I have a question about retina images.
Everything looks awesome until – in the portfolio – you view the larger image. It’s not displaying a retina image. When you right click to save it’s says the image is:
Is there something I’m missing? Should it be a jpg?
Thanks in advance.

I already did. Here, https://onioneye.ticksy.com/ticket/591292
One of my new clients has an old website with this theme installed in WP, but it’s too old (I haven’t seen the code yet, but I think it’s from 2011) and it’s not responsive.
So he needs to redesign it’s look&feel with responsive design or to design an entire site from the beginning. So I have to evaluate which solution is better and less expensive.
My question is: if I purchase this new version and customize the look&feel, can I migrate the contents from that old version to this new one? or I have to enter the whole content (posts, images, sections) manually?
(By the way, I’m a web developer but with few experience in WP)
Thanks in advance for your advice.
that sounds like one of the first versions of Yin & Yang, if not the first one. The theme has surely changed since then because it has been almost five years now since its inception. However, you shouldn’t need to re-enter the whole content again. The content should be intact the way it is when updating to the latest version, but you will have to re-select (not re-upload though) the images selected in the portfolio posts, re-select the page templates, and re-enter the options from the old options panel to the new standard WordPress customizer panel. This shouldn’t take you a long time at all, if the portfolio is not seriously big.
Ok OnionEye. Fortunately the portfolio isn’t too big.
The last question: do I have to delete the old theme and add the new one? or is there another way to update it? Take into consideration that the old theme is definitively old (not responsive). Besides, some things of the look&feel is customized just as logo, background color, fonts. Is there any link or doc to show me this?
Thank you again for your support.
to answer your latest questions:
1) Yes, you would have to remove or overwrite the old theme with the new one. You could do this via FTP or the WordPress admin panel.
2) Not sure what you mean by a link or doc? If the theme has been customized through code, then you would have to take the custom code and reapply it to the new theme. The code base in the new theme is different though, so you would probably have to change it a bit, for it to work properly.
Hello, is it possible to add a slideshow in your theme to scroll through the images within the portfolio? Cyclone Slider I tried, but it did not work … Here is my site so you can see what I mean: http://lafabriquegraphique.fr
Thank you in advance.
you can try the Meta Slider, to see if that plugin will work for you. However, I am not sure what exactly you are trying to achieve, so you might want to open a ticket at https://onioneye.ticksy.com, and my support staff will try to help you out.
By the way, you might want to know that this section is only used for pre-purchases. The support is fully handled on the given forum link.
Hi I already have in my WP version 4.4 the Ying & Yang theme version 1.1 can I update with the last one? we can loose some data?
please let me know,
thanks a lot!
that version is several years old and thus very outdated. However, none of your content will be lost (posts, images etc.), but you will have to re-select some things, such as the portfolio page, some options in the theme’s options panel, and the pointers to your individual images inside the portfolio posts, which should be a much quicker process in the latest version, given the improvements made to the theme.
If you have any other questions related to the theme, please open a ticket on the official forum for all OnionEye themes, at https://onioneye.ticksy.com, where all after-purchase support is provided.
Have a great festive season,
Can you fix the demo links of your webpage? I cant see it, it is not working. Thanks in advance
I, as well as many other authors who are using asmallorange’s VPS service, have suffered from a major malfunction on their part, causing our servers to be down for a long time. However, the issue should be fixed now, so you can proceed with checking out the demo site.
Thank you for your patience!
Have a happy festive season,
Where do I find the files for the newest version of the theme?
please go to your “downloads” page, where you initially downloaded the theme, and grab the latest version from there.
Hello, really nice theme, is it possible to put logo and menu fixed to the left side ?
glad you like the theme. Thank you for your interest in it!
As far as your question goes, Yin & Yang is not made with a fixed sidebar, so some customization work would be needed to make this happen. It can definitely be done though by a coder.
Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it!
Your theme is great and I am excited to buy and use this, but before installing this theme, I have a question.
can I make a grid layout like http://hamyarwp.com/tutorials ?
Awaiting your reply.
glad you find the theme great. Thank you for your interest in it!
The grid layout on the given website is almost identical to Yin & Yang’s one (4 columns, similar image dimensions), so yes, it’s certainly possible to have it in your website straight out of the box. However, the grid on the tutorial website has some additional information below the thumbnails, and I am not sure if you are looking to incorporate that into your website as well?
One question, why my menu and social icon (bottom) position not at left perfectly.
