Hello Gina ~ I am trying to use a video as the featured item for the slider and to have just the one item. I have set the number of featured items to 1 and am attempting to set the featured item as a video, but don’t see a way to do this. Can you walk me through how to have just a full size video set in the slider area of the home page?

Hi there,

You just have to create 1 slide by going to your WP dashboard > Feat. Slider > Add New. On the bottom of the text editor you’ll see a box called “Featured Slider Options”. From the option “Slide Type” select the type of your slide (Youtube, Vimeo or Dailymotion). In the “Video ID” box insert ONLY THE ID of the video.

For example:

Youtube:

If this is your video url: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z3E2f9sGbM

The id will be this: 0Z3E2f9sGbM

Vimeo:

If this is your video url: http://vimeo.com/14592941

The id will be: 14592941

Dailymotion:

If this is your video url: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xhdbt7_cloudy-with-a-chance-of-meatballs_shortfilms

Your id will be this: xhdbt7_cloudy-with-a-chance-of-meatballs_shortfilms

Hi there,

1. I think if you want to insert a video from your media gallery will require some more advanced changes in the theme files.

2. Yes, it’s possible. Just send me a message through my profile page and I’ll email you back the instructions and the image you need to replace.

If any body want autoscroll facility to the portfolio items on Home page then you can add the following codes on “jquery.contentcarousel.js” file, just after line 226.

var interval = setInterval(autoscroll,3000);
function autoscroll( ) {
    if( cache.isAnimating ) return false;
    cache.isAnimating    = true;
    aux.navigate( 1, $el, $wrapper, settings, cache );
    }

It will cause a right side scroll after each 3 seconds.

Unfortunately I never used ubermenu and I honestly don’t know how it is implemented. Try installing the menu after their instructions and than you can send me the url and maybe I can guide you how to change the css files.

My friend Rick Steinbrenner bought this theme. It’s a nice theme. Just have two problems on it now. This is his test site http://test.ricksteinbrenner.com/

First, I want the video to auto play as it does, but the slider needs to pause until it’s finished. The theme option only allows up to a 9 option – the video is longer than this. I did find this code somewhere “resumeOnVideoEnd: true,” but not sure where to put it.

Second, you’ll notice that below the carousel i’m seeing the individual components repeating. That shouldn’t happen.

What can I do for him?

Hello and sorry for the late answer. It was a big holiday in my country these days and I was out of office.

I’ve checked your website and the video auto-plays fine. Also, the slider is not changing while the video is playing.

As for the area below the carousel you must set up the front page as static. You can find in the help files how to set up a static page.

Thanks. I did do some code adjustment to make the video actually play through without sliding during the autoplay. So I guess that works fine. I’ll check the static page idea – thank you.

Hi,

Yes, it’s possible and easier than having a different text on each page.

If you go to the theme’s folder and open the file named “header.php” on line 303 you’ll find the code responsible for the title.

This:


<h2><?php wp_title(''); ?></h2>

Just below this you can insert your twitter code or custom teaser. But, if you want a different text on each page you must make some changes.

Example for custom teaser:


<? if (is_page ('YOUR PAGE TITLE HERE') {
          echo 'YOUR CUSTOM TEXT HERE';
    } elseif (is_page('ANOTHER PAGE HERE')) {
          echo 'SOME OTHER TEXT HERE';

Is there any way that I can make the portfolio page a full width?

I know this might be out of the realm of your support but I am having problems with lightbox plus functions withen this theme. Would you be able to reccomend any lightbox type plugin that would work for adding the lightbox function to individual images?

Hi there,

Please explain what do you mean by full width? You want the portfolio to display on the whole monitor?

Also, I think your lightbox plugin has a conflict with the theme because the theme already has a lightbox by default.

Here’s how to use the theme’s lightbox effect:

Just add rel=”gallery_img[gallery]” to your links. Example:


<a rel="gallery_img[gallery]" href="[url for full image here]"> [content here]  </a>

Here’s what you need to do:

Go to your WP dashboard > Appearance > Zoomba Options > Styling Options and paste this in the “Custom CSS ” box:

}

    font-size: 14px;
}

Change the font family and size to your custom one and you’re done.

Hi, I love the theme and so far everything is working well. My only problem is the favicon. I have uploaded my own favicon and for a web browser such as googlechrome it appears fine but on internet explorer the original favicon for zoomba is still visable. Could you please help me with this?

Hi there and thank you for purchasing my theme.

Make sure you don’t upload the whole archive that you’ve downloaded. First extract the content and then upload the “zoomba.zip” file inside.

As for the other questions: You can do most of the things but you need some html/css/php skills to do all that. If you build your website and want to sell it it’s ok as long as you don’t sell the theme alone.

Firstly great work ;-D . Only a few general pre-sales questions:

1. Is the homepage fully customisable? Specifically, is it widget based via an options panel or via shortcodes on a page? Also could a normal page/blog page be used as the homepage with the Slider?

2. Is the Slider controlled from within the theme options area or is there a separate dedicated tab for adding/amending slider posts?

Hi there and thank you for your interest.

1. Yes, the homepage is fully customizable. The main content area is using shortcodes and the intro area and portfolio can be both enabled or disabled via the control panel.

2. Yes, the slider is controlled via the theme options page and is using a custom post type to work. Basically, you just create a new slide like you’re creating a normal post/page.

Hi Guys

I am having issues with the sorting of the portfolio. When the Jquery clones the portfolio list, it only clones page the page you are on, so if you have say something in web design which is on page 6, when you filter it then it won’t show as it was not in the initial clone (taken from page 1).

Any workaround for this so that clicking another service shows all of the correct services? My only solution is to not page the services but my client would like 9 per page for example.

Hi there,

It is not possible to pull items from other pages because the content is generated dynamically and the jquery filter doesn’t have the possibility to pull items that are on separate pages.

The only thing you can do is to make sure that there’s at least one item from each category on every page so the filter will have what to filter on every page.

Hi there,

1. You must edit and customize the style-sheet file of one of the default colors found in the “styles” folder. Eg. blue.css

2. What kind of file? .swf, .mp4, etc?

3. Go to the theme options page > Styling Options and paste this in the “Custom CSS ” box:


.custom_text {
color: #595858;
text-shadow: 1px 1px 0 #000000;
}

These are the default settings for the color and shadow. Change them to your needs and hit “Save Changes”.

4. Make sure you enable the setting of the featured slider “Pause on Hover”.
