Hi kubasto Just a quick question re: Shortcodes. Can you have shortcodes, within shortcodes. For example i have a 3 column shortcode. Can i add a shortcode to styled “Tiny” button. Just tried & i think it may currently possible. Can you let me know? Thanks Rich
Yes, it’s allowed. There should be no problem with buttons inside columns, so make sure you didn’t miss anything.

I am already working with/on your very good theme. Thanks for the great set-up!!! But now I wonder wether it’s possible to have a regular portfolio template. So far it’s just video, pict or gallery to choose. Would be good to have a plain template to set up text and picts like a post or page. It’s also not possible to exclude/include picts within a wordpress gallery. Maybe it’s because its default settings (video, pict, gallery). Don’t know.

My post lists don’t seem to be showing a summary. I can either make it show a full text or no text at all. I was looking at your sample, and it shows a summary in the post lists. How did you get that to work?

for now, i’ve been using the More tag and not using featured images. the only issue with the more tag is the fact that it shows images in the post. excerpt would be nice since it doesn’t show the images.
i’m trying to get the tabs shortcode to work and having a problem with that as well. it doesn’t seem to do anything, even in a post with nothing except the tabs. http://blog.latemodelrestoration.com/test/
I used the tab shortcode on a segment of text with links and unordered lists, and it seemed to make the list items tabs instead of what i told it to. http://blog.latemodelrestoration.com/build-your-2013-mustang-gt/any ideas?
EDIT : tabs seem to be working now. a bit of trial and error, switching between preformatted and paragraph was required to get it to recognize the shortcode it seems..
It seems like all shortcodes are acting kind of strange. Looking at the source for the tabs I used, it doesn’t look like the tab DIV is ending where I put the last [/tab] shortcode.
Also, there’s a gallery at the end of the post, and it isn’t displayed, although it appears in the source for the page. I looked at the source, and for some reason the style is set to display:none. i’m gonna see if i can figure out why..

the problem with the gallery on the post i linked seems to be all related to tabs.
i made a new post with ONLY a gallery in it, and it works as expected. however, if i try to use one in the post with tabs, it injects “style=’display:none;’” into the gallery html tags.
it looks to me like it has to do with the fact that the end tag for the tabs isn’t being placed in the correct place, and is instead overlapping other divs. i confirmed this by placing a gallery BEFORE the tabs on that post, and it appears. however the gallery after the tabs doesnt. if you look at the source, you can see that the divs are overlapping. weird..

I didn’t see any documentation on the shortcodes, and on your example page for shortcodes, somehow I didn’t see the last attribute. Gotta get my eyes checked!
I forgot about the Screen Options, activated the Excerpt field. Thanks for reminding me where it was. Your help/support so far has been stellar.
Any idea when support for excluding images from the gallery shortcode will work? I tried using the image id, and that doesn’t work. Neither does the actual long name of the image. Is it because of timthumb? If so, do you see any drawback to replacing calls to timthumb in the theme with wordpress’s get_the_post_thumbnail() function and just removing timthumb entirely?
No-TimThumb option will be in the new theme version in a couple of days.

Hi kubasto – i’m loving this theme, it is exactly what I need.
I have a little problem with shortcodes – in as much as I can’t seem to get them to work!
I’ve tried disabling any plugins that I’m using but that didn’t work.
Shortcodes from other plugins work fine so it seems to just be the shortcodes in the theme.
What should I check next?

shortcodes aren’t processed in the notice box. They work everywhere, where you use WordPress editor to edit content.

Is it possible to make the portfolio made of video where they run in a pop-up window rather than going to the video page like in the demo? (just like the Gallery section but videos instead of images; if that make sense).

Can we add a full width page without the side bar? I’ve made pages without the side bar but the main content area remains small like the side bar is missing rather than growing to become full width.?
Also, on the featured posts, my repeat, so some times when I load the home page I have 3 of the same post listed others I have one post that repeats with a second post mixed in? I tried making changes to the theme options abut I’m stuck?

He created the Translation program poedit. But I do not understand how to switch to the desired language to me?

Already installed wordperss in Russian. I have created a translation in the program Poedit and copied it to a folder with the theme. Replaced file xx_XX.po. But where do I switch it to the translation that I have done?
Name the file ru_RU.po
While saving .po file, the .mo file is created. Upload both of them.
hi there! i really like your theme. i’m thinking to buy but have 1 question…if i use the slider+2 banners on my start page…what is that area where the 2 banners are? is that a widget or something i can edit? i ask because i would like to have a newsletter sign up form there instead of the 2 banners…therefore i need this area to be html editable. cheers and keep up the good work! if you need to use external images, you can disable TimThumb in Theme Options / Advanced (it doesn’t process external images due security reasons), but I recommend uploading those images to your server, which is usually a better solution.

HI, I have been trying to add a portfoilo to the menu but I dont have the option in the menu customisation area to select a portfolio – is this a feature that is turned off and on? I realise I can custom link it but I would rather have the option box as it shows in your documentation.
