Hi it’s a pleasure to work with your theme !

Simple question : I would like to have contents above my portfolio which was easy to import inside the php. Then I fixed the fact that the portfolio jumps to top when I click the thumbs (I found the issue inside this js: jquery.header.custom.js but maybe it’s a wrong way). but I can’t fix the fact that when I click on my category’s items it also jumps me to the top. What is the line I’ve got to change ?

Thank you very much !

Regarding your issue, I am very glad you solved it on your own. For any further support requests, please open a ticket on the official support forum instead, found at http://onioneye.ticksy.com/, because this section is only used for pre-purchase questions.

By the way, you are going to need your purchase code for the forum. I’ll post the screenshot that depicts this process, for your convenience:

Hi there, I am trying to add the Portfolio section to the home page. I went on to http://onioneye.ticksy.com/ to log a ticket, but I need to enter a purchase code. Where do I get the purchase code from? The screenshots provided does not help me. I purchased this theme several months back now.

Please help?

onioneye

Hi there,

thank you for your purchase! Appreciate it.

I see you are relatively new to the marketplace. The instructions depicted in the screenshot are the same for everyone, but maybe you would prefer textual guidance more. Here it is:

Please log into your ThemeForest account, which you used to purchase the theme, and then navigate to your downloads page, as depicted in the screenshot. Once you do that, find the Yin & Yang’s download button in there (can’t miss it; it’s big and green), and then click on it. After that, the drop-down options will appear. Choose “License certificate & purchase code” and wait for your browser to download the file. Once it is downloaded, just click on it, and you will see the code.

Hope this helps! By the way, if you still have troubles with obtaining the purchase code for some reason, then please get in touch with me over the contact form on my profile page (http://themeforest.net/user/onioneye), and I will try my best to help you out as quick as possible.

Sincerely,

OnionEye

Love the theme! I kept all your initial design cues too. mattprokaziuk.com BUT, have you considered adding a Pinterest media link? I know a few people have suggested it. And I would love that option. Thanks! Keep it up!!!

Hi there,

glad you love the theme! Thank you for your purchase, and for sharing your portfolio here!

As far as your issue goes, I am unfortunately not planning to add new icons in there for the time being, but you can always do it yourself, or alternatively hire a freelancer, who should be able to complete this task quickly and on the cheap.

P.S. The PSD for the social icons is found in the main download, so you can use it to easily match the looks of the default icons, when importing new ones.

Hope this helps!

Hello, I love your design – that’s the first thing:) and the second one is my question: I tried to remove the icon before the word PORTFOLIO, I found it in some comments that I should remove it from style.css, from section number 15 – I did, the icon disappeared but now there’s unnecessary empty space before that PORTFOLIO word. Can you tell me where can I move it to the right?

Thank you for such a nice design.

Ok, actually I managed to find your answer for it in previous comments:) I added this: #portfolio-header h2 { background: none; padding-left: 0; } .blocked-project-overlay:after { background: none; } in the css file. Thank you anyway:)

Hi there, I love ALL your themes, Equilibrium is my favourite but I’d like a responsive theme, so I’m hoping Yin and Yang will do the job for me!

I’ve had a look through previous comments but can’t see the answer to this, is it possible to change the colours of the background as well as the hover colour? And can different pages have different colour backgrounds?

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you love my work! Thank you for taking an interest in it! :)

if you are looking for a true responsive theme, then you should look at Peak and Tao, or wait for my latest theme to be published, which should happen either this week, or the next one.

As far as your questions about Yin & Yang are concerned, it is possible to change the background out of the box, but hover colors would take a bit of customization work, and the same goes for your idea about having differently colored backgrounds on different pages.

Hope this helps!

Sincerely,

I like Peak, but would still want to customise the colours to match my branding, and also I’d need to stop the animation on the logo, are those things possible? Also, I don’t need several of the pages eg clients, I’m guessing it’s possible to remove those?

I like the look of Tao very much, but again I’d want to customise colours, and also I’m not so keen on the hidden menu, is that changeable?

I’m new to Wordpress, so how complicated is changing stuff beyond what comes with the package?

Hi there,

I see you already bought the theme, so please feel free to ask your questions via the forum, where you already have a few opened tickets.

Good Afternoon, I am interested in your template, but one thing bothers me .. not updated for over a year? No small bug to fix? Or any improvements based on different problems / suggestions encountered by users for over a year?

onioneye

Hi there,

thank you for taking an interest in the Yin & Yang theme!

As far as your concerns go, I would like to emphasize that there is a good reason why Yin & Yang is one of the most popular themes on ThemeForest of all time. The theme was so well-coded and ironed out over time, with multiple updates, that I’ve come to a point where no updates were necessary over a larger span of time (at least not the big ones).

I also want to emphasize that I do understand your concerns, and that I find them perfectly valid. Not only that though, but also that they came at a perfect moment, since the time to update the theme has come around again. I will be restructuring some admin features for the 4.0+ WordPress releases, such as the portfolio custom post type, the media uploader, theme options etc. I will also be focusing on making the theme even more user friendly, and more portable, meaning that switching the themes would be a less painful process, as it is now with most of the themes. All in all, there is a lot of things in store for Yin & Yang, so I hope this addresses your concerns.

By the way, here is what I said recently to one of my customers, on the topic of theme updates:

...the theme is perfectly compatible with all the latest WordPress versions. On top of that, the design is timeless, and the code one of the most stable ones you’ll found out there. That said, there will come a time soon, where I will restructure the admin for the yet-to-come WordPress versions (4.0+), so trust me – I got things under control, and I will never let the theme be unusable on any of the upcoming WordPress iterations.

To finish off, I would just like to confirm that the projected theme update should be ready for the general public by the end of May.

Hope you find this answer useful.

I would like to echo Kiba91’s comment above. Multiple versions of WordPress have been released since the last update… surely something needs to be updated.

Hi there,

thank you for taking an interest in the Yin & Yang theme!

Since you are interested in the same thing, as our fellow user “Kiba91,” I will just copy and paste the response I gave to him above, if you don’t mind:
