Can I change the header area white….will there be future uodates particuallly with worpress 3.5 coming out soon. Can I make the footer all8gn w8th the rest of the site

thank you for your query. You will have to do a couple of small CSS changes to change the header area white. In regards to future updates, we will ensure that ZillaPress is compatible with WordPress 3.5 and any new versions of ZillaPress will be available here on ThemeForest.
In regards to the footer, this would also require a couple of changes to the CSS of the site. If you need any help with the customization then please feel free to request a quote via our customisation service over at wpcustomize.it

thanks for raising this problem. We noticed a small issue with a jQuery script which might have caused the problem (we couldn’t replicate the exact problem you experienced). We’ve uploaded the updated version here to ThemeForest and it should become available within the next couple of ours. We will increment the version number on the ZillaPress page once it’s live.

Thanks so much for getting on this so quickly. Is there a changelog available anywhere? I don’t remember if I tweaked the theme itself, so it might just be easier for me to drop in the changes you made.

we don’t have a detailed changelog but you can use something like WinMerge to easily detect any differences between the latest version of the theme and your version. We haven’t done too many modifications recently and you should be able to see quite easily what your changes are.

Thanks for sending over your URL. I’ve had a quick look at your site and I’ve noticed that you get a number of Javascript errors.
We have made a couple of small change to our theme required for the WP 3.5 update. You can download the latest version from ThemeForest. Before updating you should take a full backup of your site’s files and database to ensure you can roll back easily.
If you have not made many modifications to your site then you can simply swap the current /zillapress/ theme folder with the latest one. Otherwise you will have to merge in your customisation.

What does Java Script Errors mean?
The Javascript errors are caused by some sort of conflict between the WP 3.5, plugins and the theme. The latest version of our theme should resolve the problem and we have received your request on wpcustomize.it. If you are happy with our proposal then we can resolve the problem for you.

Oh, I just recently upgraded the same day I asked about the slider not working. Could the slider problem also be caused by the new version of NextGen image widget. I previously had the same problem with another image widget. I had to deactivated it. There is a totally new version of Nextgen now. I thought maybe that could be causing the conflict. What do you think?

Olaf, did you find out if the upgraded version of Nextgen is causing the conflict with the slider. Also I sent a quote request. You responded with a quote. I answered the quote and ask additional info. I just received the identical response that you sent the first time.

thanks for your query. When upgrading the theme you shouldn’t loose any comments as they are all stored in the database. However, we always recommend taking a full backup of the files and database when making changes to your site.

LOL Sorry, I was multi-tasking when I left the last message. My question is, will i loose my current comments when you do the necessary changes.I am also concerned about the conflict with NextGEN widget. i would like to know the answer because I do use the NextGEN widget regularly.

Hi! Olaf. I am a bit concerned you have responded to my messages in six days. My issue with my slider began two weeks ago. So my slider hasn’t worked in two weeks. Again, I would like to know if the Nextgen widget is causing the conflict. Also, if you do the changes you suggested will I loose my comments? I’ve sent you an email with further details on the required changes. In regards to your comments, these should remain intact as they are all stored in the database and shouldn’t be affected by any changes to the theme.

the tags in your sidebar show up like this due to the jQuery error on your site which is also the reason why your slider/carousel stopped working. Once the jQuery error is fixed then the tags will show correctly again.

I’ve seen that there is an update with the twitter widget fixed. How can I update the theme without loosing the customizations I’ve done to the theme?

First you should take a full backup of your files and database to ensure that you can always roll-back.
Then I suggest you download the latest version of the theme and compare this to your current version of your theme using e.g. WinMerge which will quickly show you the differences.
You can then merge these into our latest release or add them to child theme which is the better solution as it will nicely separate all your customisations.

thanks for your query. You are using V1 of our ZillaPress theme and you could try upgrading to the latest version which you can download in your downloads section here on ThemeForest. Hopefully this will resolve the problems.

hi,
for some reason the edges on the theme doesnt fill my screen? this happens on the top, bottom, left and right of the sides. My friend is running v1 of this theme and everything is fine on his one, whats going on?
