Yeah it is a real pain in the …
I also have the Intuos 4 (medium version) and even though it is an excellent tablet and I really like the new surface texture I also experience the nib issue. This wouldn’t be such a problem if the nibs were cheap or if Wacom was seriously addressing the issue but both are not happening.
So it could be a deal breaker for a lot of folks. A very bad move on Wacoms part.
Then again there are no real competitors out there which is also probably the reason Wacom isn’t handling this issue like they should. Why would they, if they know people are stuck with them. Bad way of doing business sure and in the long run it’s going to hurt them as soon as a real competitor stands up but for now no biggy for Wacom:-(.
Might I post a warning before you buy the Intuos 4. There is a huge problem with the nibs of the pen that are wearing at an extreme rate. Some even go through 1 nib every 2 or 3 days and seeing that the price of the nibs is steep (to say the least) you might want to reconsider.
Anyway good advice is to go to http://forum.wacom.eu/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1438
which is a thread on the wacom forum of 16 pages of people who are very angry with wacom about the nib wearing issue and the fact that it is still not resolved.
I have seen something similar a while back for a job in Spain. What I don’t understand about these jobs is why someone would need to go to Berlin (or Spain). That seems like a very outdated way of working.
Why would you need the person in that location when there are so many ways of colaborating through the internet?
I would say you have the right to your money back. You bought something that shouldn’t have been sold in the first place, so you were illegaly sold something.
Been there done that.
It’s an awfull experience that keeps happening over and over. Customers are a neccessary evil:-).
Besides thanksgiving day is an American day. There are a lot of people from all over the world here and personally I am not erven sure if Envato is American.
