Would it hurt the reviewers to write a few non-generic words about the specific reason an item was rejected?
Do you know how many templates and themes get submitted daily? It indeed would hurt to give detailed answers without request to everybody, because as much as it’s your time it’s theirs, and that means it’s money.
After all they are minimizing the initial effort and therefor reducing the review time, which I am sure would be the next point of complaint if it took longer due to the detailed reviews. It’s a vicious circle.
And upon further request you do get lots of helpful feedback.
Swallow the bitter taste of rejection and keep on working!
Okay listen, if you don’t want honest opinions, don’t ask for it.
Reporting my opinion is weak and will lead you nowhere.
I gladly repeat: I recommend trashing this theme and looking for tutorials and resources to learn more about what you’re trying to achieve, because at this state you will never make it to themeforest.
Your skills are very low and I understand why the reviewer didn’t bother to give concrete feedback.
It does not happen too often but in this case, you will probably not face an approval for the next 3 years. Your knowledge is far below basic and this design is never gonna make it on themeforest. You should consider another option of income, webdesign doesn’t suit you. Cheers!
Do you actually have the license for the Shrek-picture?
rvision_ saidHmm…not sure about that. Maybe I did read something similar in some articles in the past, but the sentence just came into my mind when I was replying.
billyf saidIt looks like it’s dropped from somewhere (tutorial or something)
PS : Do not ‘mix’ different designs onto a page unless the outcome is better. From what I see, the navigation bar certainly does not fit in your current design
rvision means the style of the nav looks like it’s from a tutorial, not your sentence.
This theme is awesome!! The logo is horrible tho, it’s too big and the intro area is too bold as well, not enough going on. But the content area is perfect.
What is the point of your post?
They should use masonry probably, or a fixed height,… whatever, only human.
I’m getting a little frustrated here. Since almost five days I’m waiting for an update on a soft-rejected theme of mine to be reviewed. 49 (!!!) themes were accepted on Themeforest during my wait for some kind of reaction on my update. Also I updated another theme that is pending one day now. Okay the one day thing is not that annyoing – but the almost five day thing is! C’mon it was a soft-reject with a very specific hint on what I should re-do – which I’ve done. Just accept it or reject it again but don’t keep me waiting so long! It’s not rocket science!
While posting on the forum most certainly won’t affect the speed of your review, you might open a ticket and in addition tweet envato support the ticket ID. Maybe they need a specific person to review your item and that person is not here.
The list of themes getting accepted does not contain the list of updated items, so the speed of the two lists is not the same.
