Is there way to have videos, instead of photos, pop up in the gallery?
Yes, you can. Just specify the video URL on the links.
Here is an example: http://dimsemenov.com/plugins/magnific-popup/
Look at the video popup section. But only videos hosted on Youtube/vimeo etc. will work.
The video box opens, but nothing is playing. Any ideas? Is it possible to give me string of code? Perhaps I’m putting something in wrong?
Just specify type: ‘iframe’ and set the link to the video. That should work
Let me see your code if it doesn’t.
I’m almost certain I’m over thinking this. I removed the link. I just want the option to open the video, which I assumed would be replacing this image code with the video pop up code… Or is it not that simple?
a href=”demo/work/field.jpg” rel=”magnific-popup” title=”Working Forever”
Yes, just replace the href attribute to the video link.
Just give the link to the video a special class, then add the magnific popup initialization code inside youxi.setup.js.
You can use the code found on magnific popup’s website: http://dimsemenov.com/plugins/magnific-popup/
It’s working! Thanks! You did a great job on the theme by the way. I gave it 5 stars a while ago.
Thanks! Just feel free to ask me if you’ve got more questions
I sent you several mails in last few days asking for a bit of help on the search function in Youxi. I am still waiting for a response…
Just replied to your mail
I just sent you a reply. Can you please check it? Thanks anyway. Great work!
Nice job! You could make a responsive boxed html template similar to the following template?
I have been having a tiny bit of trouble with the contact form.
I did manage to get it to send a couple of times but now nothing happens,no mail sent. When it worked it sent a message but there was no ‘Message Sent’ displayed so you wouldn’t know it had gone.
Also how would I add a check box and drop down menu details to the php files?
great template, well documented and easy to customize…mostly
I never worked with gmaps before: Is it possible to activate “directions” when clicking the marker and lead the visitor to Google Maps for navigation?
Embedding a youtube video the control bar usually fades away after clicking “play”, but in your template it doesn’t. Unfortunately I can’t test it in your template preview, the PSY clip isn’t available in my country
A little workaround could be setting the aspect ratio for the video plugin…?
Thanks for purchasing!
The only feature available on the Google maps widget is only the markers, and nothing else. Maybe sometimes in the future I’ll be providing more features to the widget. For now I’d recommend using a n external plugin if you want advanced features.
The video dimensions are set using FitVids.js, maybe that might be the cause?
I don’t know why I am finding this so difficult but I cant find any documentation on how to remove the “Get CSS” compiler thing that slides in from the side of the screen. Somehow I go it removed from the index.html but its still on all other pages. Please help!
It’s easy, just remove the following lines below each page:
<!-- Themer Assets -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="themer/minicolors/jquery.minicolors.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="themer/youxi.themer.css">
Hi can you tell me how can i get 5 portfolio on one line. ( currently you have 4 in a line i need 5 ) Thanks
Unfortunately that’s not possible with the grid system inside this template.
But you can do it yourself by using five floated columns with 20% width.
Otherwise, you can create five
Hi There, How can I make it so that the accordion defaults to closed? On my FAQ page, the accordion items are all closed except for the first one which defaults as open. Thanks! Been loving this theme.
Love this Youxi Theme and would like to purchase it.
Just would like to find out if you would be updating it anytime soon.
I’ll update this theme but not anytime soon.
Ok Thank you. Will be waiting for a full update.
In the mean time i have purchased this great HTML5.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Keep up the Good work.
Thank you very much
Hello! I love this theme you created Quick question though… when I try to use the contact form, I get this error message on a blank page:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /public_html/acct/php/contact.php on line 81
Is this a PHP version issue, or something else? Sorry, I’m still a newbie. Thanks!
One thing I love is the produtct’s page, it’s great!
Could you please give me some help me with buttons colors?
All call-to-action buttons are the same color. I think it would be even better if non-featured products had its buttons in a different color, say grey.
How could I get it?
Thanks in advance!
Hello, are you there Nagemas?
Hi! How I can update the theme? the backend of wordpress says is the last version, but i have 1.0.1 of all the youxi plugin (leviate theme).
Thanks in advance
Please post your comment on the right item
To update the Leviate theme, first delete all the Youxi plugins, reinstall the theme by deleting it first. After you’ve the new version, reinstall all the Youxi plugins via the notifiaction on top of your wp-admin.
It’s gonna be a great site!
