Hi,

I had an idea last night to create a test twitter feed and post some 140 character and some average length tweets. (average tweet on twitter is 82 chars)

The tweets contain lorem ipsum and contain no spam or advertising etc etc.

This could then be used when you want to test what a twitter feed looks like in your designs or demo pages.

I found this while searching for a way to run multiple IE’s on a single PC. Just go here in Firefox:

and on each individual thumbnail, there should be a little icon like saying to install plugin. Just do that and restart Firefox and click on the power button for whichever browser you wish to run.

Does anyone know of a really good quiz/test script you can embed into your site? I’ve seen a few online, but they look pretty basic/poor.

If not, it might be a good seller on TF?

I’m looking for the easiest and fastest way to have my design tested for cross browser compatibility. How do you usually do that? is there any standalone app out there that helps? Do you only use online apps that generate screenshots? Any suggestion will be much apreciated.

How do you guys test all the necessary IE versions for your themes on a mac (by not using a virtual machine or bootcamp).

There is Winebotler but ie8 does not work… and ietester does not work at all…

Is there any way to test ie6,7,8 on a mac or do I need a virtual machine?

Simple question… I can’t find the answer…

I am currently using a testdomain.com to set up a wordpress theme. It is not turned on to the search engines etc. and is strictly being used to set up the site and test. Eventually it will be taken down from testdomain.com and moved to anotherdomain.com that will be where it will be in use and turned on.

Is this ok for the regular license?

Short question. I meen, let’s be serious… is there no good way yet to test websites on IE on a MAC ? there must be a good, easy way.. no virtual machines and no dual booting. A app or something.

And if you’re going to suggest a web app, please be sure it’s 100% working and legit first.

When we submit the item, will reviewer check our demo site or they test our theme directly?

It’s happened enough times now with enough themes that I’m pretty satisfied it’s a pattern. Yes, I hate IE too and I’m also guilty of not knowing about IE bugs until a customer brings it up. But please, you guys have to do a much better job at testing themes in IE before approving…I’m just sayin’.

I’m okay with a site-by-site Wordpress install for clients or my own site.

My question is how do you go about setting up a test environmnet for themes? Do you have to install a new database for each theme you work on because I think my hosting only allows one install.

I know you can have themes but I’m not aware of a switcher that would work for templates – how does everyone else go about their live previews?

I want to buy a theme here at themeforest for a new company that will be founded soon. The name and the logo of the company will be finished in around 2 weeks but I would love to write some articles and edit the design earlier.

Is it possible to install the theme on a “test”- domain (because the “real” domain with the name of the company will be registered later). After that I’m going to transfer the databases the theme. The “test”-domain will be deleted then.

Do I have the rights to do it this way or do I only get the rights for a one time installation?
