WhiteSpace: Responsive & Minimal Wordpress Theme

I purchased this template but for some reason the [button] shortcode link is not working

I have it like this:

But it just loads the same page and the URL doesn’t even change on the button.

How can i fix this.

When i download the file it is still version 1.0

I’m having the same problem. I updated the themes file in wp-content with whitespace but after six attempts, the download of the theme failed because it’s missing the style.css sheet. What am I doing wrong?

I can’t seem to have a permalink named “portfolio” Example: http://website.com/portfolio

it shows my portfolio items but I can’t change the template, it seems to be stuck to the blog template.

hello i’ve bought this theme for my technical studio.

i’d like to have a double portfolio layout but i’m unable to. i explain it better: my main menu is setted on home/projects/services/contacts

and i’d like to have two separate portfolios -with different images and texts – on both projects and services..is it possible? and in which way?

I’m having the same “Portfolio” issue as others have described. When I choose “Portfolio Four columns” it doesn’t work. I get a standard blog style layout no matter which option I choose.

Please fix asap. I don’t like buying broken crap.

Thank you Joefry, I got the new updated theme by moving the new whitespace over into the themes file on the FTP . Thank you also for the recent posts widget. I have one more question concerning the blog posts. What I really needed is that when someone goes to the blog, that the first, most recent blog post appears in its entirety rather than in excerpt form. Right now, if someone goes to the blog on my site, all of the posts, including the latest, appear in excerpt form. Is there any way to get that first, most recent post to appear in its entirety? I have two questions:

· I’ve been unable to change the images viewing order into a slider. I’ve set the order into the add media > galley but it not changes into the slider.

· the second one is if there is any way to have two separate portfolios with different content.

When the home page is a static page I can’t get the slider to show. When I use the latest posts page it shows fine. Please could you advise.

Hello, what all are we able to do with the Homepage Widgits? I’d like to have a list of recent blog posts across the middle of the page that shows text and photo for the 3 most recent posts. Is this possible?

Love the theme… clean and crisp. Have shown it to several friends who agree.

Having trouble with the menu, presently:

1. It seems that it wants to add ALL top level pages to the menu automatically, whether the “automatically add new top-level pages” checkbox is checked or not, and whether under Menu>Theme Locations>Main Menu is selected and saved or not.

2. A “Home” page does not appear in my list of pages, but “Home” remains in the menu. I wish to have a Home page, but when I create a new page named Home, it places a second “Home” selection automatically in the Menu. (deleting the new page I created leaves me without a home page to edit. Doh!) I’ve tried every conceivable combination on the WordPress features, but have been unable to resolve this, including a reinstall of both WordPress and Whitespace.

Joefrey- My problem has been resolved. I completely wiped WordPress from the domain, and started over. Menu seems to be working fine now. -Brent

Hello, I have questions on a few things in the Live Preview:

1. Portfolio page – the page jumps (alignment of all objects shifts markedly) if you hover over any of the social media icons in the top row. Does this happen in the purchased theme? 2. Theme itself is very slow to page load compared to other themes. Is this due to the theme or…? 3. Is there a way to customize the color scheme of the Blog icons separately from the overall theme?

Hello! I’m interested in purchase the Whitespace theme but the sample site works very slowly. Is it normal in a demo web? i would like to know the cause of this navigation retard. I suppose it would run right hosting in other server after purchased.

I checked the site http://dianabaur.com/ she uses whitespace theme and it loads fast. . I think the problem is on my hosting. Anyway, I will figure this out what’s the real issue and possibly make an update.

having a problem with create a button which links to somewhere else – I have tried using the parameter link, href & url and none of them work within the [button] shortcode.

I have noticed a prior message about this & I appear to be running v 1.3 which should have the problem fixed. Please can you advise.

Also, as a request for the future, can you create a list of the parameters each shortcode can accept.
