Hey there, I just bought this theme a couple of days ago and I genuinely can’t imagine ever buying anything else. The options and sheer depth of this theme is just unreal, so THANK YOU .
My only question is this: on the slideshow, I want to have a link to a YouTube video, but I also don’t want my users to leave my page. Is there anyway to use the lightbox on a link from the slideshow? Or, alternatively, I could embed the video somewhere a little further down the page with an anchor, but I’m not sure about how well-supported anchors to widgets are.

If you are using JCycle slideshow, you can embed the youtube video on the slide. You do so by using the “[youtube] short code in the text area of the slide. Please refer to the shortcode reference in the documentation for an example of this shortcode.

Thanks for purchasing the theme. In the downloaded zip file, you will find a text file called demo content readme. It contains the directions for installing the demo content. It basically requires you to sign up at the support.wpavatar.com using your purchase code and download the demo site’s content from the downloads section. Each of the demo content zip files contain a text file providing step by step to install the demo content.

Hi there, I have replaced the submit button for my email sign up with an image, however, it is still pulling from the CSS somehow and displaying the white box that would normally display. Therefore, my submit button image sits on top of a white box. Can you tell me where to edit the submit button CSS to get rid of this white background. You can override the default style by enabling the style.css in the general options of WPAvatar settings, once enable, u can edit the style.css and add a custom style for your input. You can assign a specific class or id to the input containing the submit button.

Also, is there a way for the blog to pick up only certain post categories instead of all of the categories?
You can create a category blog link to display a blog of a certain category. For example http://www.wpavatar.com/?cat=12, such kind of link will display a blog for category id 12 only,
btw, you can also turn off the portfolio related items from the blog by changing the configuration in the “blog options”

Hello Takeshi,
The theme does not have any native support for displaying Japanese characters. Unless any of the available google web fonts have support for Japanese character, nothing much can be done unless some code hack is implemented.

It maybe because the slide delay time is small, so before the video is loaded for plaback, it already moves to the next slide.

When you install the theme, the slideshow will be setup with the default settings and slides, which you can play with from the back end admin interface. It is very easy to customize.

Hi, I work for Echo Graphics and we bought this theme last week. Im having problems with the third row. (Demosite 3, About Us, Services, Client Speak) When I widen the first column, the second and third column fall down below in a stacked fashion, so I end up with 3 rows of one column each spanning the page.

The city scape image is one of the presets, there are more presets available. But somehow, if you really want a custom silhouette, then you will need to replace one of the available silhouette set of PNGs.
In case you just want one simple image and do not bother about it to be available in different set of transparencies, the simplest way to do it is replace the current image at its location, the one being loaded by the css by giving it the same name as of the original image.

(I mean to disable those yellow and black colours of default menu, make them transparent and use my own background). And do your theme really support Russian font subset for google from the box? You can make the background of menu fully transparent and then assign a background image to the header section. All these options are available in the dashboard.
Yes, the theme includes google webfonts for Russian/cyrillic script.

I recently purchased avatar – btw is is awesome. The only problem I am having is that when using the wp-avatar latest posts widget on the home page the thumbs aren’t being picked up (they are just grey concentric circles) I have added the feature images to the posts so not sure what is going on. I just need to know how to customize one of the taper graphics found in the /wp-avatar/images/templates/ folder. If i want to change the city taper, do I need to edit everyone of the city image files in this folder?

Hello Ryan,
You will only need to change the one with the opacity level that you set for the background color of the row. So, if you leave the opacity of a row to be 100, then u need to just edit the files city100.png and city_i100.png
