You can temporarily hide the product category with some CSS added to Flatsome’s custom CSS under Advanced Options:

.product-category{ display:none !important; }

Then remove it after the update has been applied..

see my post below – this code hides all the categories from the site, you want to hide the categories on the category.php template directly instead…

Hi,

I have currently a website on wordpress & woocommerce with the divi theme but I would like to change it probably for your flatsome theme. Before that, I have some pre-sale questions : - Is it possible to customize a product with the ux builder ? - Is your theme compatible with Product Bundle and Composite product plugin ? If yes, how does the product page of this kind of product will look like ? Would it be possible to customize this kind of products or use one of the product model that already exist on your demo (right column, left column…)? - Is it possible to change the position of the related product to the left or right column of the product page ? - Is your theme compatible with Boxtal plugin (shipping plugin) - Is it possible to have a demo access to the admin panel to see how it works ?

Thanks in advance !

Claire

Hello Claire, thank you for your interest in Flatsome.

1. Yes :) Please see http://docs.uxthemes.com/article/245-how-to-create-a-custom-product-page

2. We have not had any compatibility tests with the plugins. However, Flatsome has been built in accordance with WordPress coding standards and hence would work with any plugin that follows the same standards.

3. Yes, you can be able to move the related product section.

4. We have not had any compatibility tests with the shipping plugin.

5. I’m afraid we do not have a sandbox for testing the theme.

Hello,

i set to show just products in category but still showing categories in the category area?

Thank You

Hi there,

This is due to the recent WooCommerce issue. Temporarily, you can hide the categories using this CSS. Place it in Theme Options > Style > Custom CSS

.woocommerce.post-type-archive-product .product-category{ display: none; }

You can remove the CSS once you update the theme.

Hi the theme catalog option isn’t working. I checked the box to disable prices on category pages and product page but the prices are still appearing.

Hi there,

Please shoot an email via support and we’ll look into it.

Hello can you please send the email link again? It’s not working

Is this suggested wind back to a previous version going to fix the issue with categories displaying above products on the category pages? My category pages should just display products, but it’s showing 30 category boxes and products hidden low down the page which customers are missing. Started a week ago. Is this part of the fix coming in latest version?

Thanks for this. I tried it and it hasn’t worked. Please take a look at https://www.trinitymarine.co.uk/product-category/industrial-marine-vintage-lighting/

Hi. Pre-sales question. Is it possible to have a video as a gallery image for a single product?

E.g. I enter in a single product page with Vertical layout, 3 elements in the product slideshow are images and 1 is a video.

Thank you

Hi there,

Yes :) You can see this in action in our demo here http://flatsome3.uxthemes.com/shop/men/wicked-ss-o-neck-selected-homme/

Hey Guys, Seeing though FlatSome are slow to the comments here. Here is a temp fix for the Flatsome Theme! https://gist.github.com/brian8544/b0836b7b9519769b70da0cc439d8486d

^^ SEE ABOVE FOR TEMP FIX ^^

You could also hide the product categories from the shop page with CSS

TALKED WITH DEV:

“I apologize for the inconvenience, however we could not provide you a 100% exact ETA for the update. If all goes well, the new version should be released between tomorrow to the next 2-3 days. The team is currently working on it and we are trying to release it as soon as possible.”

So there’s some good news. Hopefully it will be today.

Hope this helps.

please update woocommerce files ASAP, all is pretty messed up now regarding products :(

I have downloaded the latest Woocomerce and manually replaced all outdated template files. Can see products now but there are super big / have wrong size. Hope fix is coming soon. Looks like Woocomerce guys messed up pretty good.

Hi there, apologies for the trouble.

Our development team is working hard to resolve this ASAP.

I wan’t to create a vertical menu. Can you put me in the right direction where I should paste the shortcode for, let’s say, Uber Menu? Where should I put this shortcode in the Flatsome pagebuilder if I want to use this in a grid or collumn so I can create a vertical menu on the homepage in the body?

Hi there,

I’m afraid the available template files do not support the vertical menu. You will need to edit the theme files to achieve this.

