Hi Nicola,

I was wondering when you’re going to release a new WP theme. This looks a little like your ReBrand theme.

I do have a question: is there a multiple upload at once and re-arranging via drag and drop?

Unique. Would love to see a list of those 25 widgets!

Hi, all the classic ones… popular, featured, related and recent works and posts, flickr, twitter, dribbble, google maps, etc… :)

This time I made it super simple.

I’ll buy it after 5-6 hours of sleep. I promise. Btw, the Search Form? Later.

ParkerAndKent

You can place it in the sidebar ;)

Fresh design ! Very interesting

Is it hard to make “Work” tumbnails more bigger ?

ParkerAndKent

Hi,

no, very easy. I’ll help you if you buy :)

Ciao Nicola,

Will you make it so that the images could be bulk-uploaded into the works.

I am using your WP to replace my Flash site and it would be so cool if all the images under the same works category could be bulk-uploaded.

Pretty pluh-lease?

:-)

ParkerAndKent

Hi Ron,

this theme uses the WP built in images functionalities. You can bulk upload all the images you want into a post or into the media library in one shot.

If you bulk upload all the images into a post you can then create a gallery following the WP instructions once the upload is completed. The resulting gallery would be like the one in the Gallery page of the preview.

The works are all single posts, you can bulk upload all your photos in the media section, but then you should set the featured image for each post and eventually the slider if you have 1+ photos for each work.

Let me know if it’s clear.

This is what I have so far: ronaldnztan.com

ParkerAndKent

Hi,

ok… as I said in the previous message go into each work edit screen and bulk upload all the images that belong to that work and create the gallery in the work detail (like the Gallery page).

You can then add some images into the slider if you want a preview within the works list.

Parker

Ron,

before to upload the images for the WP’s gallery go into the Settings -> Media page and set the thumbnail size, otherwise you would need to regenerate all the images if you want to change the size of the thumbs… there is a plugin that does that, but better to set up the size before to start.

Parker

ronaldnztan

Hiya Nicola,

I have made my thumbnails to be 200 X 200 and also changed the following:

Medium: 800 X 600

Large: 1680 X 1050

Maximum Embed Size: 1920 X 1080

My images are optimized for large screens. My images don’t look good small. All my images are 1920 X 1038 : two portrait 816 X 1038 sits on the single 1920 X 1038 with 96 pixels in between left, center, and right.

I read that the sliders are “liquid” and so I uploaded the first image and it looked cropped on my screen size of 1680 X 1050 .

Am I doing something incorrect? Some setting I overlooked?

ParkerAndKent

Hi Ron,

the images aren’t liquid… they are loaded with the original size. The images you’re using are too big also for my 30” screen :)

If your target customers use 1680 X 1050 optimize for it, but remember that would be better to optimize also for lower resolutions.

I could make an update to enable the lightbox on the slider, in this way in the slider you will load a smaller version and then on click you would have the large version adapted for the screen. I could do this easily…

WP is a interesting beast. I think I am spoilt with SlideShowPRO that I now have to “think” differently.

I decided to make all of my images 1280 X 692 , adhering to the 1:85:1 ratio. Plus, 1280 is the max on your slider, so I just use that value.

OK: I am batch-resizing my images for your WP theme.

Regarding the lightbox comment, that would be lovely!!! I think photographers and other creatives will appreciate an added options. I really like the slider working, I just had to think differently now. :-)

I am going to finish up resizing all of my images to 1280 X 692 .

ParkerAndKent

I will add the lightbox functionality for sure ;)

Hey Parker,

again an awesome template. I would favor also a html version, so we have more play. I saw above “not yet”....does that mean its coming? :)

S

ParkerAndKent

Hi Spiv,

not yet… but not sure too… html versions get only stolen… it’s more the work to make them and upload them than the earnings you can make :)

Parker

Ah, didn’t know about the ripping problem. Thing is I am not a big fan of WP in terms of flexibility…Maybe TF should bundle them as option. You preview only the WP version to prevent ripping, but can buy the html version along with it if preferred…I wouldn’t mind paying 15$ more if there is a seperate html version included.

ParkerAndKent

I know… we’ll see, maybe for the end of this month.

Wow ! Fantastic design and navigation !

I have a few questions before i purchase : – I was wondering if the the layout could be modified to fix width ? (something like on the portfolio single pages of the gridlock theme by Orman Clark). For example : http://themes.premiumpixels.com/gridlocked/?portfolio=torino-mural-art-festival

- Is it easy to modify the space between the elements on the portfolio and on the blog template ?

- Can i modify the width of the images displayed in the portfolio sliders ? It seems to be something about 660 pixels. Can i put it to something like 900 pixels ?

And last, is there a way to fix the navigation so that the blog navigation doesn’t appear while using the contact form or the gallery sections for example ? It’s a bit confusing. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/819/capturepc.png/

Thanks for your answer. Sorry for my frenchy english!

Keep up the good work. This template is really a masterpiece.

ParkerAndKent

Hi,

let me check some things and I’ll let you know.

Parker

ParkerAndKent

Hi,

here the answers:

1: NO, the layout must stay liquid like this.

2: I guess yes, it’s just matter of editing a margin into the css.

3: Sure, the slider loads the images at the size you upload them.

4: I can tell you how to easily remove the categories from the pages.

Hi Parker,

Lovely theme – would be good to stick a homepage type screen on top – is that possible with this theme? or a step too far?

Actually, scrap my last comment – is there a way to have the top works article displaying automatically? rather than having to select it?

And further to that point, can they scroll through each one after say 30 seconds? Would be a nice touch…?

Best, Simon

ParkerAndKent

Hi,

you can auto open the first post of blog and works, not every one at the same time if I understand.

For your second question I would say no…

Very creative as all your work. There are hundreds of themes with same structure but you always get a way to bring us new and fresh ideas. And ideas that work. And for me thats all that counts.

Great piece of theme.

ParkerAndKent

Many many thanks, I appreciate :)
