what do you mean with “integrate with mobile”? On mobile devices you will see the theme exactly like this, unless you use a plugin that creates a mobile version automatically, but I’ve never tried any of them and I don’t know if they work well.

did you set up the demo contents? This is not flash, so you have to start to understand how WordPress works.

Start from a fresh WP installation and once you activate the theme follow the “Demo contents setup” guide of the PK Help section of the admin.

I looked into your requests and I have good and bad news.

The good one is:

I can add the read more button to the news that link to the detail page like the ones of the blog posts, keeping the gallery button too. So you can use the news section as blog without problems.

The bad news is:

I’ve thought about adding pagination to the news, but I think it would create an usability issue. The news are shown 1 per time, so if a pagination is present in the footer users would click there to change news instead of scrolling… the instinct would drive them to the pagination to change content.

Then, to add it, I would need at least 3 hours of work and so this feature would be more a custom work… usually I charge 80$/h for custom works, so I can’t handle this for the 20$ I get from the sale, that pays off just the theme and not additional services… I guess you understand.

In any case the news page loads all the posts under the news section, so a pagination isn’t needed. If you think that loading all the news at one time is too much, you can always set a limit… so you can display just your latest 10 or 20 news.

So I’m going to buy your theme tonight. I seriously can’t find anything else relatively close to the functionality of what I want to get out of my overall web experience.

I will however have to customize the portfolio section almost entirely but that was to be expected for what I hope to accomplish. Generally I’m going to combine to themes I purchased.

This theme as well as the bookcase themes portfolio / home page. Both of your guys home pages nail different sections of my website that I want. The hard part will be combining them together without any conflicting. Soooooo wish me luck , and after purchase I will be contacting you about that view post button you mentioned you would put in. I will just make a custom pagination afterwards. Right now I just need my new site up. Its been ages since I’ve blogged.

Becuase HTML themes are just stolen by people and the sales are few for this reason, we don’t have any interest in publishing HTML versions of themes… the sales we usually get don’t even pay the time needed for the upload of the file and the creation of the packages.

Hi,

to use the WordPress gallery shortcode you have to attach the images to the post/page where you want the gallery. Just above the editor click on the icon to upload images, upload them and you’ll see that they will be part of the post/page gallery. You can also upload/attach images by clicking on the featured image of the post/page.

Before uploading, in Settings -> Media of the WP admin, you can set the thumbnail size. You have to do this before the upload, so the images can be resized as you want

no, that’s enough… set the price and the currency and then just save. In the menu/products list you will see the price.

Are you sure you have saved the post after entering the price?

Hi Ronny,

basically you don’t need any technical skill to work with WordPress… it’s easier than HTML . You just need to create your contents and that’s it, everything happens within the admin. Maybe you just need to get a little familiar with the WordPress interface, but trust me is very easy.

Additionally, we have a shortcode generator, that allows you to create content for your pages in a few clicks through a graphic interface. You can also add HTML in the pages, so if you know also the HTML you shouldn’t have problems.

open the parkerandkent2011/functions/pk_theme.php and after line 107 you’ll find the image sizes:

add_image_size('thumb-blog', 470, 264, true);
add_image_size('full-blog', 690, 388, true);
add_image_size('thumb-products', 80, 80, true);
add_image_size('medium-products', 470, 264, true);
add_image_size('full-products', 690, 388, true);

For te blog images, replace the second number (height) with 0 and true with false. Doing this way they won’t be cropped and so they will keep their ratio.

Obviously the already uploaded images will need to be regenerated for the new formats. You can upload them again or just use a plugin (look for “regenerate thumbnails” plugin).

So, let’s create a new image specific for the blog list… open the parkerandkent2011/functions/pk_theme.php and add this line where the other image sizes are set:

add_image_size('thumb-blog-list', 470, 264, true);

Then, open the index.php file in the main theme’s folder and edit line 11: in this way:

<?php the_post_thumbnail('thumb-blog-list'); ?>

This is enough, obviously you have to regenerate all the images again as I suggested the other time too

Btw,

in Settings -> Permalinks set a permalink structure that is not the default one and save. Then in the PK Options -> General Options select the page to use for the products archive (the menu page in the preview) and save.
