Thanks for the heads up. I hope this time you will hire more human people not robot people. My last reviews was a nightmare. I was getting same screenshot over an over again 4 times in a row with an error I couldn’t replicate and no explanation at all. Because of this it took a month to approve it! I really hope you will find great candidates, some next Ivors
We just got approved after reuploading without fixing that issue. So probably it was just a mistake.
Same thing happened to us, last soft rejection was because of this:http://envato.d.pr/13yde/1LLzMFtY
And the comment was: “The search results page is broken”.
As you see there is some “wp-directory” plugin, which somehow output a user on a search page (!) and add a “About Me”, “My Ads”, “Favorites”...
But theme is a single page layout and does not require anything like this. So I’m having the same question. We are already spent a month on a soft rejections, and mostly because of repeating (which was previously explained by us but then appeared again) and weird issues found be reviewers.
Hi! It’s displayed by Debug bar plugin, just install it from wp.org
Thank you haintheme, yes I see now it is a Debug Bar plugin (which is quite nice tool). Unfortunately I still can’t replicate the message that reviewer has… Tried on clean install and in some other conditions, no luck. So only reviewer can tell us that secret, hope he will not ignore my question again.
I know it maybe not a correct place to ask about explanation of review feedback, but I think the answer on this question may be quite obvious… Unfortunately not for me.
Here is the screenshot of a problem made by reviewer:http://coffeecreamthemes.com/themes/bigdate/problem.png
The problem is, I can not replicate this message. I even don’t know how its displayed, never saw anything like this before (with the counter on top)... Is it displayed by some theme check plugin? Or by WP itself? Where I can see it?
Two times I asked a reviewer these questions, but he ignored them and send us just a screenshot again.
I’m sure next month will be better, nothing to cry about.
Thanks Gareth, maybe you are right. I like the idea of writing posts on blogs. I’ll keep all your advices in mind. Damn! I need to hire another person just for the marketing then because right now I have to choose or working on new and existing themes or taking care of support and marketing That’s not a complain.
Similar topics appear each month) And somebody ask “maybe is smth wrong with Envato?”. That’s why i would advice you to work on items and not spend you time on sales discussion.. because you will not get any positive results. It’s a normal stats.. one month for a part of authors – it’s good with sales. For the second part – it’s not so good. The next month is contra
1. I don’t start or read similar thread every month.
2. I do care about my templates and themes quality and that’s why I keep improving theme, making regular updates and so on.
3. I wouldn’t start this thread if I’d think it’s normal sales drop because it happens and I agree but this one is huge and sudden. But as I said on the beginning, maybe it’s too soon to tell and maybe I’m overreacting. That’s why I wanted to know other authors opinion.
I don’t know what is going on in Envato this monith, but the sales are much lower than last month. And I’m talking about drop around 20% which is a lot, especially when I’ve got new template approved few weeks ago.
In the first week everybody has noticed it, there was a thread on the forum about some possible errors in Envato Markets SEO and after few days was back to normal. Last 2 days was a weekend, so I understand it’s lower, but today is Monday and I ahve only 4 sales, which normally I had already around 12 to 15.
Maybe it’s too soon to tell and I’m overreacting, but I have this feeling that’s something wrong is going on.
This change is a great help for customers and excellent new revenue stream for Envato. Please don’t forget about authors. I can see 1 star ratings coming with comment: “I’ve ordered installation 2 hours ago and nothing happened!”. Will we be able to turn it off in our themes?
+1 on that.
