basically I’m escaping the copyright text to validate the copyright symbol. To avoid this issue I guess you can just remove the escaping from the right file.

Open the parkerandkent2011/functions/theme/pk_footer.php file and at line 41 change this code:

echo '<p class="pk_copyright">'.esc_attr($footer_copyright_text).'</p>

with this one:

echo '<p class="pk_copyright">'.$footer_copyright_text.'</p>

Save and update the file on your server.

Let me know if this works, because I didn’t test it.

Well, if you add a link is always better to add the http too, especially if you enter the link tag manually

For the mail problem, I don’t know… check if you have the latest plugin version and if you still have problems you should contact your hosting support to check why the mails aren’t working… I can’t do much about that, they should work

1 Be sure to have set a products page in the PK Options page of the wp admin. Also, it could be a permalink problem because your actual domain… try to update the permalinks to another structure in Settings => Permalink always in the admin. If these actions don’t fix the problem, don’t worry, when you’ll move the site to the primary domain it will work.

2 In the page edit screen click on the “Screen Options” button on the top right and check the discussion box. Then, below the main page editor will appear a new panel where you can disable coments and trackbacks.

you can simply disable my filter (to validate shortcodes output). So, just comment line 142:

add_filter('the_content', 'pk_do_shortcode', 9);

into parkerandkent2011/functions/theme/pk_filters.php.

I found the problem… basically is needed a line in my function, so always in the same file, if you want to keep my filter, add this line:

if (is_array($v)) continue;

after the foreach at line 122.

no, that’s not possible, the menu archive layout is like the one in the preview. In any case what you’d like to do isn’t really possible with WP, because also doing a 3 columns layout they won’t be 3 different menu categories, but the same category (or whole archive) displayed in columns instead of a list.

You could create 3 main categories of products/dishes and add them directly to the navigation menu on the left, so you would have 3 different pages, each one displaying different contents. So in this way you would have 3 separated menus.

Ok, so let’s start from here. Create 4 pages: Home, Menu, Gallery and Contact. Just set the titles and save, no contents, no nothing… we’ll think later about contents.

Then, go to Appearance -> Menus in the admin and create a new menu. Once created the menu save and assignit to the “Main Menu” location on the left box you’ll find in the same page.

Do these 2 steps and let me know. If you can give me a link to your theme I can check if you’ve done everything correctly.

Hi Dan,

cool. I don’t see the menu, I guess you didn’t add to it the pages you have created. Always in the Appearance -> Menus admin page you should find a box on the left called “Pages” with the list of your pages and a checkbox on the left of each one. Check all the pages you created and click on the “Add to Menu” button. Then save and you should see, below your logo, the menu in the site.
