Who is tagDiv?

Marius Padureanu

I started doing 3d as a passion back in 2001 using 3d Studio Max. It took a long time to learn as there was no easy internet access and tutorials to read. I slowly specialised in modeling, texturing, rendering and compositing, so basically a bit of everything.

Another hobby of mine is photography and video filming at various events, I’ve made a lot of photos for high school graduation, school celebrations and even some weddings.

During the years with my own freelancing company i’ve worked on a lot of interesting projects learning a bit of everything. This is what you’ll find in my toolbox: 3ds Max, ZBrush, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Combustion.

Radu Oprea

In 2006 I started my first web design company and like most first startups it was a failure, but I did learn to make better sites and better code. After that I worked for some time as a freelancer until I finally managed to earn money with my sites. Since 2007 I did mostly backend programming, database optimizations and linux administration.

On my list of startup projects I have a image hosting service, file hosting service, a task management web app, electronics components shop and a uptime monitoring service that was used by thousands of people. Even if most of the projects where failures, I came out with a lot of experience about seo, marketing, users behaviour, performance optimization and content publishing.

I like to design systems that are easy to use and modify. I’m sure we can make the best publishing themes on themeforest in our own way.

Radu A.

I started to make websites in 2004 using LAMP for a small company in my home town. We were a small but passionate team. In 2006 I joined a multinational team and started working on an ERP made in ASP and MSSQL. This is where I learned a lot about programing.

After a while I join another team where the main focus was web development. Here I worked on a lot of big projects like web directories, car rental sites and I also worked on the application used to manage the company tasks.

In my free time I like sports, music and going out with my friends. I also have a passion for cars.

My passion for computers and technology started back in 1997 when I bought my first pc, it was an AMD 486 80MHz with 4MB of ram memory. I worked for a few years in an computer sales and repair store where I gained a lot of experience in troubleshooting and fixing computer hardware problems.

I’ve graduated in 2008 with a major in computer science programming and after that I’ve worked for a while as a freelancer. In my free time I learned and experimented with Joomla and Photoshop. My experience with Joomla helped me master Wordpress quicker and now I’m a proud member of tagDiv team. My current main task is offering support for the clients.

Other passions: audiophile headphones technology, running, basketball (playing, not watching), eating good food and drinking good wine and … sometimes beer.

Our story:

Marius and I (Radu O.) decided to make themes while discussing some arduino related project. He wanted to control a camera tripod with an arduino to make 360 photos automatically and I had lots of arduino boards and shields from my online electronics stored that I’ve owned.

We soon realized that with our skills (designer and programmer) we can make some really good themes. I was a buyer here on themeforest and one of my goals was to make themes that are flexible and easier to modify… themes that I would use in my projects. It took a while until we decided on our niche and until we connected with our users but in the last year we managed to establish ourselves in the publishing niche.

The journey was fun, we released one of the craziest themes here (one of the only themes made with the help of 3dstudio max with live javascript reflexions on canvas) and also some unsuccessful ones.

Radu A. joined our theme in the last months specifically to confuse our customers… nobody knows if it’s talking to Radu A. or Radu Oprea. We were also in talks to hire another Marius in the team … imagine the confusion :)
