If we would like to show an ad in the header and footer of the start page where would we place the ad code?
Hi Nian,
Please use one thread and try not to open a new one each time you have another question!!!!
You could add your ad to a widget area if you wished. Please look in the user guide for further help.
Thank you.
Think your theme is well put together and was easy to get about 85% of my website mobilized with about 30 minutes, however my website uses custom post types for vehicle listings and display. These pages are absolutely needed in the mobile website. How can custom post types be implemented into this theme?
Thanks
Hi mediateknix,
Thank you for purchasing WOW ! mySite.
To get the custom post types to work you would need to add them separately to functions.php within the WOW ! theme files. Have you done this before? This is the only way to do this.
What are they exactly?
Thanks,
Rd
Thanks, we were able to get it figured out and working, we just needed to make a couple changes to our custom post type templates that were mucking things up.
I just purchased this and noticed that it doesn’t re-size the images in a post or a page like wp-touch pro. Does it?
Hi,
Many thanks for purchasing.
Please try adding this to your stylesheet:
p > img { max-width:100% !important; height:auto !important; } ...or with a class: img.size-full { max-width:100%; height:auto !important; } ...or if image is a link: a > img { max-width:100% !important; height:auto !important; }
Rd
Where do I add this code in the stylesheet?
Hi,
Please add it to the bottom. Make a backup of style.css first though.
Rd
Thanks that worked.
Is it possible to change the news page slug to something else to better suite my native lang? Also change the news category to something else?
You can do if you like. In index.php look for the slug and change it then use this new slug as a category hook.

Wow style, very well!
Thanks

After purchase and diving into the documentation for installation of the theme it seems it needs two wordpress installations to run this theme and my desktop theme…not really what I wanted …I’m looking for something that can translate my desktop theme to mobile…where to from here??
Hi Halinab,
Thank you for buying this theme. If you already have an established website then having a separate and optimised website for mobile is a great choice. This is the type of customer that buys WOW ! mySite. Its quick and simple to set up and gives you a mobile presence in no time. What it sounds like is that you’d like to have a website which adapts to all different viewports or screen sizes. You could therefore try a responsive theme. This would mean however starting your website from scratch which can be a much longer process.
Both options can be considered when thinking about what mobile route you wish to take.
Hope this helps.
Rd
Thanks for the comments on responsive themes….I don’t think they are there yet either for a full experience…. I’d like ONE backend and many front end delivery points for mobile devices and even facebook. (you see I use an iframe to include it in the facebook page) ...so sick of duplication and the upkeep of the many sources these days…I have an IT background myself but theming is not my strong point…thanks again
Oh I’ve tried a desktop to mobile switcher as you suggested to others – but it does not translate very well…..the search for a one stop shop for a mobile and desktop theme continues…
Hello, I love the theme. I am wondering how I must make the home page slider taller in height (similar to the inner featured images) THANKS !
Thank you. You can simply add taller images and the slider should resize accordingly.

Hey, I just purchased this theme, what program do I need to edit it?? (sorry for my lack of knowledge! i’m new to website editing!!)
Hi Michelle,
Don’t worry have emailed you.

Hello Ok I am very close to launching my mobile site! One thing I can not figure out. When creating a post or using the “post” div – there is an arrow that appears in the bottom right corner. I have removed the image source from the css – on a desktop computer the arrows are gone – but on my iphone and galaxy I still see them… Any help? Thanks
Hi there,
Can you please send me a link so that I can help?
Rd
Hello. With the number of post displayed I’ve followed the settings->reading and set it to 5 but I am still getting 10 post. I have changed the index-news.php where I changed category-name to e.g. artists and created a page named news but with slug of artists. Actually I don’t want a news page, I more prefer to call it Latest page so it would show ‘latest’ on the menu. I ‘m confused here, help. What changes do I need to do?
Also my More button goes to the home page every time. Thanks.
Hi Jbitt
Are you changing it where it says Blog posts show at most? I have just tested this with 5 posts setting Blog posts show at most 4 and I get the pagination kicking in with 4 posts showed initially.
Can you not keep the page name as news? Then change the navigation label in menus? You can change the navigation page name to whatever you want. In Appearance > Menus change the navigation labels. These can be different to your page names.
Does this help?

