We believe there is an error in the TinyMCE 4.4.1 being used in Avada 5.0.1 “wp-tinymce.php?c=1&ver=4401-20160726:12 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘body’ of undefined”. We have tried to upload the latest 4.4.3. but cannot get the URL parameters updated, so our uploaded version results in a 404.
It seems we managed to trace this issue back to the Yoast SEO plugin.

Hi I have a sub-menu in mobile device, but when you hit the arrow down or the link itself goes to a blank page (the link does not work on pc – which is correct), its only when you press the far right of the menu (past the link text and the arrow) that it works – is there any way to fix this please? so that in mobile the first link make the dropdown work rather than taking it to a blank page? thanks

hi there, I do not want to use wpml plugin because I am not planning to make it multiple language site. How do I change certain text like “related posts” or avada tabs “recent”, “popular” into some other texts? I would like the code to put into the advanced theme options to overwrite those text please.

Help! I have updated to Avada 5. It does not work, and my website it a complete mishmash of code – live. I need your help quickly please. It simply does not accpet my new authorization key from Envato. I followed your instructions to a T. It neither gives a green tick, nor a cross. It simply refreshes the page, and remains blank. I also cannot update Fusion Core. It keeps giving me this message: The www.selfrealizationashram.org page isn’t working

Hi Ammar, Thanks for your reply. My license has expired. I am actually happy to buy a new license, and get the 6 months support included – and even extend it for the $18 to 12 months. Will you assist my issue then if I buy a new license? Or am I required to buy just extended support on this license for $42? If that is the case I will not be keen to choose that option. Can you double check when you did buy your theme? If you bought it before September 1st 2015, then we (ThemeFusion) Grandfathered you in https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/getting-started/grandfathered-support/ ... so check that post first, however the grandfathering does only apply to the site you purchased before that date.
If you buy a new license of the theme, it comes with 6 months of free support plus you get a discount on extending te support when you buy another license, so if you will need another theme license, that is the best way to go.

You will need an individual license for each domain actually as 1 license can not be used on more than 1 site,
you have to purchase/own a license for each publicly accessible domain install of the theme. Regardless of whether the installation domain is a sub domain or not, if it is publicly accessible, it requires a license.
If you are migrating to a different domain and you already have your product registered with your original purchase code etc, you do not need to purchase a new license; You can simply add your registered purchase information to the new installation’s product registration tab.

No, you can still update your installation of Avada even if you’re support period has expired. However, if you have double checked that all of your registration details are correct (username, API key and license code) and the registration is still not saving correctly, we will need to take a closer look at your site for you. If you want to update to 5.0 but are unable to register your purchase, you can download it directly from your ThemeForest account. As per my reply to your previous comment, if you’re not receiving Avada 5.0 when you download Avada from your ThemeForest account, please submit a ticket to the Envato support team as that should not be happening.

We’ve bought this theme and installed on our website pedrodiaz.com.au. But, unfortunately, when we tried to register the theme using “Product Registration” using the purchase code, it’s showing “Invalid token, or corresponding Envato account does not have Avada purchased”. I purchased this theme 1year ago. no more support ticket. Why is the download file still version 4.03? I have no idea the way upgrade avada 5.0. Am I missing something here?

Envato only store one version of the theme and that will be the latest one (5.0.1). If you’re receiving the Avada 4.0.3 files when you download the theme from your ThemeForest account, I would recommend getting in touch with the Envato support team and asking them to take a look at your account for you as that certainly should not be happening.

Also to be clear, the file you download has the same name, and when you unzip it it will also have the same name “Avada” folder.
Simply install that and you will see it is the latest version, which is 5.0.1. Avada 4.0.3 is definitely not stored on Themeforest, please download again and install the new version.
You can also easily check it by looking in the Avada folder you unzip, and opening the changelog.txt file, it will tell you the latest version at the top along with all that has changed.

Ryan. Sorry to be the pain but that answer is not cutting it. The site has worked on Avada for the last 6 months, the upgrade caused the problem. Furthermore Woocommerce is part of the error message, and that is included with the Theme as a plugin. I am the host. We will probably stay on the existing software level but it is not very nice to unsupport a 6 month old installation, with an update.

As this has been submitted as a new comment, I’m not sure which question/answer you are referring to. Also, I do need to mention that the six month support policy was introduced by Envato, not by the theme author. We are an author in their marketplace and therefore must abide by the rules set by Envato. We negotiated with Envato on behalf of our customers offer the grandfathered support policy for those who purchased before September 1st 2015. Anyone who purchased the item after that date will need to follow the six month/extension support policy set by Envato.
In regards to WooCommerce, we do support the plugin and we do test each version of Avada with a range of plugins before releasing. We’re more than happy to investigate issues that arise between Avada and WooCommerce, but we only have the power to resolve issues that reside on our side of the fence. We don’t include WooCommerce with Avada, we simply offer integrated options to provide a better experience as well as a simple interface to install it. It is still very much a separate product from Avada and any issues that arise that are plugin related should be taken up with the WooCommerce support team.
If you’re 100% sure that the update was processed correctly, there are no old WooCommerce template files left behind (which can happen when the update steps are not followed), your server permissions are correct and all of your plugins are up to date then we really do need you to submit a ticket so that we can look at your installation and debug what the issue might be.