I am having a little trouble with the contact form. Everything is working properly when I test, except contact.php does not display a webpage upon successful submission. It only sends back the success message in raw source code:
Here is the contact form: http://myccsitedev.com/contact-us.php
I have done quite a bit of modifying to both the form and the template, and I am sure that I have just fouled up where contact.php is supposed to point when there is a successful submission.
Will you please have a look and let me know if you need access to the files?
From what I see, $.fn.validate and $.fn.ajaxSubmit is not present on the contact page. These scripts are required.
Have a look at the original contact page of the template, some scripts should be missing.
Thanks very much for the quick support response.
Thank you<\/h4>Your message has been sent, we'll get back to you shortly :)"}
I have added PHP header and footer files to this site. I figure this might have fouled up the references somewhere.
This works well enough if there are error messages, but if the submission is successful it just reloads the same page with a blank form.
I expected a successful submission to result in the form being replaced by the success message: Your message has been sent, we’ll get back to your shortly
In all cases the form is sending the message to my email as expected. I am just having trouble displaying the right content after submission.
I realize this is getting into custom support. Would you like me to contact you through your email or something?
I can’t even successfully submit the form in http://myccsitedev.com/contact.html
What’s the expected value for the phone field?
Have you made any modifications to the receiving PHP script?
No need for custom support
Yes, I did make modifications to the receiving PHP script, contact.php,
'mail_failed' =>'An unknown error has occured while sending your message',
'form_error' =>'<h4>The following errors were encountered</h4><ul><li>%s</li></ul>',
'form_success'=>'<h4>Thank you</h4>Your message has been sent, we\'ll get back to you shortly :)',
'required'=>'First Name is required'
'required'=>'Last Name is required'
'required'=>'Company is required'
'required'=>'Email is required',
'email'=>'Email is invalid'
'required'=>'Phone is required'
'required'=>'Comment is required'
->add_rules('email', 'required', 'email')
I can verify that contact.php is capturing everything correctly and sending the values as expected to my email.
Here is what contact.html sent to my email after my last test:
Someone has used the contact form on your website.
Here is the data we received:
First Name: Test
Last Name: Testing
Phone: 555 555 1212
Company: Test Company
Its just not reloading and showing the success message in the page as expected.
I bet it is just a broken reference somewhere.
If you want I can send the files in question or give you access to the whole site directory.
Just checked again, it seems that you’ve commented out the #contact-message div above the contact form. That’s causing you not to see the success message.
Thanks very much… problem solved. The form is working great!
Sorry to bug you again about this contact form business, but for some reason the contact form suddenly stopped sending the message to my email.
It was working just fine last time I worked on the site, sending the messages to my inbox perfectly.
Now it still works as expected on the site, but the messages are not hitting my inbox. I checked my spam folder, and I tried sending to another account. It is just not sending the email any longer for some reason.
Is this dependant on server settings? The site is hosted on GoDaddy.
Is it conceivable that GoDaddy could have changed the server settings to disable outgoing email?
What other steps can I take to figure out where the process is failing?
If after migration the form stopped functioning, make sure that when you send the form, you don’t get any 404 requests.
You can do this via the network tab on your Chrome Dev Tools.
Otherwise, it must be a server issue and you should contact them for support.
Ok, I found the issue.
I will share in case somebody else runs into the same issue with GoDaddy.
In the contact.php file there is a variable:
$transport = Swift_SmtpTransport::newInstance();
This object can take the outgoing server domain, and port as arguments.
When I was first testing on the GoDaddy server I did not add these arguments, yet it worked fine.
Then suddenly it just stopped sending the emails for no reason.
I looked at the Swiftmail documentation and realized that you could explicitly add the SMTP outgoing server domain and port as arguments, and decided to give it a try.
Sure enough… it worked.
I just changed this variable to:
$transport = Swift_SmtpTransport::newInstance(‘smtp.example.com’, 25);
Back in business.
Thank you for your feedback. Hope it will be useful for others
This theme uses bootstrap? Which version? tks
The template uses no Bootstrap currently.
But I do have plans to make a WordPress version for this template, so before doing that I’ll make sure to convert it to Bootstrap 3.
But I can’t promise when it will be done, so if you really need a template now I don’t recommend purchasing it unless you really want and can work with it. It’s usable really, just not equipped with modern technologies.
This is still a AWESOME HTML5 TEMPLATE compared to all the others I have seen. I also really prefer HTML over Wordpress. My question is will you be updating this HTML5 theme any time soon? We would really appreciate it very much if you can.
Thanks, glad you like the template eventhough it’s old
I’ll be updating the theme sometime this year because I’m planning a WP version for it.
