Yea, I started a support ticket just now. It’s frustrating because I remember I used to be able to just respond to the email. Now I have to jump through several hoops.
I’ve been a member of Graphic River for a few years now. I haven’t uploaded a ton of files like some people, but I have a select few that have done really well. I have two vintage photo templates that I uploaded a long time ago. They each have a few hundred sales. Not great, but good enough. I decided to create more of these.
After uploading and waiting for approval, I received the generic rejection letter, but no comment as to why the file was actually rejected. I tried replying to the email, but I just got a delivery failure notice. The file is high quality, well-explained, has plenty of features and is aesthetically unique.
So I figured I’d try and upload again to see if I could get a better response. I get the same generic rejection letter. But this time they added this bit:
“This is a resubmission of a previously rejected submission. Resubmitting without making the required changes or any improvements is not considered acceptable use of the Envato marketplaces and repeated attempts may result in a temporary or permanent suspension of authorship.”
Now, I’d love to make the “required changes or improvements” if I KNEW WHAT THOSE WERE. It just pains me to see high quality files get rejected and no explanation as to why.
DigitalYardSale – I’m afraid that if I remove his ears, the result will not change … and ears emphasize the idea Besides the standard copy-paste there was nothing in message. Files seems in order, if there is similar logos I don’t know, and this is not first my logos … what’s going on I do not understand. And there is no response from the Support too, and I doubt that they will answer clear. I apologize for the harshness, but I would like to see the care about the designers in fact, not just in words. I think that everyone wants. Thanks, Oleg
I don’t think you’re being too harsh. I feel like sometimes there’s a bit too much left up to the individual reviewer’s preference. You could probably submit a rejected file like one of these 10 times and 6 out of 10 times it would be approved. I think it just depends on who’s reviewing it.
I like the idea but not the execution. It doesn’t translate well that the card in front is supposed to be a mobile phone. The “home” button by itself isn’t enough in my opinion. Maybe think of a way to include the outline of the screen somehow. Even if that outline is just connecting the A’s. I’m not sure…but you’ll think of something.
Your logos look very professional and clean. I like them all except for the first one. The head in the logo visually looks odd or out of place.
I agree that the logos are nice and clean. I think it’s the ears that are throwing highguage and myself off in the first logo. Maybe simplify the silhouette of the head and remove the ears.
Did the reviewer not give a reason for the rejections? While the logos look clean to us, your files themselves may be difficult to modify for the end user. As long as the files are user-friendly and easy to edit, I’m not sure what the cause would be for rejection. Unless, of course, there are other very similar designs already on the marketplace.
Congrats! I’ll be there soon
Very cool! You’ll get that feeling with every “first” on this site. Good luck.
I don’t pretend to know everything that goes into choosing a featured file or author, but the quality of work is usually good, regardless of sales.
I would, however, LOVE to be a featured author, but that could have something to do with the fact that I haven’t uploaded anything new in quite some time
Thanks for the congrats! And glad you guys like the item.
So glad I got a Free File of the Month up on Graphic River for April. There’s just a good feeling I get when giving away free stuff sometimes
I hope you all go download and check it out! And thanks to Graphic River for choosing it.
