1. To change the secondary nav colour simply add the following line to your custom.css file:

secondary-nav ul a { color: red!important; }

2. To change the plain text logo font simply adding something like this to custom.css:

logo { font-family:”Times New Roman”, Times, serif!important; }

thanks for your query and considering our ZillaPress theme.

Anything is possible but you will have to make these changes directly in the underlying templates as this is not controlled by our theme options.

Removing the navigation(s) is fairly simply and you simply can delete the relevant “divs”.

Changing the background and footer is also not that difficult but it requires slight changes to the CSS file.

You can remove the slider in the same template as the navigation and you just have to remove the relevant “div”.

I hope this answers your queries and doesn’t put you off too much.

thanks for your query. On our demo site the logo is 250×60 but you can pretty much set any size you like.

can you check your source code to see if the Google code appears within the banner header div? If it’s there then the ads should show in theory but sometimes Google adsense ads don’t show up for various reasons:

If you don’t use the banner and only want to show Google Adsense which you pasted directly into the source code then you could consider deleting the banner image altogether so that it doesn’t show up.

Simply edit header.php and change the following code:

where th code in between the div tags is your Adsense code.

thanks for your query regarding our ZillaPress theme. It sounds like you tried to install / upload the whole file you downloaded from ThemeForest. You only really need to upload the zillapress.zip file included in the download file.

The problem was due to the same my_init() function being declared in our theme and one of the plugins you used. We will look into amending this in our ZillaPress theme to avoid any conflicts in future.

thanks for your query regarding our ZillaPress theme. Could you check that you are uploading the zillapress.zip file rather than the full download file (zillapress-wordpress-magazine-community-theme.zip) which also contains the PSDs, help files etc. Quite often this causes a problem during the install because the full file is 28 MB in size.

You simply need to upload zillapress.zip and hopefully that resolves your problem.

Hi Chris,

I hope you are well and thanks for your query. You need to tag the post as “featured” without quotes and then it should appear in the slider. Please note that you also need to set the image as a featured image as outlined here: awe.sm/5nJjz

If the slider doesn’t work at all then this might be caused by a jQuery error which you can check in your browser error console.

thank you for your query. I’ve double-checked the ThemeForest download file and style.css is included, both in the zillapress.zip file as well as the theme folder.

A possible cause might be that you tried to upload the entire zip file which includes the PSDs, help files etc. Could you try only uploading zillapress.zip instead of the whole download file to see if that resolves your problem.
