Hi Parker,

Lately I experienced some RSS feed error/bugs and I hope you can help to solve, explain and/or provide some suggestions.

Tried already to narrow it down and it seems that the phenomena happens when the url slug is the same as the image title.

For example: if the page/post url is www.domain.com/example/ and an image named “example.jpg” is uploaded to wp-contents/uploads/, when loading the article “www.domain.com/example/”, it will only show the medium-size image “www.domain.com/wp-contents/uploads/example.jpg” and the error msg : “The feed is either empty, or unavailable. Please check back later”.

I’m using the latest wp install as well as the latest version of your theme. Do you have any solution/explanation for this? Any help/insights from your side is highly appreciated.

Hi,

your seems a permalinks problem. I’ll try to explain the situation: probably you have set as permalink structure the “Post name”

/%postname%/

When you upload an image in WordPress it is saved like normal posts, in fact they are attachments post, and they too have a permalink, made with the file name (the slug).

So, as you say, if you create a new attachment by uploading a file named “example.jpg”, if using the “Post name” permalink structure its permalink would be: www.domain.com/example, because it will use the slug that is that is the file name in this case.

Now, to solve your problem you should work on this slug conflict… probably you have a post/page with the same slug (so title) of the attachment. You can try a different permalink structure (highly recommended) or edit the slug of the image or of the post…

Hi Parker, Thanks for the fast reply. Forgot to ask you another question: Inside the Cadca options for pages you implemented the “Call to action text”. As a default there is the snippet shortcode. Is there any way to disable the snippet function? Best, Kowloon23

open the Cadca/functions/meta-boxes folder and open the meta-box-post.php, meta-box-portfolio.php and meta-box-page.php files and look for:

"default" => "%snippet%" 

Make it like this in all these 3 files:

"default" => ""

Im new to wordpress and purchased this template. I see on your site you can have a full width page that also has a rotator. I dont see any option to put this in my page though. Just wondering if its a setting i’ve missed..?

Aaah light dawns... Thanks. Any possibility of eliminating the extra space on top? Above the call to action..? Or at least have the image on the full width pages display like it would have done in the rotator on the home page..?

Tried this… and other changes as well (like color)... none of them are reflecting.

I removed the breadcrumb completely, but would still like to know why changes to style.css are not reflecting in the website.

go in your WP admin and select the Cadca -> Code Integration page. In the first option check the “Add custom CSS ” checkbox and then, below in the page, enter this in the “Custom CSS ” textarea:

Hi Parker, I have been enjoying this very nice theme of yours for months. I have used this template for the site; www.korturk.com. I built up two databases for two languages; english and turkish. Recently, the image links for CADCA ROTATER in the turkish databse suddenly don’t seem to work although images stay where they are at the server and the html url for the files are very correct. I use the same files, same html url for the files for the english site also and they work PERFECT . What may be wrong for the turkish version? everything used to work perfect before…

I copied the missing file and missing images has appeared. But now, the lightbox doesn’t work even if i checked “yes”. but it works for the english version. plus, the thumbnails for latest posts on home page doesnt appear.

Hi.

because the nextgen gallery plugin a different jquery version is loaded, so to have the lightbox working again you should update its script. Download the latest version of Cadca and just replace the jscript/prettyPhoto folder (if you don’t want to update the whole theme)... then it should work fine.

For the images not showing, you have a problem with some folders… don’t know why:

As you can see the “ana sayfa” folder has a space that is not valid on a server. When you upload an image from your computer, be sure that the folder where they are stored don’t have white space, but underscores _

Probably you will need to reupload all the missing images because this bad folder name… so don’t repeat this error again.

when did you download the update? I just downloaded it to check and into the style.css file the Version says 2.1.1, so the latest one.

Check your style.css file within the theme folder.

We just updated too. Cadca admin panel says 2.0.1 but style.css says 2.1.1 So I am up to date. But I am noticing that cadca Twitter widget is not showing tweets. It says “The feed is either empty, or unavailable. Please check back later.” And when logged in to WP and when viewing the page that has the twitter widget active, my WP admin tool bar at top of my browser window is not displaying properly. When widget is removed, all looks fine. Tested it on Safari & Firefox.

I also deactivated all plugins. No dice. :(

probably I forgot to update the admin version, but if the style.css says 2.1.1 that’s the important thing. I’ll check the twitter issue, just send me an email via the contact form on my profile page with your admin log in.

No, I never had this issue, nobody had it… before to say anything I need to check your installation.

It was happening before I updated. This was why I updated. But the problem didn’t go away. It only goes away when that widget is removed. So it leads me to believe that something is wrong with the widget. Only it was working fine last week. So could it be a conflicting plugin? So I deactivated all plugins. No dice.

I would like to enlarge the menu footer height. I try to have a look in many files like footer.php or footer-options.php but I don’t find where to look and what to do. The menu-footer is approximatly 50px height, and I would like to enlarge it to 100 px.
A trick for me ?

Yes, I think your are right. I use the “skin 2” (www.5as1.com), so for me, instead of dark (grey dark?), it’s brown.

Sorry to bother you with my issues. I can see in these comments that Abneyville has (actually had ;-) an issue with his twitter widget. I can see on his website that he seems to have reduced his issue because he’s twitter widget is working properly. I can’t find here in the comments, how he made this miracle. Maybe you explained him by email. Actually, I have exactly the same issue and tried exactly the same tricks. Would you like please to explain here how to reduce this issue, or by email if you want ?

I’m having an issue with the Twitter feed in the footer. The message is saying ‘The feed is either empty, or unavailable. Please check back later.’ I saw some others had this issue and it was handled off the forum. I tried emailing but haven’t seen any responses. Can you assist? My theme is updated to the latest and so is Wordpress.
