i am having the same problem, is this theme wordpress 3 compatible?
It will work in WP 3 .0
What seems to be the issue? I don’t know what comment you’re referring to when you say the “same problem.”
Hi,
first I would like to congratulate you to your really nice theme ! I have a question and maybe you can help me with it.
I edited the theme so instead of the pages, the categories ( with sub-categories) are displayed. I now would like to change the sidebar category area so that only sub-categories of the chosen category will be displayed.
Do you know what I need to change for that ?
best regards
Are you still supporting this theme?
Have you realized how close the tags are to the title on a page, I was hoping there would be a slight fix for that?
Hello valendesigns,
Is there a way to have the third level child shown on the category menu?
Thanks,
“Next Page” Navigation sends you to the next page url, but displays the same content as page 1. Any ideas?
What is your site URL and do you have other plugins that may cause conflicts?
tecepedia.com is the site.
The link at the bottom changes but not the page itself. I do not think there are any conflicting plugins. However you will need a user name and password to get on there.
Hi,
This is very nice designed simple theme. I have two issue.
1. I checked with w3c to validate of HTML & CSS . They say some errors and I have fixed as they recommend. The site is http://wixsites.com/subwp3/ Does this causing any problem to go further on?
2. Simple question. How users can resister?
Thank you so much. Very nice design.
Michael
The validation errors you experience are not going to be an issue and users register through WP.
One more thing Please!
My home page shows only post titles with ratings. How can I make this to show like your Demo(title and article)?
http://wixsites.com/subwp3
Thanks.
You need to follow the directions on how to set the templates for the rating plugin, it’s all on wpwikitheme.com
Hello,
I am interested at this theme, is really nice. An information, is possibile increase the number of the post on Homepage? I saw many demo of this theme but it show always only 4 posts.
Thank you
You can change the posts on the home page very easily.
I have the same issue as cdankele, above. I’ve got about 22 FAQs altogether, but only 5 showing. When I click page 2 or 3 to see more, the same 5 are showing on the new page, and so on.
I have no plugins except the ones that came with the package and the two that we were told to download (WP Wiki FAQs, WP Post Ratings and WP PageNavi). I have Akismet activated as well, but that is all.
Any advice how to fix the FAQ section so it is all visible to the readers?
PM me with your WP login details and I’ll take a look at it.
Hi, I am getting this error when I use the search tool…
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wpwikifaqslist() in /nfs/c05/h04/mnt/114408/domains/picturesbycity.com/html/wp-content/themes/wiki/search.php on line 51
Can you please advise? Thanks.
I am not getting that error on your site can you PM me with more details and possible login info to your WP install?
Hmm, I don’t think the author is paying attention to this thread, much…for whatever reason. Would be nice to know at least why he’s delayed or when he’ll be able to answer inquiries. It’s very discouraging to see certain authors ignore those who need support, once an item has been purchased. I don’t expect a response the same day or even the next day, but when one waits over a week – that does leave a big question mark in one’s mind…
I’m on my holiday vacation and am not able to respond to your questions in detail, sorry.
When clicking on a category in the sidebar, and then on a subcategory, a blank page is shown. It looks like the file category.php is missing.
You don’t need a category.php everything falls back to index.php. There are actually a lot of files you don’t need in a WP theme. Anyhow, if it’s blank it’s a completely new bug and PM me you login details and I’ll take a look.
@ mikeseo
You need to set up the ratings plugin so the home page is displayed as in the demo.
I got specific settings for that let me know if you need them and I can email them to you.
Hope this helps.
I didn’t specify the error I get is only when the search tool doesn’t find what is looking for. For example if I type “fksdflksdfhksd” and hit enter it will give this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wpwikifaqslist() in /nfs/c05/h04/mnt/114408/domains/mywikibeach.com/html/wp-content/themes/wiki/search.php on line 51
In your sample I get:
Search Results for: fksdflksdfhksd
No articles or FAQs were found. Try a different search?
What can I do to get that in my site. Thanks!
They should be exactly the same, I’ll look at the code to see if it’s different.
I’ve purchased and installed the theme, and have set up the ratings plugin, faqs, etc. according to the instructions on the demo/preview site, however, on the home page, I’m not seeing the recent or popular posts at all – it’s blank, and the left sidebar has slightly moved to the right, so it seems misaligned.
I’m running WP version 3.0.4, not sure if that has anything to do with it, but am definitely having issues and need some help. I can’t make the URL public as its is an internal knowledgebase for my company that I’m trying to set up, but if you’d like to see it, I can send you a PM with the info. Please let me know what I need to do to fix this – thanks!
Actually, my apologies, it seems like the margins are not set properly as I do see the “Popular Articles” and “FAQs” sections now, but they’re still below as if they can’t wrap be wrapper properly, and the left sidebar is pushed more to the right than it should be, and I can’t figure out why that’s happening margin-wise or CSS -code-wise. I have not make any changes to the theme other than updating the logo image. Help?
Still facing this issue… your help would be appreciated!
Interesting – my test site looks fine in IE8 but not Firefox – isn’t it usually the other way around?
I’m using version 1.0.2 – here’s a screenshot using Firefox:
http://grab.by/8PcN
and using IE8 in compatibility mode:
http://grab.by/8Pdl
and using IE8 in normal mode:
http://grab.by/8Pdp
There must be something in the CSS that’s throwing the newer browsers off – I really need help with this asap… still waiting for a response…
You can fix the issue by changing the height value of the welcome message in the style.css file. The height is set to tall for the amount of text you’re using.
Hello,
I wanted to edit the logo to my own sitename yet the font Gotham Black isn’t supported in my edition of photoshop..
Where can I download it?
Regards!
It’s not a free font. There are many alternatives available out there though.
Found Err while upload pls feed back
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
Destination folder already exists. /wp-content/themes/wiki_final_1.0.2/
Theme install failed.
The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
Name Description wiki_final_1.0.2 Stylesheet is missing.
You’ve uploaded the complete zip file and tried to install it. The zip theme is inside other folders in that main zip.
