I think that the widgetized footer, is out of our imagination about the design of this theme.
About the crop image, you can use the crop image functionality of WP or a plugin. Also if you like, i can help you to define a post-thumbnail size for cropped images.

the centered alignment of the theme is possible with a small addition in css file.
Unfortunately the quote is the_content in quote post types.
I’m still having issues using the theme customizer. I’m using the template on a different site now, and when I try to change the colors or add background images, the changes don’t transfer to the live site, and theme customizer settings go back to default even though I hit save. Help!

The design concept needs the theme to the left. No feature to centered via theme options, but of course with a small css addition the theme is possible to align to center.
Just got this theme installed. Love the layout! I just have a few template’s I would love to see in a future update!

To create pages like these it is not necessary to define new page templates (except full width)
For Contact Page, download the plugin “Contact form 7” create a new page with default template and copy/paste its shortcode. The result is this Contact Page
Fot Image Gallery Page, just create a new page with default template, upload images to it, create a new gallery and insert it to the page. The result is this Image Gallery Page
For the full width page template, we keep the note for a future update.

you can do this via Theme Customizer.
From wp-admin, go to Appearance > Theme Customizer, open Colors section and the first option is the link color. Define it and click save.

Theme does not support multilevels menu at this time. Maybe we figure out this in a next update.
An updated version that fixes unordered list in posts is on the way. To not waiting the updated version approvement, just add this to stylesheets/layout.css file :

As i understand you mean the header width for the logo area?
Correct. Is there any way to load a header that doesn’t automatically resize to 290px?
It needs a small change to code.
- open header.php - go to line 54, and change ‘three columns’ to ‘four columns’ - go to line 64 (above of NAVIGATION comment) and change ‘nine columns’ to ‘eight columns’
save and upload it to your server (overwrite the existing header.php)
If you need bigger than this expand the logo area to five columns (and reduce the navigation area to seven columns).
If you don’t have the knowledge to do this, please send me a user/pass to your wp-admin to make this for you.

Just add this line of code to the template files
<p><?php _e('by','aude'); ?> <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?></p>under the main title of post where you want to display the author line (the main title is between h4 tag, for example line 3 of format-standard.php).
If you have difficulties to implementing this, please send an admin user/pass to make this for you.

I have been using the theme for a while and really like it, I have two questions: 1. How do I style the abstract that appears in the home page, such that it will show the paragraphs breaking?
2. How do I remove author name from the side bar (to the left of the post) since I have it already in the post below the headline?
3. Finally, how do I add more then one author to a post?

2. You can remove the line
<div class="theauthor"><?php _e('by','aude'); ?> <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?></div>from index (line 24), archive (line 44), single (line 23) and search (line 32) php files.
3. it is not build up in the theme, but you can use a plugin like this http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/co-authors-plus/ to implementing it. I never used this plugin or any plugin that supports multiple authors, so i can’t recommend something.

about question #1, when you look at the home page, you see posts that look like one long paragraph, but if you look inside the posts you see that after about 3 lines there is a space and a new paragraph. I would like the home page to show each paragraph in the excerpt of each post

you working with the excerpt field of posts or you install a plugin to handling excerpts?
it just concatenates everything in one paragraph if you don’t fill the excerpt field in each post. (creates an excerpt from content).
If you need paragraphs in excerpts then you need to fill the related field when you publishing a post.
if you don’t see the excerpt field in posts, just go to Screen Options and check Excerpt.

Quote post format needs the custom fields. To activate this, choose SCREEN OPTIONS from up right side of WordPress admin and check Custom Fields option.
After set the post title and content (that has the quote text), create a new custom field using name cite and write the name of person.
