Robert, shown below are Nikon camera pixels to megapixels. You need to look at images no smaller than 4288×2848 (this is a 12 megapixel image) for your banner, the larger the better of course. The quality of the photo is what matters the most. 3008×2000 = 6.0 megapixels, APS-C (23.7×15.5 mm) 4288×2848 = 12.3 megapixels, APS-C (23.6×15.8 mm) 4928×3280 = 16.2 megapixels, Full frame (36×23.9 mm) 6000×4000 = 24.1 megapixels, APS-C (23.5×15.6 mm) 6016×4016 = 24.3 megapixels, Full frame (35.9×24 mm) 7360×4912 = 36.3 megapixels, Full frame (35.9×24 mm) There are many stock sites that sell large megapixel images but the general rule is the higher the resolution the higher the price you pay. Just Google for, hi res royalty free stock photos.
Thanks a lot! Much appreciated!
Robert, any image around 10-12 megapixels interpolated using a fractal resizing program would be of benefit to you, Before my D800 I used to enlarge 12 megapixel Images to 30+ megapixels with great output. At 3m in height when viewed at a distance the images will look good. The quality will depend on the original pictures though. Most banners that large are only printed at around 120dpi Hope that helps you.
Thanks , but i was just wondering if images that large can be found on the internet. All i can find are 4-5 K max resolution.
can you please share with me if you know where can i find huge size images? On PDune the biggest resolution is like 4k. I need to make a huge banner for a client and it’s like 12m x 4.5m long and i need to put some images on it. If i could find some that are around 10-12k pixels should work but i had no luck so far. The theme is about Islam and religion images, easy to find in smaller sizes but not easy to find big ones. If it’s not possible on the forum drop me a PM please, i’ll appreciate.
Thanks a lot,
i need some projects that have hexagons, or hexagonal placeholders or logo strings, all that is related to hexagons stryle/design. I know i’ve seen a lot of these on VH but i just can’t find them. Maybe you can point me out…
Edit: Never mind, the search feature help me out after all…
You do know that Flash doesnt work on iPads right?
The Digital Signage software we are using it’s based on Adobe AIR , not Flash and inside a Signage Presentation we can incorporate .swf Flash files and everything will run using a special Signage Player installed on the Ipads. So basically you can say that on a certain extent Flash files work on Ipads. All we need is a developer to make us the menus, that is why i posted here.
I need your help with creating interactive digital food menus, saved as swf files. These menus will be accessed via iPads, embedded in a digital signage platform & the end user should be able to click on the item in the menu, and have another window open with item description & item images.
What are your thoughts? How much would you charge for a let’s say 50 products restaurant menu.
One thing remains, maybe someone can help me…
So, if the option ’ from current time ’ it’s enabled, when i hit 0, the green bar goes beyond the work area when it should stop at the end of the work area…
I will try to search for solutions online but maybe anyone knows a fix…
I’ve deleted the Adobe After Effects 10.0-x64 Prefs.txt file from AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\10.0.
Looking much better, after the green bar is loading file autoplays but the CTI still not moving entirely, indicating that is not real time playback.
Is the same if i press 0 or i hit the space bar… weird…In both cases the infopanel tells it’s realtime…
It’s much more serious then the caps lock thing.
And i tried several solutions from the cow and still nothing. I can work, but is really annoying not previewing like it should. I’m sure there is a solution out there
