Very clean. Good luck with sales!
Thanks!
Highly interesting! The first theme that really focuses on article design. A rare thing.
And beautiful, forgot that
Cheers! Tom

+2 moreExactly what i was searching for you tom and i wanted to share the link
Nice theme
Thank you!
So clean, I almost can’t see it!
Nice job.
Thanks!
@Duotive, indeed!
Just watch, regardless whether this theme is going to sell or not – which I truly hope it will – you’ll see a move towards article design. Printed media are dead, they just start to recognize that. Where do you think all those designers are going to be moving to? Online magazines. And they will want to be able to design like they did for printed media.
Therefore, Dwoolf, may I suggest you add different grids to the theme? That will be a very important feature for writers that love design.
Gotta finish two other projects first, but will purchase this theme soon!
Thanks for your support Tom! There actually are shortcodes for layout (2, 3, 4, and 6 columns). I planned on showing these off on the Masthead page and a few articles but it slipped my mind. I’ll definitely get them up on the site though so people know they are available.
Ah, great job!! I sincerely hope people notice what a unique theme you have created!

+10 moreFinally David! Good luck with sales!
Thanks kailoon!
Love the structure and simplicity! Beautiful. Good luck!
Thank you!
Love this theme, I’m recommending it to a friend who was looking for something similar. Good luck with sales!
Thanks!
A theme completely filled with my interest! Really IMPRESSIVE and JEALOUSY work. Good Luck buddy
Thanks!
Hi, really great theme! I’m curios though why did you not simply embed the fontsquirrel fonts into the theme?
Themeforest policy I wasn’t aware of when making the theme. Luckily getting the font is easy and free and I have instructions at the top of the help file for how to add the font.
Absolutely wonderful idea , text rules !
Wish you good luck with this and congrats for unique idea , nice job on this.
Thanks!
Alright David!!
As a writer, I LOVE . Trying to see how I can use this immediately!
Congrats on this unique theme!
Thanks!
How is this a $30 theme? It seems like users are paying for the lack of options and features.
$30 is on the lower side of pricing for WordPress themes on Themeforest (and pretty much any where else where WordPress themes are sold).
As for a lack of features, I’m not sure how two styles, mulitple shortcodes for layout options, additional post editor settings, and some custom widgets is a lack of features, but if you don’t like it you don’t have to purchase…
@jpelker One of the main features of this theme is that it looks aesthetically pleasing without having to rely on stock art, slideshows, 3rd party videos etc.
It requires talent to make text the focus of a design – sure, the author could have slapped on Yet Another Slideshow but, personally, I’m jaded with these cliched ‘features’.
What happens when I buy a theme but don’t have any interesting and unique images to put in my slideshow?
Congrats to the author for being brave enough to put out something different.
Thanks!
Yeah this theme is pretty radical, and in a way quite controversial for themes on here. I do love the article layout.
However, it is just too bare for me. If this was added to a (hate using this term) normal theme then I wouldnt hesitate to buy it. Still there will be people out there who this is exactly what they need, will keep an eye on your work though.
Good luck
You hit the nail on the head! The idea was that you shouldn’t have to buy a theme with extra features you won’t use just to have a nice looking blog (and this theme tries to make that part look really good).
Incidentally, I learned a ton about the intricacies of the blogging aspect of WordPress, so look out for mature blog features in future themes not necessarily focused on the blogging part!
By the way, if you have suggestions for features related to the idea of writing, blogging, etc. I would love to hear them as I am always updating and refining theme features.
Non-nonsense, focus is on intelligible content, rather than distraction. This theme is quite elegant, and your target market is going to love it as much as I do. This little comment box is going to say, “PURCHASED” in the next day or two once I set aside the time to focus. Well done, Sir.
Thanks for your support!
Purchased & loving it. Do you have any plans to include social media icons in the header area?
I do not, but I am going to create a proper footer with it’s own custom menu if you wanted to put your social networking links there.
One of the best theme’s I’ve seen in a while. Might by this very soon
Thanks!
This is really great looking and I enjoy the design.
Here’s some comments:
1) Can you show the shortcodes? i can’t seem to find an example of them 2) for the web.com/articles, i would think it would be cool to an option for infinite scroll instead of pagination. 3) at the bottom of each article, have a “you might also like” but in the same design type 4) options for disqus/facebook comments 5) a picture layout in the posts, similar to how tumblr does it (stacked and then opens in lightbox)
thats all i can think of for now..
i’m getting tired of the direction of the current wordpress themes. I was using tumblr for a long time. I love the designs but its just not robust enough for my projects.
Thanks! I will put up what the shortcodes look like in the main article of the demo so everyone knows what they will be like. There are actual buttons in the post editor for directly inserting shortcodes as well.
I do not have any plans for auto loading new posts, but you could set the posts per page to be very high.
I will look into some sort of “you might also like” functionality.
I think disqus is supposed to plug directly into the comments functionality, but I might take a look at this and facebook commenting as well.
I’m not sure how tumblr does that, but you should be able to get different sizes of images using the layout shortcodes. As for an overlay, I’m not a fan, plus you can insert full width images directly into articles.
Thank you for your suggestions!
Looking good
Thanks!
Love it! This is what I need. However I would rather see a facebook-it option than twitt-it. Do you plan to add a facebook button for articles? Best regards!
I’ll check it out and have an update soon if I include it in there, thanks!
