The only solution I can think is to increase the number of forum moderators. That way, there should be more moderators that could remove completely those “love baba” spam threads. Maybe not moderators, but something like “mini moderators” (some authors who spend more time on forums and have the “power” to remove/edit threads and so on ) that help envato forums. Maybe, they could be rewarded with a badge. I know many authors who want more badges really bad.
Nowadays everyone uses some plugins (or frameworks) when they develop a theme/template.
Is there any easier way to find out that a plugin is updated? From month to month, I visit the website of the plugin to see if there’s any updates, but that’s a little boring and time consuming. I am not talking about Bootstrap or jQuery, because it is easy to notice if there’s an update, but plugins like: owl-carousel, flex-slider, appear, jflickrfeed, magnific-popup etc. (Plugins that are not so popular )
How do you keep track of plugins updates? Newsletter, Twitter or something else?
Hey there. I have some questions about images we use in our projects.
Everyone love some beautiful HQ images and sometimes or mostly we use them in our projects. But everything has its disadvantages. HQ images are big and therefore, they slow our sites.
I know about optimizers, but, what I am wondering is how much should we optimise these images? Is 150KB – 250KB good? Oh, I am talking about 1920×1080 images (for backgrounds, sliders et ) All my images have between 150 and 250 when I optimise them.
By the way, 1920×1080 is large enough for 24’ or 27’ inch monitors?
Can you share your size (KB) images (1920×1080) ?
Case 1: Some buyers buy the HTML theme thinking it is a WordPress theme and this again affects the author ultimately.
HTML Template, not HTML theme. You are the one who confuses buyers.
Make sure to write in your item description that ‘this’ is a HTML Template, not a Wordpress theme.
I don’t think that our ( real life ) birthday is a good idea. Instead, what if we have 100% commission rates when your envato account is 1 year old, 2 years old and so on…. Birthday account :))
Hi. I’m a freelancer with almost 6 years of experience and most of the time I worked with clients from o-desk and elance. I am just wondering, if I am gonna create a theme to sell it here on themeforest, could I offer customizations for that theme ( of course, for a price ). I mean, am I allowed to write in the theme description that I offer customizations and to give a link to my services ( envato studio, peopleperhour or elance ) ?
