hi im willing to buy this theme but can i change the font and color of the theme?

onioneye

Hi there,

thank you for considering the purchase of the Yin & Yang theme!

As far as your questions goes, you can certainly change the colors in the theme by modifying the CSS code, which shouldn’t be a tough task for anyone with even a basic knowledge of CSS. In fact, you can change anything you see in the theme — it all really depends on your imagination and your skills.

Regarding the fonts, you can easily swap them, either completely manually, by changing them in the main stylesheet (style.css file), or by using a plugin, like WP Google Fonts, which lets you embed hundreds of different fonts from the google webfonts repository. It does almost everything for you, but some further, very minor adjustments to the CSS of the theme might be needed to get everything like you want it to be.

Having said all that, have lots of fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Sincerely,

Hi. Can I use this Yin & Yang with e-commerce like WooCommerce or WP e-commerce. If I install the WooCommerce plugin works well in Yin & Yang? Can I add a plugin to get a shopping car?

onioneye

Hi there,

thanks for taking an interest in the theme!

To be completely honest, I had a few clients, who integrated some e-commerce plugins in the theme to make a shop, but in all honestly, I don’t know if everything worked straight out of the box for them, or if they had to customize some things. However, I guess that with any plugin of this complexity, it might be required to modify some code, in order to make the plugin blend in with the theme, not only by design, but by functionality as well.

Having said that, Yin & Yang is mainly a portfolio theme, so I would always recommend buying an e-commerce theme instead, for e-stores, but WordPress is full of excellent plugins that can transform a theme into anything you want, so you might be able to make this work. Just have in mind that I can not guarantee the mentioned plugin will work out of the box though.

I wish you the best of luck whatever you decide to do! :)

Great looking theme!

I have a question though before deciding on purchase. If you look at the sample theme here: http://onioneyethemes.com/yin-and-yang/portfolio/quality-estate/ there are these buttons for selecting different categories like LOGO, VIDEO, ILLUSTRATION etc. Is it possible to somehow include these buttons on a separate page that I’ll make, sort of entry page, and from that page by clicking on the LOGO button the Portfolio page with all the logos will open? I’ve noticed that these buttons do not have a regular link so how do I link them to the LOGO display page for example? Thanks! MR
onioneye

Hi there,

glad you find the theme great looking! Thanks for taking it into consideration! :)

As far as your concern goes, having something like that available is certainly possible, but it would unfortunately require some development work first, given that the mentioned feature is not available out of the box.

Having said that, you may consider seeking the help of a freelancer for the task, if you still end up buying the theme.

I wish you the best of luck whatever you decide to do!

Hi,

Just wanted to ad to my question above: One such entry page I would place within the theme and another one on an external URL. Would that be possible in both cases to have these buttons opening a selected Portfolio pages? MR

Answer provided above. Good luck!

Hi there,

I am interesting in buy this theme, but there is a couple of concerns I have before purchasing.

I want to be able to do these following:

1. delete the “date” from the portfolio 2. Hide or delete the “Clients” list below the portfolio

Thanks!

Krista

onioneye

Hi Krista,

thanks for taking my work into consideration!

Regarding your questions:

1) No worries about the date. The quick solution is provided here: http://onioneye.ticksy.com/ticket/43695

2) If you don’t upload the “clients” picture in the theme options, then the mentioned section won’t appear on your site, so you’re pretty much good to go regarding this one.

Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Hey, I love the look of your themes. Just one question before I purchase – is it easy to insert a logo that is larger than the one in your demo? So is that space easily adjusted to suit the ideal logo size.

Cheers

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you love the look of my work! Thanks for taking Yin & Yang into consideration!

As far as your question goes, it is definitely easy to insert a larger logo; the header section will expand to accommodate for the larger size.

Enjoy working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Hi, I’d like to know if there’s a way to modify the portfolio just a little bit so that, for example, the preview thumbnail is shown in black and white and changes to color when hovered?

Thanks :)

Hi, I’m using your theme in a different way and have a different type of question. I’m displaying products from different categories using your Portfolio feature however I want all products from within a category lead to the same page. I can do this with redirections. However, I noticed that each portfolio detail page does not actually show a URL. So how can I do this?

In other words: All Pictures of “Metallic Embroidery Thread” lead to one page. All Pictures of “Rayon” thread lead to one page about Rayon thread. Etc etc Your timely response would be much appreciated! Best, Jawad.

its been more than 3 day since i have submitted support ticket as per your direction but still i haven’t received any sort of help.. kindly do the needful. wait for you timely response

onioneye

Hi there,

it’s summertime here, and I am currently on my vacation, so support is running a little slow. That especially refers to the weekend, and given that you posted your ticket on Friday afternoon/evening, most probably just after I called it a day, the chances of me seeing your post and providing a reply to it were even lower. Having said all that, you can expect an answer in the following hour.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Great template, I bought it, and I’m absolutely happy with it. But I have one problem, when I post the Link of my Webpage on Facebook, there’s no thumb-image? how can I change that?

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you are happy with the theme! Thank you for your purchase! :)

As far as your issue goes, you need to add FaceBook’s open graph tags to make your website display a thumbnail image, when sharing your site via FaceBook. There are plenty of plugins that do that for you, so I suggest you try them out, to see which one works well for you. Here is list of open graph plugins, for your convenience: http://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/facebook-open-graph.

