Mhm… why does the translation not work for me?

I translated with po-edit and renamed the files to de_DE.mo and de_DE.po.

I transfered them to translate/theme folder

Than I cleared cache… But some phrases are not translated.

The “follow me” and the “menu” for example

Ah… it´s an backend element (but it is in frontend^^) I think I solved it. will test

I think you add these front end texts to the backend-po. But that´s no problem. Now I translated both and it works. Just figured out that there is still a comment section that is not translated, you´ll find it in comments.php

Just another questions. It´s not your plugin, I know. But in contact form 7 the textarea is transparent. I want to have the background of the textarea field and the font in the same color like other input fields. Can you tell me what to add and where to add it?

The font feature would be great. I don´t know how to do this manuel. A font upload… this would help me enormous

Hi,

tomorrow I’ll check all the translations you’ve reported. For the textarea you can assign a css style through the custom css option in the PK Options -> General Options page. If you don’t know how to create css styles for your textarea I will help you with this.

For the fonts, search for the google webfonts plugins… there are some that will do the job easily.

Hi,

if you didn’t wrap the contact form elements as explained in the PK Help section (to have the theme style) you should have the basic textarea of the plugin.

So, the css to set the style is this:

.wpcf7-textarea { background-color:#cccccc; border-color:#ff6600; color:#ff0000; border-size:1px; }

Paste this in the PK Options -> General Options -> Custom CSS and save.

Obviously adjust the color codes to your taste, I just set some random colors.

Hi Parker,

still loving Accordium But I tried to change various css-styles. Very important for me is to customize the overall color-scheme. I figured out, that images are used for this, and sometimes tiled images.

I tried to edit them and resave but the theme crashes every time.

Is it possible to have a variation of the theme that accepts every image? I think of the left back ground image. It´tiled, isn´t it? I made a new one and the background and widget behavior changed totally..

I am very frustrated at the moment. It´s not SOOO easy to customize

Also want to cange:

Menu-bar background Sub-Category Background post view/portfolio view backgrounds (title, excerpt) single post/page/blog/portfolio backgrounds widget backgrounds

and more

also important: Widgetbars are not expandable on older browsers

well, if I put my hands on my car engine to tweak it and then it doesn’t work anymore, I wouldn’t call Mercedes factory to tell them that the cars they produce are not easy to customize That’s not my expertise…

Seriously, when editing CSS you need to know what to do, they’re very delicate, especially for complex layouts like this one, that involves also javascript to work.

Obviously the TwentyEleven theme could be easier to edit than this, but it’s also simpler… you can’t expect the same level of simplicity by every different theme. I really hope you understand this.

The CSS accepts every image, so I don’t understand what you mean when you say: “Is it possible to have a variation of the theme that accepts every image?”

Now, because I don’t know what you’ve edited (css files, which images, etc) I can’t say much.

If you want to edit any graphic image of the skin I suggest you to start from the included psd files and export the new png files with the same name and SIZE of the original ones and replace them in the right location within the parkerandkent2011/images/theme/ folder.

If you edit the size of the bg images, then you will need to edit the right CSS lines to adapt to the new sizes… so I suggest to keep the original sizes, otherwise let me know what you edited. I’m telling you this because when you edit the size of something, there could be something else that relies on that size and that obviously would need to be edit too to match the new style you’re creating.

Additionally, not every background is based on bg images, so many elements have a simple back-ground color, you obviously need to check the CSS file of the skin you’re using.

So, in conclusion, I’m not in your mind and there’s no way I can know what you want to achieve. Just remember that I can’t edit a whole skin for every user, because that would be impossible for me. Obviously I’d be glad to help you.

Follow my suggestions and do 1 thing per time. If you have problems let me know what you’ve done and where… give me also a link to your theme so I can see what you’ve done and I’ll try to give you more precise instructions.

Uhm I’m a bit surprised: I just bought the theme and wanted to upload the zip file and it says that the file “style.css” is missing and therefore the theme cannot be installed.

Is this a known issue? What can i do here?

you have to unzip the package that you download here and upload within WP the theme only zip.

Hi. Actually this is my concern, too. Here, it is Persian. Once I saw an rtled version of your theme (sorry, couldn’t find the link) and the sidebar-slide function was somehow problematic. According to that theme, sidebar was left on the left side, the thing was that by clicking the plus icon, the whole content of far left part (where logo,etc. sits) moved alongside the slide, causing the two columns overlap and the logo part white off. I wonder how to fix it..

By the way, can I have ajax commenting instead of the default classic functioning? I’ve seen plugins but they require that you’ve not changed the default they-called “css construct”. Have you changed any php/css elements?

Hi,

this theme doesn’t support RTL texts, sorry… everything that doesn’t work should be fixed by you if you want to convert the theme.

I don’t understand your second questyion, if you can elaborate more would be great.

When I click on, for example, page 2 from the pagination navigation, a page opens up with results but posts will automatically start opening (sometimes one, sometimes more, the images will be huge). Same thing happens when I get results from specific a category, or any search result. What could be going wrong? (I already made sure opening the first post automatically was turned off). It seems arbitrary as to what results will expand and show giant full size images rather than thumbnails.

I was thinking about purchasing this template, but i see in the LIVE DEMO that when I click on a video and then click the “Up Arrow or Down Arrow” and go to the next video, the logo on the left side stays at the center. And The Top place where the logo is supposed to originally be “There is a blank” .

I seem to notice this misplacement of the site logo “Accordium” only happens with videos. Usually when I browse through projects or blogs using the up and down arrows, the logo stays where it is supposed to be. but with “Big Buck Bunny Video” or ” the other video” simply scrolling up or down while video is loading causes the logo to be stuck in the center, and it won’t go back until i go to another image.

This makes it look glitchy. If this can be fixed so that it doesn’t do it when users search through videos. Sold!

very useful theme, however was wondering how to clear the issue with thumbnails for posts. I have them displayed differently each time i visit the page, they either big or normal.

Also, has this theme been tested with 3.5? Or I’m the first one here :shocked:

Hi P&K, i have at my last update to wordpres 3.5.1 and php update up to 5.3 a problem. generell the homepage is showing with my favorate categorie. but when i click to a site or on “read more” always have an error 404 that the sites was not found on this server. but all sites or all post on the server. when i’m looking into the backend all sites/post there. so i understand it because for a few weeks all works fine. did you mean there is a troubleshooting with the new updates…?
