Hello,
After update 4.0.1 to 5.0.1 (auto update method and manual update), I have a blank page (no access to the site and admin). I tried to disable plugins… The only way to solve the problem is to reinstall the version 4.0.1.

A blank page usually means a 500 Internal Server error that is server related and the Avada > Status Page needs to be checked and any PHP configuration limits in red need to be addressed as explained here -> http://bit.ly/1T5luaR
Likewise an incorrect update can cause this and when it comes to updating Avada and before you update, be sure to carefully read through and follow these update instructions and you will be fine. Rule of thumb is always to make a full back up of the theme, files and database first

It appears that your shortcode conversion did not run properly so some of the shortcodes are not converted to the new shortcodes, i want you to please go to Avada > System Status tab and run the shortcode conversion from there once please.

1. It is controlled globally from Theme Options > Typography tab, the toggle title uses a h4 tag so if you increase the h4 font from typography options it should increase the toggle title font size, or you can use custom CSS as well to increase the font individually.
2. This will require you to add top padding to the page actually, it can be done from theme options as well as fusion options too and you can read about it here please : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/options/page-top-bottom-padding/
3. This will also require you to use custom CSS and we have an article about this here as well : https://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/how-to-make-custom-css-changes/

Hi.
I have created a row with two columns (left column: 3/4 and right column:1/4).
When I built the site on localhost it showed up correctly.
As soon as I moved it to the staging area on a different server, the right-column is dropping below the left column. Inspecting it on localhost, I see the width of the columns are being calculated as width: calc(75% - ( ( 4% ) * 0.75 ) );
But when I inspect it on the other server I see a hard number in there: width: 74%;
I think this is what is making it drop down. If it looks fine in the builder, side by side like it should), why is it dropping below the left column…??
I tried using left column: 2/3 and right column:1/3 but the same thing happened.
Any help would be appreciated.

The width of columns should always be in %age and is never calculated by the formula, that formula you mentioned is only used for sidebar and main content width calculation and nothing else at all, from what it sounds you are not setting the 1/4 column as last column, our latest version 5.0.1 actually have a premade nested column option that you can use too : http://prntscr.com/cvo2x4
Try to disable all your 3rd party plugins and check once again please, if you still have issues i want you to open a new ticket with us with the complete details so we can check this out.

Appreciate the response.
I do not see how I can set the 1/4 column to be the last column. I am using the latest version of Avada and that option is no longer present.
Also, I am using your premade nested column option by clicking on the “+Container” link.
Any ideas…???

The option to set the ‘last’ column has been removed and is automatically calculated by the theme. It sounds like your page is missing some of the class names that provide the first/last column styling. While this should work out of the box, I believe it is possible that some third party plugins can cause a conflict here and we have added a fallback method to Avada 5.0.2. We have just submitted Avada 5.0.2 to Envato, so you should be able to update to the latest version shortly (as soon as it’s approved by Envato).

Please let me know if there’s an update for WooCommerce template files in Avada 5.0.1 or is this something I have to do on my own? I have researched for a patch but can’t find anything. I already have a support ticket for another issue (403 Forbidden Warning), so I don’t want to create a new ticket. Thanks in advance for all your hard work on the update!

Our 5.0.1 version uses latest Woocommerce template files and there should be no outdated template warning message, if you are still getting the outdated template message even after updating to 5.0.1 then you must be on child theme and needs to look into that please, however if you still see the warning please immediately create a ticket and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hmm, I’m not familiar with ‘Scribble Videos’, is it a WordPress plugin or just a video provider? We currently only support YouTube, Vimeo and self-hosted video embedding, so if it’s possible for you to host the scribble video’s on your server then you will be able to embed and assigned them to your portfolio items in the same way they are displayed on our live demos.

Oh my God! How am I evil developers Avada! What are you doing there? I was Avada version 4.0.3 – it’s updated to 5.0.1. After the update I have collapsed the entire site, as this fucking fusion builder never earned and made my site in gibberish, in a set of characters and everything disappeared !!! Thank God I recovered from backups! What happened is now updated ???

