I am in the UK and run a site a travel site for my father. It is very basic and simply lists bespoke travel options for Australia, South Africa and a few other locations. Your layout on Wildcat seems perfect for him. Very graphical and easy to use.

1. As he doesn’t sell online, would I be able to disable the ecommerce / basket functionality?

2. His current site uses blog post pages for the itineraries and details. Would the tour details on Wildcat use pages or blog entries for its content? If it uses pages, he would need to start from scratch I guess?

Many thanks

Joe

1. Yeah, you can easily disable the WooCommerce/checkout functionality.

2. The tour details are built using a custom post type. In your case, you would have to copy the blog post content over into the new post type. It wouldn’t require starting over but it would require duplicating the content into the custom post type.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks that’s fantastic. I think I am going to start the site from scratch actually anyway as there is a lot of dead content in the original so I may as well.

Can you confirm if this theme is compatible with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets?

When you say they are a custom post type, is it possible to not have the pages with post dates and times? I didn’t notice any on the demo site. We update the site with new content when we can, but it’s more of a bespoke travel showcase or portfolio. My father uses it to give people an idea of what he does, but relies on them contacting him to discuss what he can create for his customers. I think the current site is off putting as some of the post date stamps are very old. I’d rather they weren’t visible.

Many thanks

Yeah, this them works great on all devices including smartphones and tablets. Feel free to test out the site on your device (Make sure to remove the iframe toolbar when testing on mobile/tablet): http://wildcat.progressionstudios.com

The Trips are all created via custom post type. See the pages drop-down to see the default page layouts. The pages do not display a post date stamp. Only blog posts will display a post date stamp.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
