Ahh thanks – prompt answer But I would rather, that the startpage works like the archive-page… The text (maybe the first 50words with a [read more]-Button) should appear without a content in the Excerpt field. How can I realize that? Actually I have a post-teaser-plugin. I works fine in archives etc. but not at the startpage =(

Hi, I will change the time/duration of the navi dropdowns until it will complete appear. I think it is too slow for people who do not know that there are a dropdown. But in which file can I edit this? Cheers! =)

Make sure you’re uploading the worldtraveler folder and not the entire main zip you downloaded from ThemeForest that includes, PSD ’s, docs, etc…

OK I have done that at it is now installed. However, I find your instructions for installation and making changes very brief and difficult to follow. It is not written with an inexperienced wordpress user in mind. For instance I have opened up the scheme.psd file to change the colours but what do I do now. There is a box with a similar range of colours. What do I do with it? There doesn’t seem to be a selection of blue’s that I want to try.

I have opened the layout.psd but now how do I change the header picture?

None of this is at all easy to follow or use. I am close to abandoning using this theme. Please advise how you can help, or explain, or even do it for me!

You’ll need to save out/overwrite the header image slice then upload that to your server.

Thank you for this theme. We’ve made some customizations and have begun to post content. Unfortunately we updated to the latest version of Wordpress before we installed the theme. The latest version of Wordpress has eliminated the “excerpt” box. Our Home page features the images and header of our blog posts, but no text.

Is there a plugin that you are aware of, or CSS we could alter, so that our home page shows text summary along with the featured image? You’ll see what I mean if you visit our blog at www.eatpackgo.com

If you go into Post > Edit Post > Screen Options (upper left) > Turn on The Excerpt field > and you should be good to go.

For some reason the menu’s are not showing up and the menu items appear as text on the top left of the screen without the menu boxes. I did an inspect element on the menu items and it shows that the style.css is being used rather than the superfish.css which is what it should be.

Why is this happening?

Two things I’d like some help with. I’d like to change the background color of the main text body block on posts as well as widening it so that the text/images begin closer to the left hand side of the screen.

You can remove some of the left side padding on line 303 in style.css
The background color is coming from the graphic on line 287 in style.css

Thanks for the help. Sorry to sound like a complete rookie, but had a few more queries.

When somebody clicks on one of my categories it brings up a list of all posts. The number of comments and impressions overlaps into the main body of the text though. Any way I can remove that? Or at least make it smaller?

I’m struggling to find the line in question to remove the padding too. I only need it removed on posts.

I’ve also noticed that image alignment doesn’t seem to work. I assume that was intentional? Any way to work around it?

Nice theme! But one thing is really annoying…

werner500 wrote above that the articles on the home page are only shown when the excerpt field is filled in. If not there is no text to see. The WordPress default behaviour is another! When the excerpt field isn’t filled in, an automattic excerpt is generated. So, why isn’t this working in your theme here? My customer do not want to fill in the excerpt field manually everytime! He wants to get an automattic excerpt, such as he knows it from so many other WordPress blogs.

So, how can we realize this?

Hi, Haven’t been here in awhile. so I guess thats a good sign:-)

However, I am having an issue with the pages turning white when they are refreshed. I did recently upgrade to wordpress 3.3.1; has there been any issues reported with this upgrade? I am also noticing certain images not showing up and allthe paths seem to be correct.
