Congratulations …roll on 200!
Who would check a thanks section? Personally, I like to see them here – it helps create a nice community atmosphere and it’s not like their flooding the forums, is it?
...P.S. Woo! 200 sales!! Thanks everyone!!
That’s good going!!
Looking now, you have 187 sales in the list (both the overall one and the GR only one). You’re showing as 1163rd overall and 235th on GR.
The top author lists aren’t completely live, they are updated periodically. It tells you how long ago they were updated in the right sidebar: ‘Generated 27 minutes ago’.
Have you had two sales very recently?
You’re not alone!
Love it, especially the font!
...I had just got used to the ‘bling’ version of your old avatar though
Thanks for this thread, I just noticed that one of my files is in there too! I’ve had 9 sales in 24 hours (never had more than 4 in 24 hours before) – ironically only 2 of those sales were on the file that was featured.
I’m thrilled, and congratulations too olivetty!
I added a web navigation without a CSS /HTML demo, I wasn’t happy with sales so I updated it to include a demo (it even has jQuery to create slide-effects on the drop-downs).
It’s been a few months since then and I haven’t really noticed an increase in sales but I have had to deal with a handful of support emails helping people to implement it, which I’d prefer not to have to deal with (considering how little each sale makes me).
Having said that, if I made another navigation I’d include a working demo again – I want my customers to find my files as useful as possible.
I would jump more over the new hover-preview. Believe it or not, I do think that must have influenced overall sales. Anyway, Amanda and the devs are already working on it, so let’s hope it is modified soonAgreed. I doubt it is affecting sales for existing/returning customers, but to new users (who we’re hoping to turn into customers!) – this is almost certainly going to have harmed conversion rates.
I wouldn’t worry about it too much though, I’d rather see them experimenting with ways of improving the site for customers, even if it does mean they get it wrong on the odd occasion.
