Thanks Jason, and thanks for purchasing. :)

translation support?

Currently not. Sounds like a great plan for an update! :)

Beautiful theme. GLWS :)

Thanks! :)

This is freaking beautiful. I must improve my coding skills so I can start coding tumblr themes. They look quite fun to do. Was it a big learning curve?

Honestly, it’s relatively easy to code for Tumblr. The concept is pretty straight forward and is comparable to WordPress. Except, WordPress is PHP while Tumblr is only a combination of HTML and tags/blocks that represent where the content needs to be put.

By making themes, diving into the API and practicing with coding for Tumblr results are getting better and better. :)

Thanks, Mike!

Lovely theme :)

Would like to see how it handles a portrait orientated image.

I just purchased this theme and loving it. Wish if the theme could also support text tag cloud somewhere. It could help me big time. any plans?

Thanks thomv. My be before the footer? Basically my idea is to have visitors to get an idea about different tags I have blogged about(at least the top 10 tags). A simple one – just like rest of your theme.

Another question, how can I reduce the space between lines? Thanks for the help!

thomv
thomv Author

The tagcloud will be there with the next update, as well as an option to change the body-text’s line-height.

For now you can add body {line-height: 36px} to the Custom CSS box in your theme’s Customization Panel. Lower 36px (which is the default value) to whatever value you want.

Hope that helps, Thom

great news, I did try body {line-height: 10px} but not seeing a difference as such. Anyway I will wait for the update. You rock man!

(adding to my last comment)basically I am looking for having all categories(tags) displayed somewhere in the page. can we have the enhancement in the theme?

Super clean, with some great design touches (like how mixed-size photosets are displayed).

For users who aren’t comfortable digging into the HTML directly, the theme exposes a crazy number of customizations, far beyond just colors:

A suggestion: Consider adding in a quick section in the documentation for swapping out Google Fonts, maybe. It’s straightforward, but I could see some users asking about font customization.

thomv
thomv Author

Thanks a lot, and great suggestion! I’ll make sure that’s included with the next update.

Is there any way to display album art with uploaded audio posts? (Non-soundcloud/spotify)

thomv
thomv Author

Even better, I’ll update the theme to feature Tumblr’s new audio layout.

If you want to get it right now, then find {block:Audio} in your theme’s code (as found in Customization Panel) and replace that whole block of code with this new code for the audio-post:
{block:Audio}
{block:AudioEmbed}{AudioEmbed-640}{/block:AudioEmbed}
{block:Caption}{Caption}{/block:Caption}
{/block:Audio}

Hope this helps, :)

Thanks! It didn’t work initially, but I did some tinkering with the code and it somehow worked. Thanks again for the great theme. It’s so clean, but it doesn’t skimp on functionality.

Minor issue: I need help with translating some words. I want to have cyrillic equivalents of signs: -tags -Showing _ posts tagged

I`m lame on CSS, what could should I paste into code to make russian words appear instead of existing?

Language support has been added with version v1.1 of this theme on June 26, 2013. After updating your theme, you should be able to simply change the language settings on www.tumblr.com/settings (login required ofcourse).

Hope this helps :)

hi there! anyone had a trouble with photoset?

thomv

Nope, I don’t think so. If you’re experiencing anything unusual with your theme, do email me via my profile. ;)

Amazing theme! I’ve applied it to my personal blog: http://blog.thomasjfrank.com/

One thing I noticed – Spotify posts don’t seem to be responsive, unlike all other post types. Any way to make the player scale down?

thomv
thomv Author

For as far as I know, it’s impossible to alter the width of a Spotify embed after the page has loaded. The two best options in my opinion are:

1. Add .spotify_audio_player {width:100%} to the Custom CSS box in your theme’s Customization Panel. This makes the player load with the correct width. Note that the height of the embed is still controlled within Tumblr and that the width will not adapt when resized.

2. Better though, is to visit https://developer.spotify.com/technologies/spotify-play-button/ and make your own. Note that the smaller the embed is, the more screen-sizes it will support and that it is not responsive.

first off i love this theme you’ve created. my only question for the moment would be if it is possible to enlarge the avatar picture on the page? like if i upload my logo it seems to be very small, but i want to customize the size a little bit – is that possible in any way?

thank you so much in advance and keep up the great work!

thomv
thomv Author

Tumblr limits the size of the avatar image to 128×128 pixels. In the theme the avatar size is a bit smaller, namely 100×100 pixels. I’ll add a super simple option to change the avatar’s size with the next update of this theme. :)

In case you want it right now: To get the optimal size, you can change the height and width in the CSS like this #author .portrait img {height: 128px; width: 128px} at or around line 417 in your Theme’s Customization Panel.

Hello, thanks for this nice theme, i applied to my blog.

Secondly, can i make the profile part, i mean the left section constant?

thomv
thomv Author

I don’t think I understand you well. Can you tell me what you mean by that?

Would you like to have the author-block to be fixed to the browser-window at all times? In that case; this theme is responsive! At screen-heights of 640 pixels and up the author-block gets fixed to the browser-window. This is to prevent the text in the sidebar to fall outside of the viewport (aka the browser window).

Tell me if this answer helped you. :)

Default-user

Hello Thom, thanks for your quick answer, but i didn’t see it unfortunately. This tumblr theme page shows what i want to say. http://museo-theme.tumblr.com/

At there, the left side is fixed and doesn’t move with the page. What i want is, my about me section which is at the left can be stable as in this theme.

I hope it is clear now

thomv
thomv Author

No problem, and yep, it’s clear now.

In short, this is how it currently works with this theme: When the height of the window is 640 pixels or more the sidebar on the left (a.k.a. the author-bio-block-thing) get’s a fixed position in the window. To show you what I mean click here for a little demo.

I can tell you that with the next update for this theme (which will arrive very soon) the author block’s position (either relative or fixed) will be smart. So the code will measure the exact height of the author block and decide whether it is a good idea to make its position fixed.

I hope the answer is helpful. :)

How do I change the Author for the posts? It keeps showing “John Doe Aspiring designer pushing pixels from sunny California”

oh ok.. found it.. lol.. being too impatient..

thomv

Haha, no problem. Check out the Customization Panel if you want to change anything in the theme. Pretty much the whole theme is customizable through there. ;)
