I’m sorry, but I don’t think we’ll make this theme responsive… making it responsive would need a complete restyle, so we will publish new responsive themes for sure, but we won’t touch our existing ones. In the end, not every site needs to be responsive. This theme, and the other ones, are perfect on tablets. Probably they lack a little of usability on mobile phones, but that’s not the end of the world

The instructions are quite vague as to setting up the product pages archive or otherwise. As it stands the demo content doesn’t adhere to the instructions either. Could you please elaborate on their makeup and implementation. Thank you.
Hi,
create a default page (empty) and call it as you like. Then, in the PK Options -> General Options, always in the admin, set this page to be the product archive. All your products will be then displayed within this simple page, that you canj add to the menu as any other page. Exactly how it works for the blog, when you select a static page in the Settings -> Reading admin page.
Remember to set a new permalinks rule under Settings -> Permalinks… don’t use the default one.

Things are coming together. Still having an issue with the “products” after going over the scenarios listed I chose to have a comprehensive list for all products and to have a product category in the main navigation. I have an archive page set up to show all products. However, the archive does not display all of the products. Each product is listed individually and creates a seperate page for each item in the archive display. How can I get multiple products to show up in the archive page?

the archive displays a list of all the products and from the list you can go to each product detail page… This is how the archive works, on the preview of the theme too.
I don’t understand what you mean when you say that “each product is listed individually”... can I have a link to your site or can you elaborate more?

Take a look at what I’m referring too here:

I think you’re simply loading 1 post per page. Check your Settings -> Reading options in the admin, be sure to set an higher number of posts to display per page.

Hey there, love the theme. Just about done with my project but needed to know how to assign an order to the ‘product categories’ so that they show up in the order i’d like. ex. now it says “All/Appetizers/Late Night Menu/Salads/Sandwiches” but i want it to be like so”All/Appetizers/Salads/Sandwiches/Late Night Menu” Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

unfortunately WordPress doesn’t give an option to change the categories order, they are ordered by name.
Considering that you only need to change the position of “Late Night Menu”, you could just find a category name that goes after the S of Sandwiches… like “The Late Night Menu”... if you change the name, you could also change the slug to match it.
Let me know if this solution can work for you, otherwise we should try with some custom code.

Luckily I was able to go with that naming convention, and its all worked out. I am all done – but have two more questions that I believe the client will ask me.
1. How would I make the font size of the menu/left sidebar bigger?

I’m having a issue with the [pk_standard_slider] on page http://www.thegatsby.net/athome/gallery/I built the site added the content and have moved it to a new server. The sider worked fine on the dev server, I have had some difficulty getting everything working on on the new server. I have got it all working. Apart from this sider.
Just doesn’t seam to run? the image are linked thought from the correct server in sides but dont play on the front end.
How can I fix this

For already created posts and pages, edit them, above the save/update button there is in the top right corner the “Screen Options” button. Click on it, enable the discussion panel and then, below the editor, once it appears just uncheck the comments and trackbacks and then save.

did you assign a page for the Products in the PK Options -> General Options? Then I suggest to change t a non-default permalinks structure under Settings -> Permalinks.

Is there any way to make the News auto rotate? For example, in the demo, on the home page, you have news items as the home page. Can I make those three news items auto rotate (i.e., a “slideshow” for news items)?

For those looking to order your Product Categories, I found a plugin that seems to work fine. I’m not normally a plugin person but sometimes it just works. Hopefully this one will stick. So far so good!

I’m having problems with the star ratings and the “Include Product Categories” selections. The star ratings won’t seem to go away and the “Include Product Categories” selections show me all of the Product Categories. Meaning, if I choose to show only Product Category A and B, the page still shows me all of the Product Categories instead of just A and B.
Someone else had these same issues a few pages back but I didn’t see a resolution. Any insights?

For the categories you decide which ones you load into a page, but you don’t exclude them from the WP query, so in the categories filter you will always see all of them. The filter and the page options are two separate things, you probably can hide the other categories via css, but I’m not sure about this… I should look at your page.
