Hi,

That is great news, thank you!

On the homepage, <aside id=”aside” class=”beta”> Where the social networking icons are and there is s flicr feed.

How do I get rid of the bullet or dot that shows up there at the top?

kubasto

Hi,
can I see an example? Site or screenshot will be fine.

I just purchased this and there are absolutely no plugin or “upload” theme options on my wordpress dashboard. i am following the instructions that i downloaded as well, but none of them seem relevant to my wordpress dashboard and i have no idea how to install this

Please write the comment from the account you’ve used to buy the item. I provide support to direct buyers only.
Don’t you mean the Website – responsive WordPress theme?
Cheers

I liked the theme instantly when I saw it , however it is not as easy as the others I have purchased to get going. I get broken images when running on a local test machine, and if this cannot be fixed to make work on a local machine then what is the point. I know of very few people who do not work locally before uploading their final product. Is it perhaps the way the different paths are configured in the web servers? I get a bad request error when looking at the log in the debug window.

Thanks

Hi,
do you work on HTML version, or PHP on a local server?
PHP server is needed for TimThumb to process images.
Cheers

I am trying the HTML version and have installed it onto my IIS server after reading some of the previous threads. my IIS server runs PHP and ASP as most of the contact forms that I get with other templates run off the same server.

I am now trying to install WAMP to see if there is any difference in the results that i get.

The message I am getting back seems to be coming from TimThumbs itself.

====================================

A TimThumb error has occured

The following error(s) occured: Could not find the internal image you specified.

Query String : src=/content/banner-full-03.jpg&w=940&h=284 TimThumb version : 2.8.2

Try to define LOCAL _FILE_BASE_DIRECTORY constant in the data/php/timthumb-config.php file, to define your site’s folder. E.g for windows:
define('LOCAL_FILE_BASE_DIRECTORY', 'g:\server\mysite');
or for linux:
define('LOCAL_FILE_BASE_DIRECTORY', '/host/http/mysite');

Is there a way the gallery page when you select and image and it opens in the light box; Is it possible that it can play like a photo slide show?

kubasto

Nope.
Cheers

Hi

Is there an possibility of putting in a different slider that is not php based?

Still have no luck with your suggested fix, I am not getting MIME TYPE errors.

kubasto
Hi,
the slider is not based on PHP . If you don’t know how to handle it, you can disable TimThumb feature, by placing images the regular way, for example:
<img src="folder/picture.png" />
instead of
<img src="/" data-src="folder/picture.png" class="responsive" />

Fantastic. Did not think of trying that. Thanks.

Hi, i’ve bought your theme, now i have a question: is there a anti-spam solution for the form inside the “bottom.php” page? thank you Tony

kubasto

Hi,

No, contact form is very simple and there is no any build-in anti-spam protection.

Cheers.

hi, i have to do some modifications to the “content” section, which is the related ccs file? thank you Tony

kubasto

Hi,

Look into data/css/parts.css file.

Cheers.

Can you tell me what mobile devices this site has been tested on? I need to make sure I can allow other smartphones other than just an iPhone to display.

kubasto

Hi,

On standard web browser in Android, on Symbian3 browser and on Opera Mobile/Mini in Symbian3 and Symbian S60 phones.

Also, none of the buyers are never reported any serious problems with Website on mobile devices.

Cheers.

Kubasto i´ve just made a comment (how to hide the addres bar of mobiles browsers, eg. safari, chrome…) in the html version of this theme, please You could deleted if you want. I want to buy the wp version

Thank You and sorry

kubasto

Hi,
do you want to hide browser’s address bar? It’s beyond theme’s powers.
Cheers

Default-user

Hi

yes i wanna hide the addres bar on mobile browsers only. I´ve found some snipets of code around but really don´t know how they´ll work. Hidding the address bar we can achieve a more native appeal, don´t you think so?

kubasto

Generally websites can’t do that kind of things, which is fine if you ask me. And there is no option in Website to do that.

Recently purchased! Great Theme, I have a question I would like to increase the width & height of my logo and remove the website slogan that is next to it. How would I be able to achieve this without damaging the template? I searched the base css but did not find anything similar to what I was looking for.

Thanks for your time!

kubasto

Hi,
logo CSS is in the 434 line of the data/css/structure.css file.
If you want to remove tagline, just delete it from the code.
Cheers

Hi Kubasto

I love your package and at present developing a site on my local server. All features are working well – at least until I started to use .htaccess to create user friendly URL ’s.

I created a file “page.php” to present many pages using MySql binding for each pages content. I modified your sample “page_full.php” in the root directory. I replaced the _top.php and _nav.php includes with their content and made all the .css and .js links as absolute.

