Curious what your experience has been – does a new paw equal more sales because of the way some buyers search?
This is highly unlikely – but just to be sure: I occasionally have bussing issues when I mix in Pro Tools, as follows:
I’m sending all audio to an aux track for possible processing, and from there on to the mix track. But occasionally something I recorded or imported late in the production doesn’t get bussed properly, so it’s not going to the aux track and on to the mix track. BUT it’s output is to Main 1-2, so I hear it, and I’m fooled into thinking it made it to the mix!
I prefer sasparilla….
I didn’t notice when I hit 100 sales until a few days later. When finally did notice, I said “hmmm.”
Henceforth that will be my celebratory shout of triumph.
Every 2 days or so. Used to be more often, now less. Sometimes I forget for 3 or 4 days…. I think I would check more often if I was getting many sales every day.
I’ve been including a Wal-Mart coupon (buy 3 cans of tomato paste, get 1 free), 10% off on a life-size cutout of myself, and advertising opportunities in the coveted yellow pages of the central Indiana phone book. Surprisingly, the response has not been overwhelming.
The Uke is alive and well, though it may be on the way down. I’m not a guitarist but I bought a Uke late December and hacked my way through a song that has become my best seller (by a narrow margin). Admittedly it does have whistling as well, so perhaps it’s the combo meal effect…
AJ has boatloads of music, and more than enough fine writers vying for sales! There have been a couple threads about this issue, and its negative impact for buyers (and sellers). I’m not sure it’s the prudent thing to encourage everyone to keep trying.
Green Eyes’ music sounds very nice – lesser songs & writers have made plenty of sales – but AJ is not for everyone! I applaud those who have figured out that the return is just not worth the time that has to be invested, and move on. To restate the obvious though, bailing after 1 month is being a bit impatient!
Green Eyes, if you’re still here and following the thread, you’re music sounds very nice. Good luck, and I hope you find your niche.
