Hi there, I just updated Rythmo to version 1.3.5 and also updated the plugins. As a result, WP Bakery plugin is disabled and doesn’t allow activation. It just states “update required”. Under Appearance / Install Plugins I see that WP Bakery 8.6.1 is installed, Available Version is 8.7.2 I can click the update link there and the update seems to run just fine, but afterwards I still have WP Bakery 8.6.1. This doesn’t get me anywhere and the whole site is broken. I assume this is because the WP Bakery version download from your site is the wrong one.
Can you please fix this or tell me how to get out of this loop?

We cant edit screen options nor change post status (Publisehd, draft), visibility (hidden, public), publish date… buttons that were there for changing the composer (classic, wp bakery) are missing.
Frontend WP Backery still working but backend is completely broken.
We are used to and find faster to edit on backend.
Ok, problem solved.
We already reported a problem with a plugin (Social Pug – Grow by Mediavine) that slowed and broke the page a lot.
This time the problem was caused by Essential Grid plugin from ThemePunch. (Even the plugin webpage is broken and inaccesible at this moment https://essential-grid.com/ )
Everything is back to normal after deactivating it.
We like your themes and your brand as developers, as we have bought and used a couple templates from you and we are very pleased.
But you should be more careful about what third party plugins you do include with your themes.
Some third party developers are not as reliable as desired and that might cause problems to you and to the people that purchases your themes.

We like the theme desing and its WP Bakery Page Builder Integration, also its custimization options. We are going to start to work on it to adapt it to our needs.
Theme installation and demo import worked perfectly, but….
I would like to comment an issue with a plugin that comes bundled with the Theme:
The plugin is the following: “Grow by Mediavine”
This plugin slows down a lot the loading of the web. Practically it was over 15+ 20+ seconds. We used pagespeed insights and loading time was 41+ seconds.
We though this was something theme related, but we wanted to check and started deactivating plugins, discovering it was just this “Grow by Mediavine” plugin that would slow the page load so much.
We are going to keep this plugin uninstalled as we dont need it, and in case we need to allow users to share posts on the social networks, we will use another plugins, among the many that exists to share on Social Networks, that we know that works fine and fast.
We dont need further support for this. I’m writing this just to let you know in case you would like to do something about this. Maybe you can fix this in some future update and if not, maybe you should think about replacing this plugin for other that works better.
I would also like this can help people with the same problem so they doesnt waste time figuring out what is wrong.

I forgot to say, now, after uninstall the “Grow by Mediavine” plugin the web loads instantly on any browser, and pagespeed insights give us 4 – 6 seconds loading time.

The txt issue is server-related. You most likely have Safe mode or allow_url_fopen = Off in PHP settings or outgoing server requests are forbidden in firewall.
Alternatively, you can download the demo.zip file from this link http://demofiles.themerex.net/rhythmo/demo.zip, unzip it and upload the unzipped demo folder to wp-content/themes/rhythmo directory on FTP so that the path to the files is wp-content/themes/rhythmo/demo/default….
With that done, please try importing the dummy data from your admin again, it should work.

Do not waste your time or money purchasing this theme unless you want a very generic website because the customizing options for this theme is very limited and if you purchase it and it does not work they will not refund you

The theme is fully editable and most of the options you should edit through Theme customizer. There you can see the changes of the front-end right after the alterations – when the needed parameter is selected, without switching from admin to front-end each time. When you are done with the changes, you should click on Publish button at the top of the Customizer’s side menu.