In addition, if you see outdated files from a WooCommerce notice, then most likely you “replaced” the old Avada folder instead of deleting it and adding the new one. Replacing it can leave old files in the theme folder which can lead to those types of things happening. It is always recommended to delete the old theme folder, which is also how you update via WP, you have to delete the current active theme then load a new version, which removes all the old files.
Ok I read before asking and since the solutions given didn´t work:
1. uploaded all new files
2. I updated plugins
3. Applied patches (2)
So it never showed me the CONVERSION WARNING, and since my front page is not that complicated I decided to build it from scratch but the new Builder never loads, it keeps showing the loading gif without result…
What to do here?

So i thought i would give this theme another go since you have brought our the new version. But upon activating the theme i get an error “page isn’t working” and “s currently unable to handle this request.” What wrong ? Really not a great start.
Running the latest version of WordPress. I disable all plugins. That worked. Then I proceeded to install the required plugins. First fusion core, then fusion builder. Boom, same error. Really, what a waste of time and waste of money. How this can be a top seller beats me.

Your exact issue whereby the token would not register is due to your server and you needed to contact your hosting provider to ask them to not block the API -> http://d.pr/i/diFf
The fatal error you were receiving, is due to the Fusion Builder plugin being activated before Avada was active, and is confirmed by the fact that the fusion_get_option function resides in Avada, there fore Avada needs to be active first

I just purchased this theme. Why is the download file still version 4.03? Now I can’t get an API key and so cannot register and therefore cannot upgrade. Am I missing something here?
I just tried just downloading the theme file only and uploading that, but says the directory already exists and the install failed. Need some help.

This is not possible and you should always get the latest version (5.0.1 at the moment) of theme from your themeforest download tab. Please double check the version number inside the style.css file of your downloaded package.

So it seems the one I purchased and downloaded 6 days ago was still 4.03. I assumed the file was the same as the one I purchased today, so I just installed it. No I need to figure out how to remove it so it will allow me to install the new one.

If you haven’t started building your website and want to start from scratch with the latest version of Avada I would recommend using the WordPress Reset plugin to clear the database, then simply delete the Avada theme files via FTP or via the ‘Themes’ page of your WordPress dashboard. You an then download the new Avada files from your ThemeForest account and upload it as normal.

Love Avada – this is first.
Second, I’m so disappointed I never received a notice that 5.0 is available and found it here by accident. (I double checked my mail, nothing).. I’ve bought Avada multiple times (even buying another license today), and I’m even on your beta test list. Zero notice, no email, ThemeFusion has forgotten us.
Ok – now third – where is the documentation for upgrading? I tried to upgrade from 4.0.3 in the usual manner – and no-go. Nothing I do will work – so now going to try to manually update the theme, which is fine, but if this is necessary it would be awesome to hear it from you.
Have you forgotten you existing clients? Your most faithful supporters who’ve helped you become the #1 theme of all time? It’d be a shame of you did. Perhaps an ego check is in order.
Just my honest feedback .. still love the theme, the support, and will be buying more licenses.

BUT site still broken. Can’t figure out how to update to new fusion builder. No instructions anywhere.

Secondly, You should always get the UPDATE notification if you have registered your purchase for Auto Updates, or you can always manually update using FTP as you have already done.
Coming towards your issue, If you didn’t see the conversion screen that means the update process didn’t go smooth however we have a manual conversion trigger which can be seen inside Avada > System Status Tab and you can trigger the conversion from there.

Also in regards to beta, if you have not received emails then they are going to your spam folder. We have sent out dozens, and have had hundreds of beta users reply.
Beta is now closed, but we kept everyone up to date weekly there, and let them know in a final notice when we were going live.
I’d suggest checking your spam/junk folder to see if Git emails are automatically going there. If not, let me know your Git username so we can verify you are on the team.
We’d never forget our customers, you guys are the reason we continue to make new updates, form communities, offer support (even grandfathered for old users!), have beta groups and more.
With the “Fusion Builder Library allows you to save and mange all custom content” – is there an option for “global” custom content (like Divi)? Is it possible to save a block into the Library that will update changes across all pages the block is used when the block is edited?

Finally I have succeeded to update from 4.0.3 to 5.0.1
Since 3 days I’ve done all possible combinations such as deactivating all plugins, rewriting database, deleting elements or shortcodes etc. Notice: I run conversion process properly.
To be more specific, only one page from 22 (multi lingual site) cannot be converted, my Home page. Obviously, I thought was not a theme culprit but mine. So I started to search for the glitch.
What was wrong: In my 4.0.3 page were some custom shortcodes like buttons and icons, running well on that version of Avada. Updating and converting, the new version wasn’t able to properly convert those custom shortcodes and the result was a “Content Error. Your page content could not be converted…” message.
So, I identified and modified those custom shortcodes to be in the Avada line, I’ve run again updating and converting and now everything is working like a charm!
And I can say that the jump from 4.0.3 to 5.0.1 is a HUGE improvement in terms of speed and ergonomics. Also my ratings on pingdom, gmetrix and pagespeed insights were significantly increased.

Yes, you got that one quite right however we have already released a patch for this which can be applied in version 5.0.1 by going to Avada > Support Tab and then the conversion for the broken shortcodes should have worked