How did you update to Avada 5.0.1? Did you use the WordPress auto update method, or did you manually upload the new files via FTP. After installing Avada 5.0.1, you should have been given a prompt that asks you to convert your page content, did you agree the conversion notice? Lastly, you should have been asked to update the Fusion Core plugin and install the Fusion Builder.
If you followed all of those steps, the update should have completed successfully. When you say that “everything disappeared”, were seeing seeing all of the shortcodes on the front end of your site, or was the page just blank?
An issue like this will require a bit of debugging. Can you please head on over to our support center to submit a ticket? A member of our team will be assigned and respond as soon as possible.

I updated the theme through WordPress admin panel. Upgrading to 5.0.1 is successful. Further updated Fusion Core, then set Fusion Builder, all renewed and successfully established. Then he went to the site and on the pages of previously constructed Avada Builder everything collapsed – there are solid signs of shortcodes and all places all disappeared! Why do I need to write a ticket, it’s your fault and fix it! The man above has also pointed out on this!

Why open a ticket? Because tens of thousands of people have updated without issue, as have we over hundreds of sites. Something went wrong on your end and we need to look at it. We need information to see what is going on, then fix it.

At the moment, Avada does not have an option to set the background color of the menu items, only the menu text. If you would like to set a background color for the menu items when hovered/clicked, you will need to use custom CSS. The menu item selector is:

background: #FF0000;
}

Question about licensing – I would like to duplicate my website on the same domain name with different extensions – like domainname.com, domainname.co.uk, domainname.eu, domainname.ca – each will be hosted on the same server but will have slightly different content (like different denominations in woocommerce – to market different countries) and each will have a different database – it is one website duplicated with slight differences on different extensions. Question = do I need separate licenses for each extension or just one for the domain name?

Is it possible to add captions to images when using the fusion builder image carousel?

You can add captions in the lightbox, both title and caption will appear for the image (which is pulled from title/caption fields in media section of WP) ... but captions will not display below the image if that is what you need. Right now they will only in the lightbox, but this is a feature we want to add at some point.

I am not certainly sure about your query here, however you only get 1 theme (Avada) in $60 and not multiple themes. If you are talking about license you have to purchase/own a license for each publicly accessible domain install of the theme. Regardless of whether the installation domain is a sub domain or not, if it is publicly accessible, it requires a license.
If you are migrating to a different domain and you already have your product registered with your original purchase code etc, you do not need to purchase a new license; You can simply add your registered purchase information to the new installation’s product registration tab.

I’m sorry but I’m not sure what you are asking. It is one theme, that has dozens of demos you can import.
Are you referring to 250,000 sales? That is the number of sales our theme has generated, in fact it’s even more currently at 258,891, which is the most sold theme on Themeforest and has been #1 for 4 straight years.
Every theme sold here is one theme, but you can adapt them by customizations, which most people call “demos”, but it is still the same single theme.

Big issue: Avada 5 is Not working with Visual Composer-generated pages correctly—I prefer to use VC over fusion builder… what happens during your v5 update/conversion process is your converter now changes all pages to use FusionBuilder tags, which now means pages can no longer be updated/edited with VC (I’m using latest VC 12.1 version). For now the only workaround is to manually go and “restore earlier revision” of each page to retain VC edit capability. Please Fix your converter so it doesn’t wreck all my VC-generated pages during update to v5. big mess.

I can’t see how this can be a big issue or issue at all in fact. Conversion screen does mention that generic SC tags are now prefixed to avoid 3rd party plugin conflicts, however I can’t see why or how that would mess with VC. And we’ve not heard this report from anyone else who updated so please do open a ticket for us so we can check it out.

You will have to use any optimization plugin for this actually and look into the advanced settings of the plugin if there is an option for setting an expiry on images and different files, We have never tried this ourselves but you can try this plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/
