The columns shortcode should look like this:

note: the last “clear” shortcode is used to clear floats. Only necessary if having float issues.

1. On the homepage slider, yes, You can link to any page anywhere.

2. On the homepage you can have an embeded video instead of a slider. For single pages you can NOT replace the featured image with a video.

Most of the popular e-commerce plugins create their own templates. if you want them integrated into the portfolio you’ll have to edit the template files.

Maybe you should look for a plugin that uses “shortcodes” so you can place your buttons anywhere.

You can organize portfolio items by category and link directly to them. Example:

You need to install some sort of anti-spam plugin. I personally use one called “GASP” on my sites, this adds a little checkbox to the comment form.

You should be able to bulk delete spam messages by selecting them all.

Usually when installing WordPress if you are planning on allowing for comments you should add an anti-spam plugin right away to prevent the pile-up of spam.

It should be. I updated all my themes when 3.4.2 was released. All my live demos are on a Multi-Site running the latest version, so I pretty much have to update them them all whenever WP updates and there are conflicts.

It seems maybe your slider image is simply not wide enough. Have you tried uploading a larger image? Some people set the sliders to stretch the images so they are always full-width, but this causes an issue with quality. However, if you don’t mind I can give you the CSS to make images 100% no matter what.

Thanks! It was indeed the size of the image. Now how can Im using one of the home static pages for the home page but these are not showing the HP highlights. How do I make those show up in there?

If you want a regular static page and the highlights you’ll need to create a new page template, copy the code for the highlights from index.php into the new template.

Sounds like someone installed the Options Framework plugin, double check and make sure it isn’t activated as the theme doesn’t use it.

You mean the background? You can remove with CSS like such:

 body, body.block-layout{ background: none; }

However, to make the footer actually expand across the whole site and remove the box shadow on the main element will require further editing.

Thank you for the purchase. To install the theme you need to make sure to first extract the zip from ThemeForest and locate the appropriate main theme folder and upload only that. Otherwise you will be uploading sample data, documentation, etc.

Sorry for the delay. I had a look at your site are you referring to the “related posts” section? This part only shows items in the same category as the post you are on. From what I can tell on the link above there is only 1 other post in the same category.

Besides editing the CSS you need to change your image size in functions.php line 100:

add_image_size( 'nivo-slider',  980, 400, true ); //nivo slider

After, re-upload your slider images or run the “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin.

The way the slider works is using “attachments” in WordPress an image is attached to a post when it’s uploaded to it. Unfortunately images can only be attached to 1 post so to add images to your slider you’ll need to upload your images fresh.

Quick question, how hard would it be to have a horizontal line of thumbnails of the slider images above the slider so that the viewer could have a quick view of how they look? Also how could I center the slider?

The slider this theme is using doesn’t support thumbnail pagination by default. So you would probably have to exchange it for a different slider that does, such as FlexSlider or NivoSlider.

Right now the single portfolio page is setup with a left side div for the post content and a right side div for the slider:

You’d have to edit your CSS accordingly to remove these fixed widths so then you can position the slider how you want.
