The available option is the revolution slider but you can replace it in header.php if you want too. The default behavior for this theme is to use uploader as slider.

Hi! I have a pre-purchase question. I’ve been looking for a community theme where our members can submit images of their work, updates, etc. Ideally, there would also be an event calendar in the mix. I saw that you had a calendar in the sidebar of the demo, but didn’t see any info on it. Is there a calendar built in?
If not, is there a plugin that would work well with your theme? I want everything on the front end as I don’t want there to be member access to the back.

I am very interested in your theme! I have some pre-purchase questions. What I would like to use your theme for is to create a website on which people can share only images.
• Does your theme support admin approval for images? If yes, does it support manually approving each image, even if the uploader has already uploaded an approved image before?
• Is it possible to restrict uploaded file formats to only .jpg and .png?
• If I saw correctly in your demo, users can see their own uploaded content on their profiles. Is this correct? So it would kind of be their own personal gallery?
• Do images get automatically assigned to galleries if they have the right tags? If yes, can tags (or categories) be limited to only those that admins created? I would not like users to be able to create their own tags or categories.
• Is it possible to open images in a lightbox from the galleries?

Thank you for your interest and following are the answers to your questions.
1. All frontend uploaded images are being part of a post so there is an option available to available to approve the post after review.
2. Right now all image formats are available including gif as well, but we with very little effort you can easily limit only the above-mentioned formats, we will help you for this limitation.
3. Yes, they have their dashboard to manage their uploaded posts or they can create a sort of gallery by liking the other user posts.
4. The are not allowed to create categories but you can easily disable the new tags option with very little change and again we will assist you in this procedure.
5. No, this option is currently not available and you have to customize the theme for this feature.

Well, security is always our high priority, the frontend uploader is secure with the following security checks.
1. We are using wordpress nonce technology to verify the request origin 2. All upload files mime types are being checked 3. Check to see if the request is from logged in user 4. All data fields are properly being validated 5. XSS validation
after all the above steps we are using Wordpress built-in wp_handle_upload function for final procedure, Wordpress is also using the same function for backend uploads.
Is it possible to only show articles on the home page? Or does it have to show everything that’s been uploaded?

We haven’t tested it with Buddypress but there are many built-in features similar to Buddypress.

2: how can i filter the users that show up on the “users” page. I.E prevent subscribers from showing on the users page 3: is it possible to make the feed on the homepage curated to who the user follows. Kind of like twitter

1- If you want to have video in header then yes you can use revolution slider for this purpose or if you want to play video post then you have to make slight changes in a PHP file.
2- Unfortunately, this option is currently not available. But we are using WordPress built in player with custom skin. So you can use any video ad plugin which support WordPress native player.
3- Again, we are using WordPress native functionality to handle uploads so you can use third party plugin for this purpose or you can also customize the code to upload only the front-end uploaded files.
4- You can edit the player style CSS file available in theme.

Again, As this is a community based theme so these feature requires user registrations but if you have PHP knowledge then you can easily turn off this functionality.
How do I get the Revolution Slider and Social Share plugins?

As Mentioned on Uploader item detail page the revolution slider and social share plugin are not included by default and you have to purchase it license separately.

But in dashboard-menu.php it is better to use ‘home_url’ (and not ‘site_url’).
