Hi,
Is it possible to display products from custom categories on the home page using shortcodes or your visual composer? I mean, something like “Latest products” or “Recommended for you” but for my own categories.

Recently I bought your theme, but I am not able to import the demo data – I got multiple failures (https://1drv.ms/u/s!AqIMVlFBgzexm9km7Dn3RdkMokV_Iw ). Due to this, my website is now completely messed up. I checked max_execution_time in php, and my web admin restricted it to 30s. I can’t bypass this limit. Would you be able to send me the zipped demo data so I could manually upload it to my ftp?
Also, how did you remove the default wordpress sidebar in Ecommerce and Smaller Slider demos?

The ‘All done’ message at the end would indicate that the import did complete successfully – we don’t include images in the demo data to keep the import size down.
If you send us a private message with your site link and WP details via the ‘Support’ tab at the top we can take a look.
Re: default sidebar – if you mean on a particular page – change the ‘Template’ dropdown to ‘Homepage’. If you mean on the product listings or product details there are sidebar settings with the ‘Captiva Theme Options’ panel.

I am seeing Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class WC_Settings_Products in /home/stress09/public_html/sfmpreviews.co.uk/wg/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/admin/settings/class-wc-settings-products.php on line 449 in the product area. Any clues? The description box contents is all white text on white background, its really messing things up, any clues? I cant seem to fix it.

Sounds like something is wrong with either your woocommerce plugin files – or you’ve got some other plugin redeclaring that class. Unfortunately it’s not something that’s covered by theme support as it’s not theme related.
Try deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce as a first step to see if the error goes away.

No 3.3.1 compatibility just yet. That release was only approved earlier this week after being pulled from the plugin repository for issues.
We’re hoping to have an update for Captiva to support it within 2 weeks once it settles down.

Hi Guys. I notice the last update to your theme version 1.9.8 was released in August 2017. When can we expect the next update? I ask because my plugins such as LayerSlider WP and WPBakery Visual Composer are now way behind and I cant update them until you guys update your theme.

Both VC and LayerSlider have been very unstable the past few months which is why we held off issuing unstable updates – which cause a huge amount of disruption for customers. We’re due back in the office next week and will be issuing updates on a rolling basis after that.

Hello! I just updated my theme and WP+WooCommerce and when adding a new product, it seems the main product image doesn’t resize in view to be the same size of my previous products int he products grid. Is the product grid now variable image sizes being displayed? I’d like it all to be the same size on the grid, do I have to manually upload images all of the same size dimensions now, and if so, what are those dimensions? Thanks for all the help!!!!!

WooCommerce has documentation on how to set catalog sizes – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/fixing-blurry-product-images/
You would be better off adding similarly sized product images for uniformity. The ‘Regenerate Thumbnails’ plugin can also re-size any images to the sizes set.

I stupidly upgraded my Visual Composer to Version 5.2… yeah, that caused a lot of problems, thank goodness for backups. Do we have a time frame for when Captiva will be upgraded to work with the new VC?

We don’t use woocommerce on our site but if we delete the plugin we are notified that the theme needs woocommerce enabled. Is there a way to turn off notifications once we’ve installed the theme?

I recommend you simply ignore the notifications.

It’s pretty easy.
You just create a blank page – call it anything you want – and set the ‘Template’ dropdown to be ‘Showcase:: 4 columns’

I updated the plugin Woocommerce and now the “choose an option” section in the front end is not working anymore. In specific, you can only choose “choose an option” but not a variation like amount. Therefore, I cannot add it to the cart in order to buy. Perhaps, you can help here.

We paid somebody to build the webshop a few years ago. Therefore, we cannot provide any purchase code. We guess the person creating the website for us purchased the theme. Is there any other way to help us?

We need a purchase code to provide support I’m afraid – if you can source it from the web designer or buy a new one you can send it via the ‘Support’ tab above.
I’d always recommend you buy licenses under your own name to prevent this kind of thing happening and to have access to theme updates.

i have updated the theme to latest theme but my plugin wpbakery visual composer says “You have version 4.11.2 installed. Update to 5.0.1.” So just want to ask where is this new plugin files
You update via Appearance > Install Plugins.
For Layerslider – disable the plugin first before updating.

Hi. I faced a new issue with the theme. I have choosed to display prices all inclusive of taxes on storefront but the prices entered are exclusive of taxes and tax are calculated @18% . The issue is as a guest the prices are shown without taxes and when logged in as a user the prices are shown inclusive of taxes

Captiva was updated on May 9th – less than 2 weeks ago. We have no reports of any of the issues you describe.
If you submit a ticket via the support tab above with screenshots and precise details of each problem we can help.
You will however need to have up to date support – yours expired over a year ago on 2/3/16. You can renew it on the theme details page first.

Well thanks for the reply for the variation but during product addition choosing a variable product and while adding a attribute circle starts loading and its never ending.
Hi there – try disabling the ‘Visual Composer Ultimate Add On’s’ plugin – and see if that solves it. That plugin doesn’t really need to be enabled anymore – much of its functionality has been included now in the main VC.
