I do have to criticize chuckanucka in one point: I think you should have contacted support first and create this thread only as the last option.
Perhaps, but I wanted to get second opinions before going down the more serious support/copyright route. I personally feel if you are lazy enough to not even pick some different fonts you deserve to be called out for it.
This thread has a brought a ok resolution – the fonts at least have been changed. I have still contacted support about the pricing inconsistency.
Anyway, huge thanks for everyone who took the time to leave some feedback, its interesting seeing all the different opinions.
well some of the best selling files of all time are web elements, so yes I do think the can sell. You have to somehow find that magical formula of what people want & can reuses in lots of projects.
mine from a few years ago:
Hello, After waiting 4 days for my item to be approved, it was rejected for not putting it in the right category. I know it was my ’’mistake’’ but couldn’t reviewers put the item in the right category?
yes, this is such a silly rule, it just wastes everyone time – writing the message, downloading/uploading the files again.
What’s with all this talk about the EU and the Euro ceasing to exist..
I think its very possible as we start to see the harsh cuts planned across Europe.
The real buyers don’t really care at differences of 1-2 dollars, (and I bet 90% of buyers would still buy if prices were the triple) And I must say that your stuff is awesome and you don’t need to worry that much about prices
thanks! love your work too, but I disagree about price, $1/$2 makes a huge difference in a crowded market. If you like two files you will always go for the cheapest.
I know many buyers who simply say “I didn’t buy the most beautiful style, but purchased 6 which I can use in 6 different projects.”
This is what concerns me, everyone loves a bargain and my 5 styles at $5 can’t hope to compete with 12 styles at $2. I believe layer styles can be easily priced the same as each style is just a group of settings.
prices have to be adjusted so less popular files can better compete with the more popular files
that can’t be true, why would they create such artificial competition?
I think simply there is no joined up thinking between reviewers.. a lot of the pricing defies any logic.
if other similar files were priced at $2, that would be fine. Having the highest possible price is not optimal – this is micro stock, so you do much better having lower priced files which sell many than higher priced files that sell few.
