Update: We tested and it IS working with the theme mentioned. It’s just that the user is not using Visual Composer.
6 hours disabled already and still not resolved..
Short story: We have a Visual Composer addon that is in the popular list that worked with a certain theme. The theme bundled Visual Composer, so no problems there. The theme is now using a different page builder. Our addon now doesn’t work because now there is no bundled VC.
Yesterday: We updated our plugin description to say that the certain theme is now using another builder but our addon still works when used with VC and we tested this.
Today: Our item got soft disabled with the message:
Item advertises that it’s compatible with the _ theme when it isn’t. Please double check the list and PM me once done so I can enable this ASAP.
So I modified the plugin description again now to make that thing clearer and resubmitted.
Huge issue #1: The message didn’t leave a name so I do not know who to PM. I Tweeted, I sent a Support Ticket to Envato as soon as I got the message.. nothing, it just said to be patient.
Huge issue #2: Why the delayed but immediate soft disable? We already changed our plugin description yesterday as soon as we realized there was a problem. The soft disable probably came from a customer report that just now hit the Envato support team and just acted on it now even though we already rectified it.
As of this writing it’s been over 3 hours now since it got Soft Disabled because of the item description.
I cannot be patient since out of all our plugins, this specific one is our best seller and it’s the middle of the week!
I’m posting here since I have exhausted all avenues of contacting Envato
Almost forgot, here’s our plugin link if ever a staff member is reading this: http://codecanyon.net/item/video-parallax-backgrounds-for-visual-composer/7049478
Just got a new MBP retina, so I decided to browse around and checked out our portfolio. I found out that all thumbnails & preview images in the Marketplaces are so blurry in high dpi displays.
Prior to my eyes being exposed to a large retina screen, I assumed those images would be blurry, but I didn’t really think about how blurry they would be until I saw them for myself.
Now.. my eyes are opened (as I type, light is shining on me from the heavens)
I would like to request Envato to allow authors to upload higher resolution images of thumbnails and inline preview images. It would be easy enough to implement since the thumbnails now have
height="80" width="80" attributes attached to them. Uploading larger images (e.g. a 160×160 thumbnail for a 80×80 thumbnail) is currently disallowed when editing an item.
Why not just offer two things to buyers: 1) same price = no support, and 2) higher price = with 6 months support. No mandatory stuff. Why impose support to authors who don’t want to? Just incentivise those who do give support.
Chrome 25.0.1364.99. I’m lazy to type it in
Can sign in fine, but now I have to retype my password every time, no more browser saved passwords.