Hi

Is there any idea on when the new version will be released? This way I can make a choice to wait a bit or roll back.

Thank you. Kind regards.

Hi there,

I’m afraid I can’t give you a definite ETA to the update. However, our development team is working hard to resolve this.

FOR FRESH INSTALLATIONS OF FLATSOME V3.4.3

Avoiding Flatsome v3.4.3 Auto-Updating WooCommerce to v3.3.0 During Setup:

1 ) On a fresh WP install, go to install plugins in your admin panel and find WooCommerce and open the official plugin page in another tab.

2 ) Scroll to the bottom of the Woocommerce plugin page and download version 3.2.6 (under previous versions).

3 ) Return to plugins page in your admin panel and upload WooCommerce version 3.2.6 and activate it.

4 ) Go back to plugins page in your admin panel and search for Webcraftic Clearly, install and activate it.

5 ) Go to the Webcraftic settings and go to the “Updates” section.

6 ) Under Updates, go to the tab that says “Plugins” (where you can configure plugin settings per plugin).

7 ) Find WooCommerce and select “Disable Updates” and go back to the main plugins page in your admin panel.

8 ) Check to make sure the update nag has disappeared for WooCommerce.

9 ) Go to Themes and upload Flatsome and go through the setup wizard as usual and install the plugins, child theme, and template of your choice.

10 ) Return to your dashboard and you’re done.

This is how I was able to install Flatsome with WooCommerce 3.2.6 without having to downgrade from WooCommerce 3.3.0 afterwards.

Hope it was helpful to anyone else in the same situation as me.

-Tank

This was posted for anyone needing a fresh install that didnt want to downgrade or roll back.

Hi there,

Many thanks for the tip :) Kindly keep an eye out for the next Flatsome update

hi How can I add my own jqueries to flatsome temple? Is doing this possible?

Hi there,

You can enqueue the jQuery files right from the functions.php file http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-properly-add-javascripts-and-styles-in-wordpress/

Hi How can I add timeline? Does template flatsome has this feature ?

Hi there,

I’m afraid Flatsome does not have this element by default. You will need a plugin to implement this.

I have been trying to get my site to look like the ‘Slider Cover’ Demo. I’ve installed the theme and select this theme / demo to be imported but it doesn’t look like it. Why is that? trying to get my template to look like http://flatsome3.uxthemes.com/demos/shop-demos/slider-cover/

Hi there,

Please shoot an email via support and we’ll look into this for you.

thank you very much for your reply. Email sent.

Thanks for the workaround boostedgts. Do you know if there’s an easy way to edit the code to force Flatsome to only install the previous version while it runs setup? I am looking for a way to install Flatsome with the previous version of WC without having to downgrade after words. There’s gotta be a place somewhere in Flatsome’s code where it instructs WP to download and install WC, but I am wondering if the only option is to pull the latest stable version (rather than pulling a previous version).

But I am just gonna wait. It’s for a client and I want to make sure they are setup fresh with the newest version and everything stock.

Hi there,

You can grab WooCommerce 3.2.6 here https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/releases/tag/3.2.6 and install the plugin manually.

Portfolio pages stopped working. Even though portfolio posts are named correctly, they all result in a 404. Can’t see the obvious fix. http://www.quirke.ca/portfolio/

Hi there,

Please flush your permalinks by saving changes in WP-ADMIN > Settings > Pemakinks.

Thanks! That suggestion worked.

Hi when you guys are updating your version 3.4.3 of your theme to work with the new WooCommerce 3.3.0 version can you PLEASE also update the Version: 2.9.10 version of your theme as well to work with Woocommerce 3.3.0?

Hi there,

I will make sure to pass this to the development team.

READ THIS IF YOU UPDATED TO WOOCOMMERCE 3.3.

If you visit the WordPress WooCommerce Page and click “Advanced View” on the right (use this link: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/advanced/), at the very bottom of the page you can download the previous version (3.2.6) by selecting it in the “Development Version” drop down and clicking “Download” and revert back to a previous version until Flatsome is updated accordingly.

You’re welcome.

Hi there,

Thank you for the tip, Our development team is working towards an update.
