Hi,

It is normal because the theme has been set default layout. You can find all items on the right hand panel. Now, you just need to drag widget to the sidebars then it will work.

No, this theme uses Wordpress default Tags widget so it will display all of the tags.

Hello!

We love this theme and it looks like support is good.

We are kind of new to wp and so we need to ask a very basic question.

Is it possible to have a log in for readers/members that allows them to view the expanded version of the front page?

We didnt see any log in at all in the preview.

Hi,

Just bought your theme and it’s beautiful and sleek—really nice work. I am having some trouble with the widgets. I already made sure to check my settings under Writings, but the Slider, Latest News and Main Content is not showing up on my Home page even after I grab/drop widgets.

Any advice would be great! Thanks!

Wow! I bought this theme as it seemed to offer a solid core for a site I am in the process of porting to Wordpress.

After having a couple of queries on set up all I can say is that the theme is doing exactly what I want it to and the support has been very, very good.

Yes, you can add video link to the slider in the Breaking News and latest news areas. However, we need to add some code to support this function, but I think it need less than a hour to complete.

Hi this is a great template however, the categories are not using the excerpts, but are showing the entire articled content. Any ideas?

Hi,

To display the excerpt in categories page, you need to insert Wordpress “more tag (<!~~-more~~-> ) to the post to cut the content. Refer to this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

Thanks for getting back to me! I actually looked through your code and replaced the_content with the_excerpt in the loop-1-column.php and loop-2-column.php under the ‘views’ folder and that specified the usage of the auto-excerpt functionality in Wordpress. That way any image placed in the content doesn’t show up on the taxonomy page template as well as the featured image. It now matches the your demo with less admin work. Thanks again for such a GREAT template design.

Yes, you can do that way. However, you see, the excerpt is used to display in home page with many text while the excerpt in categories page with less text than home page. That is why we don’t use the_excerpt () in categories page.

Good to know. Thanks for the info. On another note the ‘previous page’ and ‘next page’ links aren’t showing up on the posts. I notice you have it in your post loop, but it’s not showing on the post page. It’s also not showing on your demo. Any ideas?

I bought this theme and I am translating it to Dutch. This should be very easy using Poedit and editing the current US version to NL. But it seems not everything can be translated in the template’s language file and now I need to dive into the code to change it manually. Perhaps you can check the files in the Views folder and change more of the text into the language file when you update the theme.

Hello, I am reviewing this template for a possible purchase and I noticed that the layout breaks on IE8 ?

are you aware of that? latest new gets positioned differently (right below breaking news and not on its side) but more importantly cell margins are missed….

It happen when you view the home page in IE with screen 1024px only. However, we think it is not critical issue, the page is still displayed properly but it look as same as in smaller screen size of other browser. If it is necessary, we will add update css to fix it.

Sorry, I don’t understand clearly your question. But I think, if you don’t upload and set feature image, it will not show. To remove the message under the banner, the simple way, open style.css file, go to line 884, put css code: display:none.

Hi Kopasoft – do the popular posts work on Categories or Tags? I am not using tags at present and am not seeing the related posts appearing.