By the way, all support is now strictly handled via a dedicated support forum, available at http://onioneye.ticksy.com/, so please head out there to submit a ticket, in case you have any further questions, and I will do my utmost to reply in a timely fashion, and help you out the best way I can. Also, before asking for help, please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the terms and conditions of the forum.

Oh, and please consider rating the theme on your downloads page. It only takes a few seconds to do and would make me very happy. :)

Thank you.

Hi,

I am very keen to buy this theme, just wondering, is it possible to have a menu down the left hand side rather than across this top? Would this be difficult to achieve? And would the support offered by the creator be able to offer assistance with this should I purchase?

Very keen!

S&B.

onioneye

Hi there,

thank you for taking the theme into consideration!

As far as your first question goes, do you mean you want to have your navigation in a sidebar, on the left hand side of the screen; something like this: http://www.imaginista.ca/?

Regarding the assistance, I unfortunately do not offer any support for customizations beyond one or two lines of code, so it’s likely that you will have to hire a freelancer, if you absolutely need this feature in your theme.

To read the full terms & conditions, related to the support I provide, please check out the following page: http://onioneye.ticksy.com/

Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Hi! I LOVE the theme, and I’m pretty sure I want to buy it. I was wondering how many photos there can be in each project? Could there be as many as 10 photos per project? Thanks, Jess

onioneye

Hi Jess,

glad you love the theme! Thank you for taking it into consideration!

As far as your questions goes, you are correct; each portfolio post can hold up to 10 photos in the slider, but that can be expanded even further, if needed.

Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it!

Hello there!

I am using your theme for my portfolio at the moment.

I was wondering if it is possible to get the description of the portfolio item (the one I wrote in the content editor) at the top of the project, before the images? At the moment it displays at the bottom.

Thanks

Hi! I really love this theme, it looks great! But before purchasing it I want to make sure I can use it in the way I want to.

I want to use it as a kind of photo theme with lots of pictures on the home page instead of this portfolio thing, because this home page looks really good and you can click on every picture to show a bit more information (about the camera…), that’s great.

But I have to know if I can show lots of pictures on this home page, maybe on different sites? Do you think this could work?

Thank you very much! Best regards Mark

onioneye

Hi Mark,

glad you love the theme! Thanks for taking it into consideration!

As far as your questions go, I am not quite sure how you envisioned your homepage to work, so I would appreciate it if you could describe it a bit more. What exactly do you mean by having lots of pictures “on different sites?”

Sincerely,

OnionEye

Default-user

Hey!

Thank you for your fast answer! :) So, I want to show lots of pictures/thumbnails (you know what I mean with ‘pictures’, in the live preview that’s ‘quality estate’, ‘business cards’, ‘photografix’ and so on) on the home page.

So my question is: how many pictures can the home page show? Is there a possibility, that after e.g. 100 pictures you can skip to a second site with again 100 pictures? So that there is not one huge site… but that’s not absolutely necessary, it’s more important to know for me, if I can put nearly endless pictures on the home page?

Thank you very much! :) Mark

onioneye

Hi Mark,

you are welcome! Regarding your question, there is unfortunately no pagination built into the theme, so a second page won’t show after a certain number of posts. However, there is nothing stopping you from putting any number of posts on the homepage, so if you are fine with that, like you say, then I see no problem, although I would always recommend having a pagination for large number of items. You can always have it built by a freelancer though, if you decide you need it, sometime down the road.

Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Hello,

how can i disable quickly the ajax for the portfolio area on the main page? I mean to get rid of that animation. The matter is that I’m using the qtranslate plugin and to avoid any problems I’d like to disable the ajax, since when I use the direct links to the portfolio items everything works perfect.

Please, advice.

Hello

I would like to buy your theme and I have a couple of questions. 1. Love the portfolio look but I would prefer it as a page and part of my menu, not on the homepage. Hence, this portfolio is it available as a template when you create a new page (and then to assign it to the menu)? 2. If not how can I add the portfolio (exactly how looks right now with the animation and categories and all) to my menu and change the homepage in a custom page (this I know how to do it :))

Thank you Silentmojo

onioneye

Hi Silentmojo,

thanks for taking the Yin & Yang theme into consideration!

You will be glad to hear that the portfolio is available as a page template, which can be assigned to any of your pages, meaning that what you are trying to achieve is available out of the box.

Enjoy working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Hi there!

I’m interested in buying this theme for my wordpress blog. But before that, will you give instructions as to how to install it to the wordpress..? Sorry, I’m not really a tech savvy and not sure how to apply the theme to wordpress.

Your assistance will be appreciated!

Thank you!

onioneye

Hi there,

thank you for taking the Yin & Yang theme into consideration!

As far as your question goes, you have nothing to worry about. The theme comes with the documentation file, that contains all the instructions you need to get your theme up and running on your installation of WordPress, so you shouldn’t have any major problems with that.

Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Hey,

My category buttons are no longer working on my homepage. It used to cause the thumbnails to move in a nice animated fashion.

Tried to sign up to support to post this problem but couldn’t find my Purchase Code.

onioneye

Hi there,

no worries. The solution to your issue is found on the following forum’s page: http://onioneye.ticksy.com/ticket/30983.

Regarding the purchase code, it can be found inside the License Certificate. Simply head on over to your Downloads page on ThemeForest, click the item’s download button, and you’ll be able to grab it. For further instructions on how to obtain the purchase code, please have a look at the screenshot below.
