While all this is being sorted and as this new rules are applying in less than a day, I was wondering if is there a way of “pausing” item sales on the market? Any alternative to removing the items?
As far as I know, there is no such feature available. I agree that it would have been extremely useful in this situation, but unfortunately there’s no temporary freeze switch.
Ok, got a few questions, and I figured since the answers might be interesting for everyone here I ask in the forum instead of sending a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org:
Are you also sending it there, though? I feel like you should consider doing so, as you make important and fundamental points that should not be snowed under.
Don’t underestimate the difficulty in designing a well-balanced card or board game. It needs to be both graphically appealing and well-rounded from a game-play perspective, and humour is not free either. There are countless examples of failed attempts that demonstrate this perfectly
Apache and PHP (and Python!) come pre-installed with OSX, and adding MySQL is fairly straight-forward. I recommend against installing a complete MAMP or XAMP stack next to these. Instead, configure the built-in services or install drop-in replacements with Homebrew when the versions are not to your liking.
Alternatively, go for an intergrated development solution such as Vagrant that is properly isolated. I agree with guuthemes that turning your Mac into a server is not what you want to do here; keep things under control.
With regard to deleting a folder with rm -rf.. that’s pretty final. Keep up to date backups to prevent this in the future. That said, I have had positive experiences with testdisk. It is crucial that you immediately switch off the disk that this folder was on, as each write you do has a chance of overwriting the data. Given that this is 4 days after the fact, it is likely too late.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone! We’re trying our best
Creattive saidUmm… my guess is the topic was created before it was finished and set to disabled and now that it’s finished they forgot to remove it. IDK.
what does (disabled) mean?
Indeed! There’s a small bug in the moderator controls in the sense that when we un-disable a topic, we need to fix the title manually. This nearly never happens, which is why it got overlooked this time around
My goat farming empire hasn’t taken off yet, so I can’t afford both mac and PC.
Virtualisation! And more goats!
I bought a 15” macbook pro retina and using Bootcamp I loaded windows 8.1. If I’m working I boot into windows, otherwise I boot into OSX for everything else
How has the driver support been treating you? Granted, it’s been a few years (and I’m on an older Mac than you are), but the last time I tried bootcamp I was a bit disappointed by the relative performance of the graphical card (as well as the battery).
