Hi Nick, before I purchase your theme I asked you does it really have support for Russian/cyrillic Google font subset. Here is your answer :
I installed your theme, and choose Lobster font for nav.menu admin screenshot here: http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/6897/adminavatar.jpg. Please extract the zip file you download from themeforest. Inside, you will find another zip file called “wp-avatar.zip”. Please use that file for the installation.

I’m still having trouble with the slideshow moving on when someone has clicked on my YouTube embed. Is there something I can do to make it stay up after someone has clicked on a slide? Or freeze when they have their mouse on the slide?

Hi,
This is a file permissions issue. The server needs to have access to the wp-avatar/images folder in order to write new images created from stencil files. Please make sure that the apache user is part of the group that has write access to this folder.

Hi,
The diagonal graphics are one of the many presets available in the theme. It is part of the system. You will just have to choose the color and the diagonal graphics will be auto generated.

The homepage design is completely conceived using the wp-avatar’s settings panel itself. I have provided the layered psd for the tapered stencils. There is no such psd as the complete home page design as the home page layout is directly created from the theme’s parameters. If you want, I can provide you the full page length screenshots of the demo site in question, if you want to reference the dimensions of the elements. Yes, that is very much possible to do. In the settings, give a negative value to bottom margin for the navigation to bring it out of the header and over the slideshow.
For the logo, just simply increase the value for its position from the top.
You can also set the height of the header in the “header settings” to zero, to completely pull up the whole of the slideshow to the top of the page.

Hello, I bought your theme and I’m working on setting up the homepage. I’ve added widgets to the Default home row, and set the background color in the settings, however it doesn’t seem to be expanding to encompass the content of the widgets. What am I doing wrong?

You will need to drag and re-size the widths of the columns of the default home row. Please refer to the solution at the following link.

Hi Nick. Another question… where is the option to change fonts for the menu? I want to use the same font that is shown in the demos, but it appears that Times New Roman is being used instead.
Please ignore this, I suspect there was some sort of bug, and when I increased the header height the menu font changed to the nice narrow font. Weird!

The latest posts widget was designed to display the content image as a thumbnail and we did not keep into the consideration the native thumbnail support. That was a mistake. So, we just fixed it. I just uploaded the updated script to the theme forest. It may take a few hours before it is approved by the reviewing staff and is available for the download. The php file in question is wp-avatar/plugins/wpa_latestposts/wpa_latestposts.php.
If you want the update sooner, mail me. I will send you this particular file via email.

I am new to WordPress, and this will be my first use of a theme. With the Avatar template, does the slider use Flash (which I would rather avoid)? Also, can I use a single static image in that part of the template? thanks

Among the available slider options, the nivoslider, jcycle and easy slider, do not use flash.
You can also use a static image in place of the slider by setting the slideshow type to “custom html”

Hi. A client of mine purchased this theme in the days before it was taken down and didn’t keep a record of their purchase code. Now they are wanting me to use it for them. So is this new version markedly different from the original and is there any way that they are able to get updates, etc.? Thanks.

Yes, the new version is indeed a lot different and improved than the previous.
Your client can still access the purchase code in their downloaded item’s list. The item was taken out from the list of only those customers who demanded and got refund while the time this theme was down.
If that is not the case with your client, then an email to envato support may be helpful in resolving this matter.
Themeforest is the only one source where the theme can be downloaded and hence have access to its recent and most updated files.
