Indie-Film.tv is a non-profit making organisation which has been set up for two reasons.

• To provide help & support to those involved in indie film, in any way

• Outreach programs in the community, training those who feel that they don’t have a voice to make films, which then gives them that voice

A large section of what we are doing to raise money is in the publication of books, and this is being done through Moonworks Publishing.

Moonworks Publishing specialises in both publishing and providing tools for those who decide to self-publish or have a publisher that does not work with them on their books and marketing.

We are a new publishing company that has a single aim, and that is to make it easier for writers to earn more royalties.

The more books that are sold, the better it is for us, as the publisher, so we do more than the majority of publishers.

When we publish your book, We don’t just say “There you go, now go and tell people about it.”  We believe that it is the job of the publisher to help the author to tell people about it.

We also have some of the best author royalty rates currently available, and we offer these because we believe that writers deserve more than just the crumbs from the publisher’s table.

So what do we offer?

There are no upfront fees to be paid by the author, this is not vanity publishing.  If we believe in a book, which we will do if we publish, then we believe that we will reap the rewards from working with you on getting more copies sold.

Copyright

The copyright remains with you, in your name, and you provide us permission, if published, to use your work for a period of three years.  We suggest that you register your copyright, and can help you to do so.

Royalties

This is how we split all money raised by the sale of the book.  Please note that this is on the amount received from the sale of the book, so following the cut taken by Amazon, Barnes & Noble, our affiliates, etc.

Services

We work with you on the editing of your book, ensuring that we are publishing the best product possible.  Once we have come to an agreement that the book is ready for publication, we will then fully proof-read the book for you, ensuring that everything is as it should be.

Marketing

We will create a complete marketing plan for your book, and carry out that marketing for you.  This includes such things as press releases, sending out review copies, etc.  We will also provide you with a website and Facebook page, equipped with our Facebook Tabs software, to enable you to reach out.

If you do want to get involved in your own marketing, then that’s great, but we do ask that it all be organised through us, as we then know what is being done and will not cause problems down the line.

Author Liason Team

As an author, you will be able to contact our author liaison team, headed by Sylvia Kerslake, who will be there when you have any problems.  You may be panicking over a deadline, which will not be helping your writing, or you may be suffering from a severe case of writers block. At times like these, the author liaison team are there for you.
