Love your theme! I just recently bought it.

A quick question about the custom background. I’ve created a custom background image that I want to use throughout the site. At the moment this is resizing with the browser window (behind the content) and some of the graphic is lost on a smaller screen display ie 1280×800. Is there a way to do this? in the css perhaps?

yes that’s what is happening the image is distorting. Is there a way to have this as a fixed background so it doesn’t resize with the browser? The custom image I have has specific graphic placement ‘framing’ the content which is scrolling over it, otherwise it wouldn’t be an issue. My custom look is quite specific to my web brand so I would like to find a way to do this, if possible. Any suggestions? eg is there some change we can make in the code to allow for this?

Any chance to get jQuery Toggle & Tabs ?

Also I’ve notice a little bug in displaying the site on iPhone. The bottom bar, the copyright is too long and the two links (privacy & terms) can’t be seen

>>Any chance to get jQuery Toggle & Tabs ? Well, there are now new shortcodes for loading up (uploaded) css or javascripts, which is not yet documented. So you can now load up jQuery plugins and your js files in your posts / pages without modifying the theme files.

Examples of shortcode:

css: [csslink url=’URL_address_of_the_css_file’]

javascript: [jsfile url=’URL_address_of_the_javascript_file’]

Note: as for javascript, you may have to use jQuery(‘some selector’)... instead of $(‘some selector’)... to get your javascript work in WordPress.

Thank you for the bug report!!! I have just confirmed it in the demo site. For the time being, the only way to avert the problem is to shorten the copyright notice. You see, it takes some time to get it working in mobile devices. Testing of the version is now in the work. Hopefully to release this summer. Hopefully.

How difficult would it be to get a 2nd level dropdown menu in this template? It fits my needs perfectly… apart from the dropdown. Navigation will get a bit complicated without it, I’m building a pretty large website.

Hello, I think that it is a bug.

Please try using following code till the upcoming update version 1.2.7 (the next update will be version 1.2.6 because it has been delayed).

[soundcloud id=’2F35659565’ width=’100%’ height=’166’ ]

*Add “2F” to your id. After the version 1.2.7, you will have to use the proper id number. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Note: Please be advised that the ’ should be the one used for HTML , CSS or javascript.

Another question, when I use the “more” button in order to hide a part of the text, I still have the entire text in the page. Do I have to use another function the get the “Read more” link in my page ?

Regarding “Read more” : I have a page with a lot of text. Then i’ve used the “more” function and placed it at the middle of my text. Usually when you do this, a link “read more” is placed directly after the half of the text. In WP I have the <!-more-> placed in my page, but when I control it in the website i have my full text (instead of having just a part of the text) and no link “read more”.

Do you mean <!-more-> tag in your blog posts?

Does the tag work on your site when you use a default theme like Twenty Eleven?

FYI , you can also use the excerpt ( http://op111.net/67/ ).

@cognacqjay Thank you for your link. I actually try to use the tag in the portfolio pages. I try with the default theme and it’s doesn’t work.

Please make sure to update the WATT WP theme to the latest. Earlier versions had something wrong with the more tag.

Do you mean, the Portfolio index as in http://demo.udfrance.com/watt/wordpress/portfolio/ ? That is a different story and the portfolio single pages are NOT blog posts. And using more tag for portfolios does not make sense since there isn’t anywhere that can show long excerpts of portfolio. So you cannot use the more tag in portfolio pages, fyi.

For your needs for blogging, please use blog posts instead of portfolio. They are two different things.