Hello, bought and installed that great theme. However I have a little problem.
I have installed the theme on an existing wordpress along side with my desktop theme, and I use the Any Theme Switcher to switch the theme on mobile devices.
My desktop theme is also a premium theme and has its own shortcodes. That’s why I had to create the duplicates of all the pages for mobile theme without those shortcodes. Fortunately we don’t have many pages. There is no problem till here. All looks great on mobile, and desktop.
But what bothers me is that, the mobile versions of pages that I create are indexed by Google and I can visit those mobile versions of pages from desktop and they are themed as expected with the desktop theme but without the stripped shortcodes. And that doesn’t look great on desktop.
My question: Is there any way that you can recommend, that the mobile versions of pages won’t be available to desktop, or better, if someone tries to visit the mobile version of a page from a desktop pc, he would be redirected to the desktop version?
Many thanks Elin
Hi Elin
Many thanks for purchasing.
Have you considered using the canonical url tag?
http://www.seomoz.org/blog/canonical-url-tag-the-most-important-advancement-in-seo-practices-since-sitemapsThis might help.
Rd
Hello Rd,
thanks for your quick reply. I could try the canonical url tag, but my actual problem is not only SEO . The pages for mobile version are stripped off of the shortcodes from the desktop theme, and if anyone tries to visit those pages on desktop, they look ugly.
That’s why I want to find a way to hide them completely from desktop users or redirect them to the desktop version if it is possible.
Hi there,
You can add your desktop shortcodes into the mobile site by copying the shortcodes from your desktop functions.php file to shortcodes.php of your wow! theme.
Can you try this?
The canonical url tag will prevent any mobile pages from being indexed a bit like using robots.txt.

Hi
My client purchased this mobile theme, its really great. However I noticed that It will not automatically show existing content from my desktop theme, is there a way to do that?
Second, I tried to just create news page, with news posts as directed on the documentation and followed the instructions on how to set up the menu, but for somereason nothing is happening when i click on menu.
Even if i named it bpmainmenu and in another occasion tried to select it on theme location.
Another thing, the desktop theme is using wp ecommerce for its products, is there a way that I can make it show on the mobile site?
please help. Thanks.
Hi,
Many thanks for purchasing.
Of course you can add content from your desktop website. What you need to do is add a second category to your posts. You can then target this new category with your mobile webpage.
It sounds as if there is a conflict somewhere which is why your menu isnt working. Can you turn off all of your plugins to find which one is causing the problem?
I have used jigoshop with this theme but not wp ecommerce yet.
Hope this helps.
Rd
Thanks for your reply, I tried testing with the plugins and guess what its wp ecommerce that is conflicting with it
Would you be able to test on your end? because we have already invested so much time fixing wp ecommerce (pain) that moving to another cart might not be an option.
Hi there,
Email me a link to your mobile website please if possible?
Rd
not sure how to send an email to you but this is the link to the test site:
http://webconnectsolution.com/clients/insyncfixIt’s difficult to diagnose the problem like this. Can you upload to a new page like webconnectsolution.com/mobile ?
Thanks,
It’s at http://www.webconnectsolution.com/mobile/ now please try , thanks a lot.
Hi Hope you were able to access the link, I created a user name for you too if you need it, I just need your email so i can email it to you in private. thanks
i would like to disable the top menu button, how can i do this?
Hi Craig
Thanks for purchasing. You can remove it completely:
#btn-menu {display:none}Hope this helps.
Rd
Hi Rd
I have just purchased your theme and installed and set up a site. I have made well over 100 mobile websites in the past year and this is the first time I have used your theme. All i can say is you picked the perfect name . WOW .
What a great theme, very intuitive and excellent documentation.
Excellent work
John
Hi John,

were would i insert the code ”#btn-menu {display:none}” ???
ok i was able to insert {display:none} in style sheet and that worked, however it still has blue bar across top were menu button was, how can i get rid of that?
Hi again,
.top-nav {display:none;}Rd
Presale questions:
1. Do you know if Adsense Ads display properly on your mobile theme? 2. We use screen shots on our Blog, do you know if those images are automatically resized/responsive (or do they fall off the screen)?
Hi there,
Yes they will display correctly. Images are resized using this css:
p > img { max-width:100% !important; height:auto !important; } ...or with a class: img.size-full { max-width:100%; height:auto !important; } ...or if image is a link: a > img { max-width:100% !important; height:auto !important; }Hope this helps.
Rd
You only answered one of my questions.
Hi,
Yes, they should display correctly.
