One question regarding photo galleries: is it possible to add some text to the photos (which is shown as a caption)?

And by the way: I experience a problem with the Live Preview when having switched to another colour scheme (except “Modern Blue” and “Stylish Black” – these 2 seem to work): if clicking on a thumb in the gallery, the control buttons and the header “Featured image” are not shown, only the picture with a white area under it. (After a reload of the whole live preview page and without switching the colour scheme– or switching to “Stylish Black”, it work’s fine.) I use FF 16 .0.1 and OS X 10 .6.8.

Hello there,

You can add text if you like. I’m using the flexslider here and you can add captions if you like. You will need to add some extra markup though to your page.

I have only activated the gallery for the blue and black theme which is why you only see the gallery here.

g’day mate, i have add the multi content tab on the news-item page and have listed three tabs. 1st I am using as a blurb 2nd i am going to make a list of pdf’s to download 3rd i am trying to get the gallery to function within the tab? is this possible? i seem to be having trouble as i have change th

I would like to have the gallery use images from Flikr, so that my client can update their images on their own. How do I make this gallery do this? Same with youtube playlist instead of listing individual videos in the code.

You can add images from Flickr, but this will require some development. Do a search for jQuery and Flickr integration. You can try the same with youtube.

I generally use WordPress to create this functionality.

Hi,

Have you purchased the WordPress theme or HTML theme? It seems to me that you have purchased the WordPress theme and are trying to install the main download file.zip. Please unzip this and install the theme found within the theme folder.

This isn’t a WordPress theme. You would get the css error if you were trying to install this as a WordPress theme. You would need to purchase this for WordPress:

Hi, i bought this and when i tried to add some jquery mobile js to the site, the menu does not work unless u refresh the page. like u go a page, u have to refresh for the dropdown menu to work. can u help pls? the js i tried putting in are for the generic jquery mobile buttons like commone apps. the scripts i tried to put in the page and crashes yours is:( i put these just above the </head>)

Hi there,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you and many thanks for purchasing. When you develop for jQuery mobile you really have to develop this from scratch you cannot add the jQuery code and expect it to work! I had the same problem.

Start with a basic template, get that working and then add the code from the WOW! theme.

I will try, but i’v tried everything…it works as two separate page one with menu another page with jquery buttons but when i put together into 1 page visually my jquery buttons work but the menu do not dropdown unless i refresh the page once. is there any way u can point me to the right direction to solve this?

Hi,

I had exactly the same problem with having to reload the page. The best way to do this is to create a very basic website and get that working. Then start adding content from the WOW! theme. When you get an error then you will be able to diagnose the problem. Loads of tutorials here for help: http://jquerymobile.com/resources/#Themes The forum is also very good.

Question about Video players

in iPhone and Android

If the player has a ‘full screen’ button on the control bar, will the video expand to fill the entire screen on the phone?

If so, will it turn automatically into Landscape mode if user turns the phone around

I want to feature videos for a single purpose site design… lead generation. They watch videos, then the desired action is click Call icon or Contact icon. So full screen video is a must. I’d like to see the Call and Contact icons stay fixed at top or bottom too. Even while a full screen video is playing. Is this possible?

The video will play natively within the device. So, for iPhone and Android will play fullscreen.
