Hello,
I set up this theme and I am having the following issues.
Each time I change anything in the WP Avatar Options page, the pictures I uploaded for the slidershow do not show anymore. I have re-upload them all again. I am using the Jcycle slider.
My second issue is that the facebook and twitter icons on the top of the page and picture image for the contact address on the footer ONLY show properly on the homepage, on all other pages they do not show properly.
Do you have a support forum for this theme and how do I join.
Please assist swiftly.

I will need access info for your dashboard to diagnose the behaviour with the slideshow images. You can send me the private info via the contact page on my profile.
For the social media icons, please go to the particular text widget at the back end and change the path of the icons with the absolute one. That will fix the issue.

Hi, If you mean, the space after the horizontal strips? You can decrease the space by pulling up a row by specifying a “Top Overlap” value.
You can find this field for each of the rows that you have configured on your website.

No, I meant the space after a [divider] short tag. It creates too much whitespace after it in places. How do I adjust that? Why does it vary?

I’m trying to find a plugin for a multilingual site. I have a translation agency and I need my site in English, French and Spanish. So far, my web guy tried with qTranslate but apparently it doesn’t work.
1) Could you give me two or three options of plugins that do work? 2) Also, does WPML work with Avatar?

We succeeded at installing Polylang and it works fine, so you can disregard the previous question. However, there is one problem we’re having: we can’t translate the home page. We tested the rest of the pages and it works, but we can’t find where to translate the Home page. Can you please explain or point me to some document that can be useful for this?

Hello Maria, The home page is mostly composed of widgets and not content from a page. The plugin that you use should provide for the translation alternative text for the widgets as well.

Hi again Gagan. Thank you for your answer. We actually managed to translate the widgets. What we need help with is how to do it with the sliders in the front page. Is there a place where we can choose the language (English, French and Spanish) and then select the sliders? I found a place where I can create more sliders (in the slideshow settings) but I don’t see where I can assign the slideshow for the two tranlated pages of the Front page.

I’ve a problem with this theme. The panel administration is very very slow.
If I active anothe theme in the same wordpress the panel administration works properly, but not with the wpavatar theme.

Hi Inaki,
There is no such problem with the theme. Never did anyone complain about this either. Although the control panel of the theme is very intensive, it does not slow you down that much. I assume that you are not using a slow pc. moreover, you are using some good browser as well. Please make sure that your browser does not have too many addons or plugins active, that certainly slow down the things. Also please test it out on some other browser or PC.

I have tested it with different computers and browsers. It doesn’t work properly with any combination. I’ve only installed WP 3.5.1 and WP-Avatar 1.1.0. The control panel works very very slow with WP-Avatar theme. It only works properly when I activate another template. I can provide you the access codes for you to check it for yourself.

Hi Maria, Just as you open the “Slideshow settings” panel. You will see a section called “Assign slideshows to pages” that is where you will see all the pages of your WordPress installation listed, and a dropdown list of all the slideshows against each of them. You can select a particular slideshow for a particular page over there.

Hi again. I am in the slideshow settings and i see everything you mention except for the Frontpage in the two translated languages. And that is the only place where I need a slideshow.
I created my site in English so my Frontpage (when online) is called HOME (in English), ACCUEIL (in French) and INICIO (in Spanish). That’s the place where I need my slideshow in these three particular languages.
But in the slideshow settings there is ONLY “Frontpage” to choose from and NOT the translated Frontpage (ACCUEIL and INICIO). All the other pages like (Services in English, Services in French and Servicios in Spanish are there. But not the three different Frontpages.
I really need to fix this ASAP since this is the only part we have left to finish the site…

Hi re set the settings when i was in the blog settings section. BIG mistake as it reset everything. I then contacted Bluehost (my hosting company).
They said there is a problem with the theme and it is telling them there are style sheets missing.
is there anyway you can help me delete and re install the wp avatar them before we try any changes with the blog.
Bluehost are saying that with data missing it is not safe to continue using the them.
It would be great to talk this through with you if possible. Im so busy and this is leaving me very frustrated.
Really want to get it fixed.

Hi Iñaki, I replied to your email. I tested your website, and it worked absolutely well, even on my mobile phone. There is nothing wrong with the interface. It may be an issue specific to the hardware you are using.