To add content to each page I have used my usual database/binding techniques to the database and tested using this address: ‘http://www.website.com.local/page.php?p=Sample' (Sample is the name assigned to a specific page within the table) Changing ‘Sample’ to ‘About Us’ all works fine and the About Us page details all work as expected images included.

However, if I use my usual .htaccess file and try the user friendly URL : ‘http://www.website.com.local/page/Sample' – I do not get my images.

My .htaccess is as follows:

ErrorDocument 404 /index.php
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^page/([^/.]+)$ /page.php?p=$1
RewriteRule ^page/([^/.]+)/$ /page.php?p=$1
Options All -Indexes
When I look to see what image the browser was expecting I notice this http://www.website.com.local/page/data/php/timthumb.php?src=resources/images/banner_2.jpg&w=620&h=285

If I modify this to http://www.website.com.local/data/php/timthumb.php?src=resources/images/banner_2.jpg&w=620&h=285 I see the image expected.

Hopefully I have given enough info. I am not sure whether the issue is with timthumb.php or its config file or if my .htaccess. I have only recently started using .htaccess and till purchasing your template unaware of timthumb. Therein lies my ignorance!

Again – very happy with your package.

Blessings and kind regards AceTutor

Hi,
I’m not an expert of htaccess, so I can’t really help with that. Are you sure it’s not blocking everything except the pattern?
Anyway, make sure file paths are correct after processing by htaaccess. Try to provide full paths for Timthumb, not relative. Plus I recommend TimThumb update.

Thanks for your prompt response.

Initially I have “solved” the problem – more by good luck than management – by relocating timthumb.php to the root directory, adding a ‘cache’ directory in the root directory and modifying your website.js file ( timThumbPath: ’/timthumb.php’, ).

All seems to now work – both ‘page.php?p=Sample’ and ‘page/Sample’ now produce the same outcome.

I need get this project complete so will push on. If I discover more I will come back to this post and add my discoveries as I know these postings may well help others with similar dramas.

If someone else can help that is great as well

Again thanks & kind regards

PS. These issues are great as far as I am concerned – it forces ownership of coding issues. What a great package TimThumb is! Appreciate now why you chose same!

hey! I brought this template a lil while ago and everything has been perfect except one little problem im having!

I have a side bar with buttons placed one below another, however, somewhere in your css is something that’s leaving a gap between all images on my site?? Can you please let me know how to solve this??

Other than this, GREAT template!!

kubasto

Try to set this images as block element, this should solve your problem. Line-height is reset to 1, but later is set for 22px for paragraphs and many other elements.

Default-user

hi again…

after 3 weeks of trying to solve this stupid white space problem i still haven’t figured it out. I re-downloaded the template to sort it that way and indeed something in your css puts a white gap between any images! If you go onto your template, and try to insert an image ontop of another image you’ll see what i mean, they should sit tight against each other (that’s what i need them to do anyway) but i can’t shift this gap! I have no idea what part of the css is causing this it’s rather weird! Please can you look into this and let me know a.s.a.p as it’s grinding my gears :)

thanks mate.

P.S: anybody reading this, don’t be put off, this is still a very very good template it’s just me being fussy more than anything!

kubasto

Hi,
can I see an example of the problem?

<select> <option>option one</option> <option>second option</option> <option>next one</option> <option>another option</option> </select>

This, not work in default browser on Android devices. :crying:

kubasto
As i can see, the problem is the jQuery plugin which i used to make possible style select element. In this situation you can disable it and back to standard look by deleting this line:
$('select').yaselect();
form data/js/website.min.js (data/js/website.js) file.
kubasto

Thanks a lot! I will try to fix it in next version of template.

sorry meant to post this question under wordpress!

How do I remove the “website” field in the comment form that new viewers would fill have to fill out?

I can’t find it in the “Theme Options” anywhere, do I have to look through the PHP or something?

kubasto

Hi,
I think you’ve mistaken items. Didn’t you meand WordPress version of Website?
Anyway, remove line 40 of the comments.php file to achieve that.
Cheers

howellcg

Yeah, this was meant for the Wordpress version, thanks for your help though it worked perfectly!

Hi, I have purchased the Website – responsive WordPress theme and trying to upload a zip file to WordPress but it fails every time. The installation takes time and then it says “Are you sure?” Is there something I am missing?

kubasto

Hi,
I think you’ve mistaken items. Didn’t you mean WordPress version of Website?
Anyway, installation process is described in the documentation included to the download package.
Cheers

Hi, I am not able to upload Website – responsive WordPress theme to WordPress . The installation takes forever and fails every time. Thank you.
